Clarification…
When the rules say you can package-up and submit in submission hour. That means you can build IN submission hour right? Just as long as the game is finished?

And I’m done. I’ll probably write a longer post tomorrow, but now I think it is time for sleep

This is Lenny. He’s a magical cuttlefish.

Using his magical shapeshifting powers, he likes to help people. Many situations will arise for Lenny to save the day. Sometimes the problems will be big or small.

Help Lenny do what he does best by telling him what to turn into. Just type in an object for Lenny and watch him transform into the object, saving the day. But make sure you turn into the right object. Each situation can only be resolved by certain objects.
Help Lenny the Magical Cuttlefish, in our Ludum Dare game, Cuddle Fish!
Be sure to vote, and enjoy 😀
Play it Here! Hey everyone! I hope you had a great Ludum Dare.

I did it! My first LD, and I did it all by myself (next time I’m getting a team). After 72 hours, lots of chips, and lots of whatever you call writer’s block for programmers (coder constipation?). Finally. My game is a shapeshifting platformer. Check it out!
Hi! We’re a team of five game design students from Houston, Texas. LD35 was the first game jam any of us participated in, and it was a lot of fun! Our game is called ‘Gene Goes to the Zoo’. In it, you play as a hungry alien visitor to Earth named Gene. You’ve got to navigate environments full of escaped zoo animals – skunks, rhinoceroses, tigers, and more! Gene’s best weapon is his appetite- by eating the animals, he absorbs their DNA and can obtain their abilities! Not only that, by combining the DNA, the player can unlock new special abilities! What happens when you combine the high-flying nature of a bird with the deadly pounce of a tiger? See for yourself!
I just added a web version of my compo game “VampShift: The Bloodening”, created using Emscripten. Hopefully now more people will be able to give it a try.
However, since this port was done after the compo ended, and by necessity contains some bug fixes, you should take that into account if you plan to rate the game having only played this version.
For the full LD Link with downloadable versions, look here.

Yes, even though the game is ready for first release and it can be downloaded for both Windows and Android, it is still far from finished. We will continue working on it and hope to deliver an even beter game in the future. For now we will focus upon taking some rest and voting.
Why not try it out, and please give us any feedback you might have!
The old blood is now here guys try the demo now :http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-35/?action=preview&uid=92865

Submitted!! This hardcore platformer was forged from the sweat of 14 talented people many of whom never worked together. They just showed up, a team started to be formed and then even more showed up. This is what I love about Ludum Dare! All art, music, animation, and cutesy you-just-died-again mood created within period of the Ludum Dare contest.

So I got my entry done in time for the Jam! I could have had it in for the compo, but I procrastinated and played way too much Dark Souls. 😛
So I had a fairly ambitious idea. I wanted to basically remake Hotline Miami. It was the first time I had used the Godot engine (or any engine, really) for a serious project. I’m pretty amazed by how flexible it is and how quickly I was able to bust out features with relatively little effort. It really is an amazing engine.
If you want to try my entry, Hotline Trump Tower, you can do so here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-35/?action=preview&uid=34647
In my game (I can’t believe we thought of this idea, let alone go through with it), you play as a shapeshifting reptilian alien whose goal is to infiltrate Trump Tower, find and kill Donald Trump, and escape in his form so you can go run for president and Make America Great Again™! Yeah…
So its been a day since I finished and I think I did pretty well. I am getting positive feedback in the comments and I don’t think there were many errors in the game. I am very satisfied with what I got done.
Here are some screenshots:
