Formorph such an amazing name!!!

The almost done! Music Game!

The game is almost done, and i trying to polish and publishing it right now.
It was hard Ludum Dare for me, lets see what we got from it.
Here is some screenshots, and good luck to all!

Finished!

I managed to get all the mechanics finished on the first day, so I spent today making our game more polished and I’m quite happy with the result.

screenshot

Since I’m bad at art everything is white squares on a black background which ended up giving the game an interesting feel.

This was our 3rd ludum dare and we really enjoyed it, I will be attempting to solo it next time though :)

Behind

So Scratch, my programming language I’m using, was down for maintenance for 3 hours. So I lost that time, and then I decided to watch YouTube. I’m terrible at time management.

Water is coming, are you ready?

water-island-01

Made a weird little game for the compo where you battle against the shape shifting island.
Erosion is your greatest enemy :)

Atlantis!

Further to yesterday’s progress, today I added in mines and farms and implemented using up prayer points to “rescue” your sunken buildings. I also implemented “maintenance”, so buildings run at half efficiency if you run out of stone and are abandoned if you go for too long a period without stone. Also, victory and loss conditions, and a win/lose screen were added.

Currently in the process of balancing the game. Am considering how much control to give to the player in terms of micromanaging their cities. Whether to let them “pause” population increase, even if there is a food surplus. If I get time this evening, I will also add in buildings that belong to the city, and Temples that give extra prayer points. Also on the todo list is making distance from city affect mine and farm production as well as the underlying terrain type (grass/mountains). And the game needs some graphical indications to show when buildings are not being maintained / close to being abandoned or close to being ruined by way of being underwater. Plus also some indication of how close the player is to winning (how many Wonders they have and how many they need and for how long before victory happens). Maybe some extra data on the resources too (such as how many they will +/- the next turn)

Screwed

I have basically missed all of yesterday, does anyone think I still have enough time to make something?

Give it a go. You may surprise yourself, and us!

Without Utnah

screenshot

My project is called “Without Utnah”. It’s a roguelike with a simple goal: make all of the grey squares green by walking over them. You lose by walking into enemies. By picking up animal power ups you shapeshift into another animal, each has unique abilities.

I’ll probably submit in the last minute, since there’s a lot of things left to do! D:

Need Feedback!

Submitted the demo early. Now I’l dive into graphics and levels.
Tell me please if adding somthing would make the game better.

Features I plan to add:

– An undo button at least for one move.
– Menu.
– Somehow indicate the “player”.
– Levels.
– Graphics.

3Ro2CSiaMoaT is coming

despite me having fever, the thing is alive!
3Ro2CSiaMoaT-screen
unfortunately we do have ants again (perhaps because I didn’t place them in the game… ant-right) — we have to go out for 2h (chemical warfare!).
but still there’s pletny of time in the evening to design some levels…
good luck everyone!

I’m running on a fever too. Happy with what I’m making tho. Good luck

Games done.. Gave up on art.

I gave up on making art and just used some from OpenGameArt.

It’s not a compo entry anymore :(

Soundtrack Done

The music is pretty nonsequitur, but then the game is too. Made this with a Korg Volca Sample in a jam session just now. Pretty fun, I’m just about done with this game.

Update #3

All the menus are in. Finally! Now all thats left is to make enemies, sound, and levels.

“⬛R⬤PPING ONTO SH▲PES” released!

⬛R⬤PPING ONTO SH▲PES

I just finished my game “⬛R⬤PPING ONTO SH▲PES”! I could’ve added more levels but I really don’t have any more time.

In “⬛R⬤PPING ONTO SH▲PES” you try to get a ball to fall onto a green shape by shifting, moving, toggling, bouncing on, and avoiding other shapes!

But let’s quit talking (reading/writing actually) and play the game (or look at some screenshots first if you’re not convinced)!

Screnshot - Title Screen

The start screen! The shapes in the title are actually shift-able too!

Screenshot - Level 5

A screenshot from level 5, the first level with move-able shapes.

Screenshot - Level 7

A screenshot from level 7 featuring toggle-able blocks.

And… I’m back!

Iv’e got 7 hours to do art and music, go! I NEED A COMPO ENTRY.

The Purple Banana

VeryBusyGloryBe

And The Purple Banana is ready to roll! I might do a little polish here or there and add flash effects and maybe a sound or two. But otherwise, this is done. I have a lot of work to do elsewhere and this was supposed to be very short. I’ll submit it in a bit.
