Ok, so player controls a farmer which has to rescue his chickens from the wolves and return them to the farm. Wolves will chase and eat both the chickens and the farmer, and they run faster. So, sometimes, sacrifices must be made, leaving a chicken behind to run away while the wolf eats it. Each level requires more chickens to be saved.
The bad news is that there is so much to do, and I'm not sure if I get to finish in time.
I'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
Good night!
Thats how it is looking so far
This time I was going to do something different; I stayed up until 7 AM yesterday, so I had three hours from the start to think up an idea, and bootstrap the game I'd make during the weekend! Sadly, I didn't really come up with anything, and ended up just sleeping in a whole lot. Woke up, thought of some ideas too big to handle, and started just making something. Now I have a first person template with ~picking items up~ implemented, but that's about it. The more problematic part is that we're halfway, and I have no high level concept for my game.
Maybe I'll make some kinda adventure game, after all, I've kinda implemented the framework for it. Here's a link to a post with some footage, because you can't upload videos to this website, and gifs of fps games are really big.
I was working with SphereOverlapping. Everything was going great, I got Objects with layerMask in Collider[]. Guess what... UNITY DOSN'T Care, the array is empty, but it shows that something is in the array is... Fix SphereOverlapping :(. Anyways I did in another way.
Neighborhood friendly dragon WIP. @iferit is also hard at work to make sure you can fly it!... And yes! S/he will spit fire! And things will BURN!!! -insert evil cackle-

Ready to play as Dave the badass in his awful 3D World ?? The more powerful you decide to be, the more hard side effects will be.
Waiot and see ;)

Unfortunately due to computer issues I will be pulling out of this Compo. Hope to have a new computer by the next competition in April. Wish me luck for getting a computer which can support making, well anything...
We do what we must, because we can. For the people who are still alive.

Honestly quite excited. Tweet.
Need to know by the time Compo is over so I can publish it.
Here is the game: https://generic-username.itch.io/humans-n-aliens-ldjam-43
First time developing solo, this page is also to keep up to date and will be updated regularly
Hi everybody!
I'd like to share some gifs of our HUD and our pirate ship.

Arrrrr!!!
Here with our update in the point and click adventure!
We are so excited to continue tomorrow!
Well hurrah, the basic game kinda works. You can convert towns, and the soldiers try and take them back. However, the sacrifice bit still isn't in the game... which is kinda important.

This mysterious bandit has managed to live in the Labyrinth besides her handicap. She identifies herself in the protagonist ; she offers him her help during his adventure

Second Ludum Dare for me. This time I'm making....
a worker management game where you have to lay people off every quarter to balance the budget. corporate periodically issues decrees for you to reduce your budget or increase productivity in exchange for bonuses, which you can use to buy tchotkes to decorate your office.
This art is hopefully not final (especially some of the UI lol), but some work in progress stuff to share -

I've mostly been working on setting up the simulation tick today. (randomly generated) Workers slowly become friends with nearby coworkers overtime. Having friends increases their morale. Morale affects their productivity. At the end of every quarter, all employees get a percentage raise as well.
I've also added special highlighting modes to pinpoint who your most expensive and least productive workers are -

Next up for me is adding the Quarterly goals you have to hit, then fleshing out hiring & firing workers.
A day as almost past and I have nothing to shows for.
I have coded some mechanics for herds of sheep and I almost have a working idea to create something that resemble a game. At this point i think that I will shoot for the jam.

Last upate of the day! I finished almost all the Logic, Sounds and Animations, now I've to start creating the art (wich is the best part IMHO).
I made a gameplay video. It starts in around 1:20 min (no commentaries during the gameplay + the dubblages and texts are in english, just the video's intro is in portuguese).
