So, me (art/music) and my buddy (@ustance)(gamedesign/programming) are making game about strange diner and strange fridge in it, it will fit the theme somehow, for sure, we'll explain it later.

Can't let you people have all the fun.
Abandoned my first Compo idea, and had to be out most of saturday anyway, but then realised I could finally make a maths/puzzler idea I've wanted to do for ages. Will have to be Jam entry though. I didn't see too many other puzzlers(?).
Doesn't look much yet, but it will when I've added some sci-fi stuff  Game basically works - roll the 3 'dice' then use maths to claim a space on the grid - until you 'run out of space'. Prime numbers will score a bonus. AI code took a while, but brute-forced it (3 numbers x 4 maths operations = not that many checks).

Prime Planets?
Summing Out of Space?
BIDMAS Effect?
Despite many challenges, I managed to finish Geobreak.

I've decided to make a quick Demake/Update to the Rodger game from Computer Funfare, I hope you guys check it out! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/computer-funfare
My first Ludum Dare. I didn't give it the love (i.e. time, darn adulting!) I wanted to on this game, but so far I am pretty happy with the mechanics of it. If I had more time I would of course tweak the heck outta this.
The game: Shipping Fast!
You are working in a widgets factor and must ship widgets before they fill up the factory floor. You can grab widgets, stack them, and then jump on top to ship them. Your guy can ship same colored widgets, the more you ship at once you get a combo!

Overload is a very casual and fun game about collecting baggage at the airport! We completely enjoyed making it! ❤️❤️
Our very first #LDJAM attempt!!! We had a really GREAT time... ❤️ Check out our game and let us know your feedback...

Hope everyone has had an excellent weekend!
For us, it was full of the usual emotional ups-and-downs of game development, but we've managed to pull it off. It was definitely an interesting Jam compared to usual, as my creative partner and I decided to swap roles, with him doing the Art / Music, and me doing the programming.
We'd love for you to check it out. We look forward to playing everyone else's games in the coming week.

I've had to leave Outbreak to finish up: Tooltips, AudioManager, win/loss info pass, and building destruction... New jobs and all... Regardless of how much is left my roomie has absolutely destroyed the coding this Ludum and I cant give the dude enough high fives, myself I end up feeling pride in dancing through every piece of software I can get my hands on and getting to add to what he builds. So to all those programmers still jammin and pulling another late one on night 3, you da real MVP.

Thanks for another Ludum of challenge and reward @PoV, love every one I can do.
Our game is pretty finish and you will be able to test it in a few hours
I'm new here and it would be awesome if somebody told me how to publish a game.
I am completely new to Ludum Dare, and Game Jams in general. I have been aimlessly clicking links on this website for hours and I'm completely lost. How in the world does anyone submit games to this thing?!

God, I'm tired. I'm so happy I actually managed to make a game in such a short amount of time. XD I kinda went a little overboard and made everything including the font and the synth sounds from scratch. Anyway, I need sleep. This Ludum Dare was the first one where I had a (relatively) clear idea of what to do, and the scope wasn't too big either. So I guess I've learned something from my previous jams ;)

Ludum Dare 42 will be my second ludum dare ever, and this time, I'm in a team babyyyyyyy

During LD40, @togis made a stream of a few games who commented and rated his, and I thought it was a nice thing of him to do I’m going to do the same this time. Going to play and rate everyone who comments / rates my entry. If this sounds fair to you, make sure to leave a comment in my LD42 entry comment thread and I’ll get back to you in your game comments section with a recording of the stream. I’ll also post an update here when the stream is live.
My LD42 entry, REDSQUARE: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/red-square (Windows only, sorry)
The stream will happen around midnight tonight, UK time.

I'm gonna get into rating like crazy over the next few days or so, as I need sleep! But for all you lovely people where it's currently daytime or you've got free time and aren't in bed like I should be, could you spare a play and a review/comment? I'd really appreciate it! And: I'll reciprocate! :)
Have a great jam, everyone! :)

I always have the sound to do that I do not control at all.

