Hi everyone! This is most of our UI theme. Quite happy with how it's turning out so far!

Glad the theme has been inspirational for most of you. I have been stuck on coming up with anything for it though. 18 hours in and I don't have anything to show, I doubt it'll change anytime soon.
I played around with trying to get some physics based prototypes working. Hardly any of them worked let alone seemed interesting enough to pursue. Frankly I don't even know why I participate in these anymore.
Hope you find more enjoyment out of this jam than I have.
Goodbye.

Yeah the level design should not be the thing to do on the first day. But at least it allows me to search for a particular aesthetic!
You play as the dog, your mission is to guide your owner to the grocery store, without any explosions. You see, Old Roger has a little war wound, not to say he is a literal warhead.
The bottom text is a placeholder for the storytelling/dialogues. I found a cool pixel font this morning, I might use it for other projects.
I also implemented some cars, that can bump into you, which puts stress on the leash, which eventually detonates Old Roger. Be careful!

... and what is that on those monitors? Isn't that The Kostka, our new game releasing soon on all 4 platforms?. Wishlist Now!
Finally, I have the main mechanic of the game working! And I'm kind of happy I made all the art myself, (won't have to opt-out of graphics). Almost 75% of the game is working and the main the character (not the player) is real unstable (which is good). All that's left now, is level design and some more mechanics. If I do it fast... I think I'll be able to submit for Compo this time!
Here’s our Pizza Guy! Yummy 🤡🤡🤡
Hello Guys I am Supine and this is my first ever LD jam ever!! i am so Hyped for it
Day 1 was very productive and done the core gameplay and only needed some polishing Most of the Art work done and I Could have completed the game Day 1 itself but Fortunately I had big problem with adding new feature for the game. It took me 5 hours to fix it!
But it is fixed and I am done for day!
Theme was taken so much of time for finding a good idea due to very hard theme interpretation of this year But I have kinda bad to be said!
The idea : You work in lava mine collecting metals. One day you found the Very rare metal : IRON!!! and that time the mine starts to fall apart so you are sending platform bot to send the metal to safety. So Defend the metal for longer duartion!
The gameplay : You control a platform bot and your objective is to keep the metal save and you also have to save it from falling rocks
That's all for day, Day 2 is going to awesome!!!
Here is a screenshot of the game!
At first I had no idea what to do with this theme, but after some brainstorming, I'm really proud of the concept and I love how the graphics are turning out!!

I made the drawing haha!!
We have a name and our main character! In Alchemeow our cat will have to mix elements to stop the unstable potion from exploding! We continue working with @dynames, @reant and @sirixam
Made jumping pads for the game :)))))

When you order to much coffee to your intern.

So I went against a couple of the tips that I posted the other day.
You have 48 hours (72 for Jam), but in reality you only have about 20. - I just coded for a total of 12hr(tracked), excluding eating time etc. Tomorrow I will have about about 12 ~ 14 hours, which means I probably would have spend about 25~hours.
Plan out your scope and cut it by half. At the end of the first day, cut whatever is left by half again. - I don't plan to cut any, because most of them are fun. Good luck to me I guess ?
Identify your MVP, and beeline to a it ASAP. - Well I technically did have a playable build by 4 hours in. However I only managed to finish the core loop just 2 hours ago.
The good thing is, I have a playable demo. Do try it on your phone.
The game is about ... well, technically it is more like an Operating System.
An asteroid crashed into your ship, making the entire ship unstable. You are currently bed-ridden, and have no choice but to navigate your ship back home via a phone. The sad thing is, the OS is really buggy and unstable.

Many features are not done yet, so tomorrow will be a long day for me.
The day is coming to an end.
Now we are writing code, designing and writing formulas for our game.
You can look at our result)

So I finally decided that the idea I had might be worth pursuing.
It's hardly going to impress anyone but I think I might have some fun making it..

I'm streaming live my gamedev entry for this LDJam!
