I just uploaded my entry’s web version which you can play from the > entry page <
Catapult is a Tower Defense Puzzle thingy, very short and now there’s no need to download it, you can play it from the web.
Even though you do so it’s still configurable and you can change into stretch mode into your resolution or mute the soundtrack (if you so desire) and so now it’s extra simple and comfy to play it.
Just as a note: all of this I’ve done during the compo because I feared it’s not cool to add it afterwords. If you know wether it’s acceptable to do it later please do comment so I’ll know and stop wasting time haha.
Hope you enjoy =)!
I’m getting there! Only remains the musics now
It’s kind of a puzzle/strategy/card game. Surely the most complex gameplay I’ve made with Construct 2 (I really wasn’t sure to succeed tbh).
Can’t wait to play your games!
I’ve been getting a lot of people that like my LD entry. 😀
But after tons of people playing it, ZERO people have beaten the 3rd level(I haven’t either)! If you are looking for a challenge please check out my game. 😀
Make sure you comment which level you got to and with how many points!
Play and comment here:
Here is a random video of me getting fairly far in it:
I really had my doubts halfway through the jam that I was gonna finish my game, but I did it! At least kind of 😛 At least I have something that is semi-playable, and I would love to hear your thoughts about it!

Have to go to work- see you all back here in eight hours for the big crunch!
My fellow countrymen may have foolishly voted us out of Europe, but I still love you guys over on the continent. So in an act of Brexit rebellion I have programmed support for the major European keyboards layouts, take that The Government!
Support for QWERTY, AZERTY and QZERTY, with the Arrow Keys and ESDF thrown in for good measure (Although if you want my recommendation it plays much better with the 360 pad)

Sadly, I don´t think I have time to finish this today… buhu, Bunu.

Yesterday i finsihed my fifth ludum dare compo.
Proud as always that I am capable of creating a ‘game’ in 48 hours.
Though its nothing to some on this site who create amazing games.
Getting better every time and learning a lot. had a lot of fun this weekend.
untill next times folks.
You can check the game out here : http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-36/?action=preview&uid=37570
So, Windows 10 decided to do one of its random restarts, ultimately corrupting all of my game’s images in the procress.
I’m so glad that eclipse kept a temporary backup, otherwise I’d have been screwed. There’d be no way I could recreate all of those textures (and levels, as they are generated from an image) and still be able to add in all the features I need for a “complete” game before the Jam comes to a close.
Needless to say, I’ll be keeping a backup every few minutes from now on. Keep going everyone!
Also, if anyone knows how to stop Windows 10 from doing random reboots, I’d love to know. It happens too often to me (around once every one or two weeks) with no warning.

Halfway through Day 3, and we’re getting pretty close. The majority of the monsters are implemented. The only enemy it’s lacking is a boss battle. The level is pretty decent- it could do with being longer, but I’ll need my teammate for that. Unfortunately, he isn’t about at the moment, but I’m sure he’ll be around this evening. Anyway, here’s a little screenshot:

Well if decided that Il try and make some thing as for what I’m not sure almost go a character though but what the game is going to be about I have no idea

Still very happy this works.
Also works when throwing the rock at another player over the network. 😀#LDJAM #VR pic.twitter.com/6i32LOIDGI— Brian Lindenhof (@TheShadowBrain) August 29, 2016
A shameless plug. http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-36/?action=preview&uid=52238

First of all, I refuse to call this a post-mortem, because post-partum is so much more appropriate, and no one died (this time :P).
After my failure in LD 35, I came back more determined than before to finish a game. And since my LD 34 entry didn’t have any music, I decided I wanted music in it this time.
What went right:
+ The music! It took some hours of screwing around with my recording device and with various Java audio interfaces, but I got my music to play in-game, on loop.
+ The gestalt — unlike last time, I managed to implement several different aspects of a game without getting distracted by one while working on another.
What went wrong (or could be better):
+ The art — it wasn’t so bad, I just didn’t enjoy making it. I’ll probably make a more abstract game next time, or else find an artist and enter the Jam.
+ The clicks — in a rush, I made it so that when you pick up an item, its upper-left corner, not its center, follows your mouse. This made it hard for players to put the items where they wanted, since they were probably aiming the center of the item where they wanted it to go.
+ The difficulty — without spoiling too much: one player noted that the game can be finished by trial and error, i.e. without actually solving the core puzzle. But, others enjoyed the more tangential challenges. Next time I’ll work on making every puzzle, or at least the important ones, harder to finish without actually solving them.
What (nearly) went ugly:
The very first two comments on my game, which I read before going to bed last night, both stated that they couldn’t run the game. I went to sleep thinking I had some huge problem that I’d need to solve, woke up stressed, and went immediately on LD.com to see if anyone had posted more details on the problem…only to find that other people had no problem, and that one of the two original commentors had realized the problem was on their end — their JVM needed to be updated — and fixed it. The other seemed to have unpacked the .jar, which was itself the runnable game, thinking that a different .jar would be inside.
I’ll still probably write the next game in Java 7 and put it in a .zip with instructions, though, just to make it silliness-proof

Excellent.
Though I made my submission yesterday ( and on time! yay! ), I spent today trying to fix that damn bug that made it freeze in web browsers. But I’m finally done, and leaving you with the fruit of my labor.

This is what Atlantis Warmachine celebrating victory looks like.
It was a long weekend. Many hours awake, many papers scribbled, many cigs smoked, many cofees and sodas drinked, many shorter or longer conversations with fellow gamedevs had.
Though this was my first LD ever, It was an experience to remember. I actually finished and released a game. It has no sound or music ( though it tries to mask it with an “ancient technology” notification right at the beginning ). It has no menu, background is improvised, enemy types are distinguished by color, and the dialogue system looks kind of DOS-ish as well. But it is out. First game ever to see the light of the day, after years an years of starting and killing project after project. Anyone familiar with a “troubled lazy perfectionist” mindset will understand the value it holds to me. It can’t be described, and it only took two days ( Two and half, including the web bug removal ).
I can’t thank enough to everyone on Ludum Dare. I played many great games here ( and am keeping them! I’m gonna make that serpent in Archimagic sorry, even if it kills me ), chat with amazing people, laughed hard ( sometimes way too hard ), and now it’s over. I need to sleep, and then find out if anyone in my life from before LD remembers me. The last two days felt like a year. And an amazing one at that.
You people are amazing! Kudos!
P.S.: my spoils of war; Atlantis Warmachine

Its kinda good experience playing with 3D in Unity.
Most of the time spending on finding resources, texture and applying animation to the ThirdPersonController.
(even the main menu camera shot angle took some time… :D)
Still have list of idea haven’t implemented such as telekinetic puzzle…
Well, I hope you all enjoy the scene and the camera perspective that intentionally to make the game looks interesting .
