Ludum Dare 50 April 2–5, 2022

I'm (hopefully) in

I'll be in unless something happens to my schedule. Here are my suggested themes: Themes.png Also, if the schedule works out, this will be my second game jam! Hopefully I can make a better game than my first game jam's.

Buscando integrantes para nuestro equipo (LAS)

Hola!

2nd Game Jam and My Suggestions

  • Everything is Purchasable
  • Try Not to Move
  • Who Is Playing

Also looking for an artist, I can do C# programming

I'm in again...

Myself and @lenny-rudeberg are going to take another run at it! Last time we worked together we did something pixel-y and achieved a relatively polished result (at least from a visual perspective... the code should probably be buried at the bottom of a dark cave).

This time I think we'll do something 3D with y'know models and Quaternions (yay?) and stuff... maybe. I guess it depends on what we come up with when we see the theme.

Either way the toolset will be:

  • Engine: Unity
  • IDE: VS
  • 2D stuff: Aseprite or Photoshop
  • 3D stuff: Blender
  • 4D stuff: The universe
  • 5D stuff: The multiverse
  • Sounds: Sfxr
  • Music: Logic X (and probably Fruity Studio if @lenny-rudeberg does some tunes)
  • Snacks: Tim Tams

I'm super keen! Love me a good Ludum Dare, I do!

Sound Designer Looking For Team

Hello!

I'm a sound designer over in the UK looking for a team for the Ludum Dare 50.

Currently working on a 2D roguelike game https://twitter.com/IslandFallout (in dev.) and have experience in Wwise too

Great to meet you all and hope to meet more of you at the jam!

(I've removed the portfolio link due to people trying to use it without permission...but if you would like to message, please do!)

My first Ludum Dare o-o and my suggestions

Welp it's happening, after a year of learning to code in C# I'm joining Ludum Dare 50, my first game jam ever. Anxious but also really excited to participate after having watched from the sidelines for so long. Good luck everyone!

I'm in / Beidh mé libh!

I'm in again. Not sure what I'm going to use, except that some Gaeilge (Irish) is a given :D

We're in!

We're @ArcaneRituals, more specifically @HexyVexy and @AR__Teddy. We've made some Video Games before, but we're entering our first Ludum Dare (and jam in general!) to try and work on our scoping. We started working in the pandemic, so this will also be our first time working in the same physical space for the duration of the weekend! Can you tell from the exclamation marks I'm a little excited?

Rob will be working on graphics, writing, design, and general production.

Teddy will be working on code, music, and design.

Wish us luck, I can't wait to see what everyone makes!

Ludum Dare Extra Question

Can we use any assets for the extra, or do we have to make everything from scratch? If we have 2-3 weeks to do the extra, how will we be able play and rate compo/jam games when we havent finished a game yet, not to mention if we take the full 2-3 weeks for the extra game, when will we have time to play other ppls games.

I will be doing the extra regardless, but this is some things floating around in my mind about it right now. if you know any of the information let me know thanks.

IGNORE PLS

ALL SORTED

I'm in, it's LD50 time.

This will be my 27th ludumdare in a row. xD i started at LD24, and am still here apparently. I’ll be using these this time:

IDE: Eclipse - Eclipse Foundation

Engine: LibGdx - Open Source, originally written by Mario Zechner

Graphics: aseprite/paint.net -david capello/Rick Brewster; Tiled - Thorbjørn Lindeijer; TexturePacker - main guy: Metaphore, also: tommyettinger, devjn, terafog, thefacecore, hangman and voidburn.

Fonts: FontForge - George Williams and the FontForge Project contributors

Sound: Audacity - Dominic Mazzoni and Roger Dannenberg

Music: Cakewalk by BandLab

Timelapse: Chronolapse - keeyai

Good luck out there. I hope i can make something else that's fun. Have a great event fellow ludumdarians!

I'm in ;))

Last time I created an absolute piece of garbage. This time I'll actually make something good! I'll be doing the compo :D

Engine: Construct 3 Art: Aseprite Music: Bandlanb SFX: Chiptone

That's all! I hope everyone has a great time!

my suggestions for you

imaginary world:

I think that's opening many possibilities, from going trivially "all fantasy" to "no graphics", and that's just if we talk about visuals. possibilities are endless.

secretly educated:

I always like that about books, when they tell you a little story and by the end you actually understand something on a bigger scope. But it would be also fun if you get to know something about a language, music, physics, ethnicity, geography etc. without realizing cause you had fun gaming.

new genre:

I'd like to fully stretch your brain muscles...oh sh... I got to do this too.

Its that time of the year again :)

My few suggestions:

LDSuggestions.PNG

They are definitely influenced by the shit happening in our todays world. But i think they are not limited to it and can be interpreted in different ways to give enough freedom for the games design.

See you in April
