Ludum Dare 58 October 3–6, 2025

Mobile dev with team have arrived

After a couple of 2D projects on itch, we are arrived at Ludum Dare to make a 3D game inspired by post-processing and SFX. Excited to dive in {E5CA0178-8DCD-4A81-BAAB-3793AECBDA0C}.png

We're in!

I'm ready for some desperately needed distraction. LET'S GOOOOOOOO!!!

Ready to rock

Wish all off you to have a great weekend! >:D

We are in!

Here we go again—Ludum Dare number FOUR for our little trio! Every time the jam rolls around, I wonder if the madness of 72 hours will finally get the better of us… and every time, we somehow crawl out the other side with a finished game, a heap of stories, and a whole lot of pride in what we made together.

From our first outing with Apprentice Quest (LD55) to the chaos of Papercat Farms (LD56), and then diving headfirst into the strange and surreal with Dive Into the Hive Mind (LD57), each entry has been its own wild ride. If you’ve read my post-mortem from last time, you’ll know I came away equal parts exhausted and exhilarated—but mostly grateful to be doing this with friends who can match (and fuel) each other's energy when the clock is ticking.

Words from the Squad

(Bizzybee - SFX and Music Guru)

After the long month of participating in Spooktober (in which two of my three teams submitted: The Road Less Travelled and Midnight Oil ), I'm looking forward to the one-weekend grind of LD! Like last time, I'm excited to see what comes of being pushed to finish more so than to perfect. It's such a wonderful way of training those "good enough" creative muscles. Fingers crossed that this year we can top our previous work!

(Fgeva - Programmer, God of Actual Programming Logic)

Time for me to get some distraction from my chess engine and spend all my waking hours on a different game this weekend! I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of idea we come up with for whatever weirdness the theme is.

(Balimaar - Programmer, God of Bug Creation)

For me, Ludum Dare is about more than making a game in three days—it’s about the rush, the laughter, and the teamwork that happens when everything is on fire and we just keep going anyway. I’ve been looking forward to this ever since we hit “submit” on Hive Mind, and the fact that we’re now heading into our fourth jam together makes it feel even more special.

I’m ready for another weekend of sleep deprivation, ridiculous bug-fixes at 3AM, and those little breakthrough moments when something finally clicks and the whole room erupts in celebration. That’s the magic of this event—and the reason I keep coming back.

In shot...

So yes, we are absolutely IN for Ludum Dare 58. The theme may surprise us, the scope may spiral, and the hours will disappear faster than ever… but with this team, I know we’ll have a blast no matter what we end up building. Here’s to another 72 hours of creativity, chaos, and camaraderie—let’s make it count!

We're Here!

I'm excited to once again be participating in this years game jam! I'm the primary artist for my team with the goal of learning Aseprite and making some awesome pixel art!! I've already done a couple "test jams" over the past week to test out the pixel art workflow and I have been having a blast.

Feel free to catch me live on twitch @demilurii when the jam comes! I'll be streaming our process the whole weekend so we can look back and laugh at our insanity.

An Optimistic Lookahead

For this being my 11th Ludum Dare I've participated in (one of the games never got posted), I'm feeling so much more optimistic going into the jam this time than any other event I've been a part of.

Normally at this point I'm looking at the themes and thinking "Oh boy I really hope it's not that one", or getting too attached to some ideas that are aligned with specific themes, but this time around I feel like every single theme is good to me and I could figure something out for all of them.

Not just with the themes, but at this point I feel so much more confident about the tools I'll be using and my skill/ability to use them. Most of all, after all the projects I've done, I've come to learn what my limits are, and what is too much to make for a jam like this. I'll be using Unity like I usually do, with Aseprite for any textures, and Blender in case I do any modeling.

I'm super excited to participate, and I'm so excited to see what everyone else makes! 💗

Sup guys! It's our first LD jam

Do we need to do anything so we don't miss this jam?

Eleven Studio : when 2 brothers are making games together !

This is a photo of my bro (right) and I (left), maybe like 35 years ago in front of our first family computer (Amstrad CPC 464), with some kind of magic in the eyes ! Since that moment, we'd always wanted to make our own games...

My bro is now a freelance coder and I am a freelance designer.

After making games with other friends since 2018 (GGJ), we decided for the last LD to make our first "bro' only" game (Life&Depth) and we are now ready to make the second one this weekend ! :sparkles:

May all of you have fun and put some magic in our eyes :tophat:

Daughter n' Father

Hi All!

This will be my 2nd LD, but this time is super special for me... I team up with my daughter (12yo) I will do code, she will do all other parts!

A really great gift from life ❤️

Nice JAM to everybody!

Maybe I'll win this time

I think I'll be using Godot this time around. Not sure though. I'd like to experiment with some data-oriented programming at some point. This marks my 13th LD, and I'm hoping to make something that I'm proud of. It's my first one after moving to college, so I won't be in the same room as my dad, but he's still participating!

In It to…er…learn by failing.

This will be my first time doing Ludum Dare, but I’ve made a few things in other jams. They’re mostly mediocre-to-bad, but I tend to come away from them all having learned something new. Hope that will be the case this time.

My first game jam

My friend @ssiannas made me do this post to prove that I am not a bot.

p.s. bibob

I've only recently started my journey as a game developer.I really want to test my creativity skills and see what I can do with this jam.

Wallpaper Time

Been awhile since I've done one of these! Wanted to make something a little spooky and atmospheric...
