LD22 December 16–19, 2011

I’m in, probably

I’ll be using Python/Pygame, Pymunk if I do physics, probably Bfxr and Autotracker-Bu to generate audio, GIMP for images, Kate/Vim for the coding, my Python modules, and this game template.

Send More People is in!

Hey Guys, my friends and I (we call ourselves Send More People) are in!

We’re using Unity3d and possibly Maya or Blender, plus garageband, audacity, etc.

See you all then,

– ERic

I’m In

I’m in for my 2nd Ludum Dare 😀

I will again be using C# & XNA. MS Paint and photoshop for graphics and bfxr for sound effects.

I have started work on a small library for my games and for Ludum Dare entries, and I call it MageLib, you can download the source at http://downloads.paradoxbang.com/MageLib/MageLib_pre_22.rar but it doesn’t contain much, just stuff for setting up resolution and a render target for a resolution independent game. I may expand on it over the weekend.

Follow me on twitter @black_mage_andy

Good luck all :)

I’m In.

So, I’m in. This’ll be my second Ludum Dare.

I will be coding using openGL in C++. Some libraries I’ll be using: OIS for input handling, FTGL for text rendering, and ogg/vorbis for sound.

Still not certain whether to go 2D or 3D. Will wait for the  theme to decide. If I go 3D I might also bring in some engine code from another project– just basic 3D math and stuff, no game code. The schedule is going to be tight, this being the holidays, so I may end up switching from compo to jam midway through.

Alright. I think I’m in…

…unless my Friday night plans put me too far behind.

Here’s my toolset:

– ImpactJS
– Pixen
– Fireworks
– cxfr
– Emacs
– Google Chrome
– Rory’s Story Cubes

This will be my first time. Good luck everyone!

Time to make some cool games!!

So it seems I’m also in for the first time. I’m looking forward to play all the games that will be created this weekend.

My tools are:

  • Java with libGDX
  • Gimp and Kleki ( thanks to bitbof ) + Bamboo Pen
  • Sfxr and others..

Thanks to everybody who created and shared all the LD newbie guides, it really helped me prepared.

Problem?

Good! I dont want the theme to be kittens! Anything but kittens!

Alright it’s confirmed. I’m all in.

I’m gonna try and do this. It’s my first ludum dare and I’ve been excited the whole last week. When I fell ill and couldn’t do my warmup-game I was shaken.

I’m not exactly ready for this, but I love game programming. Count me in!

Language: Java

Libraries LWJGL and Slick-Util

IDE: Eclipse

Sound/Music: SFXR/Wolftram Tones

Graphics: GIMP

Journal: My blog.

Supplies: Anything I can find in my fridge, my neighbor’s fridge, and gatorade!

Good luck everyone! :)

Question about content

I see in the rules that all content must be generated within the contest timeline, but I am also seeing past projects and current posts stating that they have content that will be used for the contest? What is the official on this? and by content, I mean art and music.

Do you have an example? Are they in the Jam or the Competition?

First!

First Ludum Dare, first post, EXCITING!

Can’t wait for this weekend, I’m looking forward to creating a multiplayer kitten game.

  • Language: Java – JOGL – GLSL
  • IDE: Netbeans 6.7.1
  • Graphics: Paint has never failed me
  • Music/Sound: http://www.bfxr.net/
I’ll be using this Node System as my base project: https://github.com/andrew-smith/JavaBasicGLNode As well as my simple java networking code:  https://github.com/andrew-smith/JavaSimpleNetwork

Why such old NetBeans?

Going in!

First Ludum Dare for me (that I intend to finish):

I’ll be using:

Flixel + FlashDevelop + DAME + Bfxr + (most likely Flixel Power Tools)

Basecode disclosure

Depending on the theme and what my engine needs, I may steal heavily from http://www.assembla.com/code/pocket_net_rpg/subversion/nodes (disclaimer: code in question is utter, utter crap) (disclaimer to the disclaimer: said crappiness is all my fault).

Oh Come On

The original name I had in mind for Ludexor was Lazy Lynx.

This isn’t even a choice.

I’m plugged in and ready

Hi boys and girls. I’m very happy to be part of this. This is my first LD and I can’t wait for tomorrow.

I will be deving in AS 1 / 2, was learning AS 3 but didn’t get enough expertise to use it.

Anyway I hope this will be an awesome event.

Happy deving to all of you.

JET

No hate coming from here – you should use whatever you feel like you can do the best job with in the time allotted, and even for ‘serious’ work, there’s nothing inherently wrong with using a RAD tool, at least for the first few passes.

Slight change of plans…

Instead of using the standard Java AWT & Swing packages, I’m going to use Slick2D.

I used it previously & I can’t remember why I stopped with it…

Im in….but might not finish

Ill be using my small knowledge of java

photoshop cs 5

sfxr

bluej / eclipse

but… I may run out of time or have horrible graphics/sound

Also anyone know how to change profile picture

Considering changing tools

I successful made a warm-up game using Unity3d, but I’ve recently discovered how terrible my 3D modeling skills are, and how much better my pixel art skills are. So I’m considering changing my tool from Unity3D to Construct. I will let you know once I’ve made the final decision.

i’m in !

Let’s do it,

First time for me , that i will participate to lundum dare.
will use Flash + Flixel + Flare 3D :)

I hope i can finish in 48 h :)
