I'm in for the first time
I'm a bit of a newbie but I hope that I manage to create and finish something half decent at least.

So excited to be joining for the sixth time now! Good luck everyone, here's to having a blast this weekend!
Bend your knees in front of THE POWER OF DODO !!!

First time as a solo Developer.... wish me luck!!
Tools I'm going to use: - CODE: Construct 3 - ART: Libresprite - AUDIO: Reaper and Audacity - NOTE: Ghostwriter
let's hope for the best!
Learned a lot my first go round and i'm here to make something better this year
this is my first time trying ludum dare after knowing about it for years! I have a bit of coding experience but I started unity literally four days ago. tl;dr I'm a n00bie wanting to push my limits, I'm sure I'll have some fun while doing it. for the grafix I'll be using photoshop and i'll make the music in FL studio.

Hey LD People,
I'm back at it again. Call me in.
My tools: - LÖVE - my boilerplate: https://github.com/usysrc/love-boilerplate/ - VSCode/Vim - Aseprite/Affinity Designer - FLStudio/Ableton/Audacity
Drop by twitch.tv/NightRoost if anyone is interested in live progress updates!
I haven't been able to participate since LD45, but I've decided to put my life aside for a little while and join for compo this time around. I've barely done anything since then so this will be a challenge, and like always - I make it unnecessarily hard for myself.
Stack:! No engines again. I will haphazardly glue together a game using:
Code - Typescript + VSCode - Svelte for UI - Pixi.js - 2D WebGL rendering engine - Box2D Web assembly physics (this is gonna get ugly) - Howler.js for sounds
Art & Sound - bfxr - FLstudio - Aseprite - paint.net - Illustrator - a few other random things I got my hands on, will post updates
Food prep - Neapolitan pizza dough ready in the fridge - Chiken tikka masala cooking as we speak

Here we go, everyone. I've loudly proclaimed to the universe that I'm launching a game on Sunday so I can't back down now. Let's make this Release #5 for the fish!

Remember Feed The Fire a year ago? Yes, the one with the spurdo-octopus and not the other 10 entries with same name

Well, we got the same team together again with some new reinforcements too! Last time we had a very fun run together (and also my best run so far) and we're eager to get to it again.
Also this is the first time for me to work with same people in another LD. Up to this moment I've always had to gather a new ppl around me so this time is special as we already got experience in working together and we can go on to weld our teamwork even better :sunglasses:
I know we'll at least have a good time creating stuff together . I hope we'll also end up making something intresting for others to enjoy too!
Have a great jam everyone!
We accidentally started making a game two and a half years ago. Realizing our skills were a shadow of what we'd need, we participated in a ludum dare together and have been taking part in every one since. We still have a lot to learn, but we won't give up.
This time around, we want to try to make something with progression, as we've discovered we have a lot of difficulty in explaining gameplay mechanics to players. All of us dislike tutorials in games to some degree, but our image of what a tutorial should be is very clearly at odds with what has been required for the features we've put in our games. It's our greatest hurdle, and the plan is to overcome that with a progression system, and maybe learn what it means to make an engaging and fun tutorial along the way.
We're aiming for the top 20% in all categories. Here's hoping we don't make an ugly baby.
There are some traditions that we just have to make time for them, and LD is one of these traditions :) Good luck everyone!
Wow. The themes REALLY suck this year!
hello everyone :) glhf
Here is a traditional splash screen which we will use for our LD game. You also can use it if you want.

For this LD, I'll try to make a game all by myself, except for music and SFX (that I'll most likely get from OGA).
Tools I am going to use:
LD starts at 3 AM in here. Too late to stay awake, too early to wake up. BUT I CANT WAIT!
yo i'm in if the theme is nice. Again in C and opengl , no libray no seatbelt cowboy mode. okay maybe a sound library if i need sound. thats a hassle.
