Wheeee done.
Rest now. Cleaning up entry and all that lot later.
Rik&Me made a game about finding a room. Which disappeared. And messed up various things because it has the ultimate power. Of science and stuff. Feel free to check it out!

but doing bug testing right now and changing lots of small things, like colliders and damage dealt. Thankful for the input from our testers, a bit stressed due to much testing this late. The idea is to upload and submit in 2 hours, so that we have 4 hours to solve anything that can go wrong with that 😀
Oh, and this is our menu:

My first LD game is almost done, except for couple minor and at least one major thing! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel!
I might continue adding things after Ludum Dare. Maybe for a week or two.
sadly, I’ve run into some pretty big problems
I have no idea if I’ll make it in time…
That`s all!

Only thing left, is to send final version of a game!

It was very interesting: to do this project in so little time. Thanks, Ludum Dare! You are awesome!
Hey there,
we finally managed to get our little hotel simulator online. hope you’ll enjoy your stay!

Cheers
Dominik & Patrick
My Compo-game, “Open-plan Office Distractions”, is about a team of developers, and the numerous distractions they face by working in a one room open-plan office.

Pre-project Boss-briefing
In my original brainstorm, the game was supposed to be a management-game. You would actively control the workers, by assigning tasks, optimizing development processes, etc.
However, as I implemented the office, and the various “distractions”, I realized that I actually found it much more entertaining, to just watch the poor workers be hindered by the various distractions.
In the end, I therefore opted to remove most of the player interactions, leaving only the concept of spending “golden marks” (a reward triggered by finishing projects on time) on a few upgrades and on removing “failure”-marks (thereby prolonging the game/simulation).
I think this decision worked out rather well – in a way, I feel that the various mishaps which happens to the team during the projects are more entertaining, since you cannot prevent them directly.
I hope that you will try out my game, and leave a comment. Does the lack of “traditional” player interactions benefit my game?

Boss, please let me get back to work!
Welp, I’ve successfully completed my 13th LD in a row, and my fourth year without missing a single one!
My first Ludum Dare was LD25 in December of 2012. I entered the compo, worked my butt off for 48 hours, and made a neat little 2D platformer. Since then I only did the compo a few times, as I really love working in teams. But, to celebrate 4 years, I decided to go back to my compo roots and see how far I’ve come. Turns out it’s a lot! I’ll be writing on this in more detail in my postmortem.
The theme drove me to create a game inspired by Tommy Wiseau’s American classic film, The Room. In my game, You’re tearing me apart, play as Johnny during his last moments in the film.
I want to rate the HECK out of some games, so send me those swood links! Feel free to slide into those mentions/DMs on Twitter for a hot retweet and rate
Just got done uploading the second of my my time lapses.

If you need music (the actual music I listened to while making the game):
Wow.
After spending more than haft of saturday without the slightest idea of what to do, I got stuff done and actually finished a game for once!
I have no idea how difficult or easy this game is, but it’s something
Enjoy!

I am here.

I created a simple 2D engine for this LD, but it took so long, that I don’t have time now for the game itself :/. I’ll give up this round in shame 😀
Good luck!

After a day of hard work i’ve finally finished my game, Recyclinator. I’ve done all the assets and programming myself during this jam and i’m happy of how it turned out. Try it out here:RECYCLINATOR
