Gonna work with the game logic for now, made enough assets for now. Will add more assets later on. But for now I have enough to test around.

Mr Williams in progress!

Hey! This is my first LDJAM, though I’ve been watching since 31. I’m not doing something too special, but I decided to test myself wit h a really easy but challenging project for me. As of right now, in my game I have all sprites done, although I was too lazy with the puzzles (jeje spoilers), so I did less that I’ve would wanted. But I don’t care, its my first LD so I’m not going for something big. My game is pretty hard I think, and I don’t think even one person will complete it though. Good luck to everyone.

First step

For me – theme “one room” is very variable.
So i will try to do a game-story in management style, based on card theme.

Main game field will be a table with lamp and phone:

I had similar idea but i was afraid of the complexity and chosen a different route eventually. Anyway I wish you good luck and i am looking forward to play your entry.

best blog post by far

Day one summary.

Around 13-ish hours in the game. Wasted around 8 hours trying to draw something decent looking, but in the end decided to switch to something simpler. Progress so far: level almost done, as well as basic movements. Whole game concept changed as well – i knew it would be hard to do something good with my experience in such a short time, but i totally overestimated my drawing skills. Oh well, you’ll never know until you try anyway :)

Migraines……

I can feel one starting in the back of my head. Need more coffee.
Still making progress though.

Now We’re Getting Somewhere!

With just a few hours left of the first day (before going out drinking) I’m pretty happy with the progress I’ve got so far! Only a few things left to draw and a few simple things left to code! Hopefully everyone else is having a great time too! Keep at it! :)

I’m in! (Late)

Hello! I have participated 2 times, a long time ago.

I’ve been lurking around during the other compos, but never ended up creating anything.

This time around, I’m making a game using Game Maker! My idea was to create the same room in different dimensions with slightly different walls. The player can switch between the unlocked dimensions any time they want. The main mechanics are pretty much done. Just need to do the artwork.

Here’s how it is looking:

Time for some rest. See you tomorrow!

Work in Progress

So there’s a mystery waiting to be solved. Or to be envisioned. Spent way too long getting movement code & text display ready.

End of Day 1

So I spruced up the office a little with some models I made with my girlfriend and worked on some background stuff, still got the majority of programming to do tomorrow though, and a special twist to add in.. But I don’t think its in too bad shape 😀

EndOfDay1

Actually alread done…

Started today with modelling – the room and the spider and the walking animation.

Had a long break watching netflix…

… and then did the animation and gameplay.

This is the progress gif from earlier:

And this is the finished game: http://jppresents.net/static/ld37

I enjoyed using babylonJS and blender – it’s my first 3d Ludum Dare game.

Now to make the timelapse video…

If you have time you should spend all of it polishing and making the game as good as you can :)

I’m late, but (probably) in.

I was informed LD was this weekend way too late, was already in lazy weekend mode. To stay lazy and save some time, I’m just making something simple but hopefully fun with Game Maker.

I like the concept you’re going to, tbh
