Ready to #LD37. Introducing.

The first post of my #LD37 blog will be in acquaintance with me and my plans to this Game Compo.
My name is Egor Davidov, russian indie developer and freelancer. I started programming when I was 12 years old.

The basic profile – web development, but also I’m developer of games,Server administrator and application programming (eg IoT and Smart House).

That’s all information you need :-)

About plans and my project.
I did not come up with a unique idea for a game, the more vote for the theme of the contest is still going. Most of all I love the one-screen games, runners and simple RPG. I am sure that future development is to build on these areas! And certainly it’s will be in 2D!!! Becouse 2D is AWESOME!!!

For the competition I have chosen category Ludum Dare Jam, because this is my first experience of participating in this competition

And by the way, I am very respectful attitude to time management, so now I publish my work schedule, and at all times will adhere to it!

All the time will be divided into 5 stages:

  1. Thinking through ideas and concepts.

I’ll be entering the LDJam!

Hiya! Just a last minute post because I’ve cleared my schedule enough to do the LDJam! HYPE!
I’ll probably be using Unreal as my primary development tool, as well as
Substance Painter
Substance Designer
Blender
Photoshop
Visual Studio Community 2015
& BFXR.
Depending on the theme, the weather, and Random.value, I may or may not go ahead and roll my own engine.

I’m in!

This is my first LD – feeling woefully unprepared XD

Probably going to use this as an excuse to play with Pixi.js – unless I get cold feet and decide to go with something a little more familiar.

Had a quick play with sfxr and loving the results so far – so likely to use that.

Going to be using Krita & Gimp for art assets.

Looking forward to the announcement of the themes so I can finally go to sleep, or try to at least!

I’m in!

And I need to make a first post, so here I am.

I’m in

i’m exhausted by my week of hard work, but i’m glad and proud to say:

“I’m in!”

I’m in

This’ll be my eighth Ludum Dare. I plan to use:

  • Engine: LOVE 0.10.2
  • Framework: Ammo 1.2
  • Text editor: Sublime Text 3
  • Pixel editor: Hexels 2
  • Sound: bfxr, FL Studio, and probably PaulStretch

Good luck everyone!

I’m in!

This is my first Jam alone, cannot wait to start! I will be using AGS (Adventure Game Studio), Photoshop and Piskel.

Im in!

Yea… My first post…

Im in!

Yea… My first post…

I’m In

For the second time, I’m in.

On my first try I had only 30 hours to work on the game, as I had to work on saturday and had an exam on sunday morning. This time I will be alone on my small kitchnet and will have the entire weekend, until monday night, to make it.

I’ll use Unity, scripting in C#. If I manage to make anything playable I’ll already be very happy.

Im in! My second LD in a row.

Hey, going in for the second time. Tools ill be using:

Unity as the game engine.

Notepad++, Visual studio as the IDE.

Blender for modelling.

Gimp for 2D graphics.

Maybe my personal codebase for all types of games which contains some basic character controllers, event systems and a inventory system.

Proably gonna use some of my older models as a base (mostly weapons and characters).

Good luck to all ! :)

I’m so in

Not been able to do any ludum dares for ages but finally I have the time to join in. Super keen to see what the theme is and how everyone interprets it.

I’ll be using the usual tools, Unity for the engine, VS for code, Audacity and likely openMPT for sound, and Paint.net or gimp for art, maybe aseprite if I decide on a pixel art type game.

Good luck and have fun everyone,

Over and out

Oh Baby, Baby

I keep forgetting to do these but now I remember.

Construct2
Photoshop
Reason for music because I can’t find my glockenspiel.
Maybe Spriter and BFXR, too.

Let’s get weird! Let’s get weird! Let’s get weird!!

I’m in!

Excited to participate in my first LD! I’ll be using Unity & Photoshop.

Not my first jam, but my first Ludum Dare

I’ve  done a lot of game jams over the years 12 or so.  I have not done a Ludum  Dare yet though and I’ll be participating this weekend.

I’ll try streaming the process.  I’ll be using GameMaker Studio 2.0 which is a software I’m still learning.  So tune in for the potential train wreck.

I have made several flash games over the years.  Hopefully I still have it.

Hey guys first Ludumdare jam! Looking forward to it!

Gonna start a few hours late but really looking forward to the pressure of putting something together.

I know Unity (C#) and a some of Unreal (C++/BP) but I think I’ll try my luck with Unreal to increase my skilz in it.

Can’t wait to see all the cool stuff that gets put up.

I’m in! I think..

Hey!

Third time’s the charm, right?

Well I hope so. This is the first I think I have nothing else planned for the ludum dare weekend, so I should be able to make something really good. At least I hope so. Because right now I am not super excited and I mostly just want to do nothing this weekend. However, I think as soon as that timer clicks over, I will put on some coffee and just start!

Stone Monkey Studios in for LD37

Hello again friends!

It looks like Stone Monkey Studios will be participating once more in this hellish, thoroughly satisfying venture.

This year, we will be:
Ryan Nohr – Code
Jon Rasmussen – Art/Code
Kyle Olson – Art/UI
Tim Brandl – Music/Sound Design

We’ll be using Unity, with a few utility libraries.

Looking forward to seeing your projects!
Cheers!
