Wow! forgotten how much fun this can be.. (and a lot of things in Unity 😀 ). Quite pleased with my efforts in my 1st evar Ludum Dare. Hopefully tomorrow will see the inclusion of some actual gameplay 😀 And maybe more programmer art!! YAY! 😀 (apologies to your eyes)
G’night

So far I’ve been making pretty good progress. I think the art so far is above average for my submissions so I’m hoping it all comes together nicely. Tomorrow I’ll be focusing on:
Skeletons are the newest enemy to arrive in my dungeon.
Kill the skeleton mini-boss (spawns in randomly) and you can wear his crown!

\o/ The first screen with the chars! \o/ #LD37
I’ve been busy for several hours today so I haven’t been able to work for too long on this. I have an idea that you begin in a room and you walk out of the door but you come back to the same room but something has changed (e.g some new obstacle has been added blocking your path to freedom). So far I have *almost* got a working door, haha.
Different colored dimensions have different physics, but the room layout remains the same.
My game idea is a medieval weapons dealer who doesnt leave his shop and doesn’t know the consequences of his actions until later, via the medieval times? You can sell weapons and armor and make them but also choose weather or not to refuse anyone service, the consequences could be dire!
Alright 2 days 2 hours to go and nothing more than an empty Unity Project……. LETS DO THIS
Hey, that’s my first LD (only joined a MiniLD before). I am working in a team and this is our progress so far

Here we are almost a day in, you’d think I’d have some nice title for my game. My earlier idea of jumping down to get to a different floor color has since morphed into this:
I’ve got a lot of other code done as well. The floors seen here are built at startup based on a data set I give it. My ultimate goal now, and what I will likely be banging my head against the wall because of, is to modify a maze generation algorithm to build a random maze for this. You can think of color as a separate dimension, so this is basically a 3D maze here. The room in the gif is 21×21 tiles, but I may see about including options to set the room size and color count when you generate a maze.
First though I plan to complete the game loop. That means a main menu and a functional exit. And maybe a timer if you want to keep track of score. Once that is in then I can either work out the algorithm or maybe just hand-code a few mazes if I run out of time. And yes, more could still be done on the graphics as well…
Welcome back for update #2 on The Tomb, a strange little game about a cult of people that build their own tombs!
Here’s our first look at the game itself.
Meet Sam! She’s an upbeat young woman who has lived her whole life in this cult. To her, death embodies every day, every decision, every divergence in routine. As other NPCs will charmingly remind her, “Death comes for us all!”
A primary mechanic of the game centers on meeting and speaking with other characters to flesh out social skills. By interacting with the world in this way, the player learns more, forms stronger relationships, and ultimately will reveal more about the entire setting apart from just digging their own grave. (What a fun sentence to type!)
Right now, we’re working on getting the systems in place in order to have the other NPCs populate the world and be able to perform their charming dialogue and relationship building with Sam.
Here’s an image of the room becoming more populated! Rainy skies are visible through the windows, Sam is asleep (because while we are pursuing the long nap, all shorter naps are certainly welcome!), and another character – the Grocer – is coming to drop off something for Sam’s family.
More updates are coming soon — next time, we’ll go more into the systems and actual gameplay of the world itself. This is a blast, and I think we’re creating a really neat concept!

Things are going smoothly at the Östersund office, Rolle and Emil is going head ways with the basic mechanics, and we’re pretty much getting into the graphics parts of things soon.
I just got the game to a state where it’s somewhat playable and ready for a alpha release to the public, so I pushed it up to my gitpages for everyone to try out. If you’re interested, check it out on: LD37: The Murder Pit – Alpha 1

Basic Gameplay Functionality is there:

Ok, I can’t put it off any longer… I gotta make some gameplay now.
(oh yeah also twitter plug: @Legitimoose) (hey it makes sense now the gif works on twitter :P)
Hello LDers!
I have made really good progress today and have the bones of my game done.
Now it’s replacing the palceholder graphics, refining the stage and refining the scaling difficulty.

Hey there ! I hope everything is going well for you guys.
I just made a “short song“, but unfortunately it’s doesn’t fit to our project… So maybe someone will enjoy it ?
It’s something between a mysterious / jazzy atmosphere…