I just finished my game for the Jam! This was the very first game jam I have ever done and it was tons of fun! I worked with my friend @SeanNewman22 and we created our game "Trial by Fire!" I hope you guys enjoy the game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/trial-by-fire

Finally a tweet in normal working hours :). Hectic weekend but worth it. Lots of lovely games can't wait to try them out. Best part is I get to view all the exotic code. Oh and this was my first time creating music, that is really difficult with lack of sleep.
Please try my game and suggest. The game starts slow but gets tricky once your score reaches 20. I didn't realise people are not going to wait that long. Oh well !! too late to change now.

HexaGlitcher is a top down shooter. The goal of the game is to score as many points as possible, therefore killing enemies. What’s the highest score you can reach? You can play my game online right now (maybe a bit laggy) or download it.

I've found and been told about several bugs in the 1.0 release, however, I've added a 2.0 release to the Gamejolt the fixes the bugs, check it out! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/computer-funfare

Like any good bibliophile, your bookshelf seems to fill up on its own. Mash titles together to create strange new books, books with titles so bad that you can finally bear to get rid of them.
play Bookbinding (Windows, OSX, Linux)
My second Ludum Dare compo, and my first "complete" project in Unity. It was a harrowing 48 hours, but in the end I'm much more confident in my abilities. And I have a very strange game on my hands. It popped into my head during hour three, while I was working out the details of a very dry puzzle game, and I immediately dropped the other thing and got to work. I have to say that it's not quite as fun as I thought it might be! Though anagrams can be entertaining -- thought provoking, even! -- it's hard to come up with good ones under time pressure. Not when a shoddier one will do. There's a lot I would change about this prototype... as you will learn if you play Bookbinding, time is cruel.

🎮 You are welcome to play & test my game Overflow Control

I'm ready to hear your opinions about it!
Time to reskin and make some GUI

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/the-killer-blue-tiles
I finally finished the main character... man this took me way too long. I made far too many mistakes. BUT NOW IT'S DONE.

I actually really like how it turned out :)
In my entry ShredderBoy you are an archivist who tries to handle a big load of documents without getting out of space
Well, that was exciting and fun -- if there's anything I've learned during Ludum Dare, it's that I need to have a framework in place BEFORE the compo starts... getting stuck half-way through, and having to port the code to a new framework can really screw you up... -- I probably spent about 75% of the time on framework bs instead of the game I wanted to make...
That's okay though, even if I didn't finish, I had a lot of fun working on procedural level generation stuff, and I'm pretty happy with that! :)
Good luck everyone, I look forward to playing your games. :)

Happy to have finally participated again after skipping a couple of years. So here we are with Super LD42. A space shooter inspired by Yar's Revenge, Breakout and Space Invaders with a dash of DoDonPachi. As usual for Compo games, balance is off and you can only play the first level... but still, particle effects make up for that. Right?
Theme: Your mission is to free that yellow diamond and help it escape from the extremely generic space baddies that try to attach to it.
Hope you enjoy!

its about sorting out the good and bad thoughts to free up more space in the brain

After a good amount of sleep i woke up and started to make the last couple of levels The biggest thing im worried about is the boss fight Making levels is easy but boss is hard And i never made a boss fight befor I know what to do but im worried There is only three things left Creadit screen Boss fight One level befor boss fight Boy thats a lot of work Good luck🍀

This is it boys and girls, my entry for the Ludum Dare 42, WE SHIP, short game, I promise you'll be done with it in 5 minutes... or will you have to play a million times to beat it?? nope I think 5 minutes, just give it a try and tell me what you think, I will add more stages and make it better in the future but for now I have to sleep and work, gotta pay the bills. We're in the final stretch folks, hang tight!
Ouff, submitted our game on time! Super exhausted and heading to bed now!
Take a look at our puzzle game Mindblocked if it looks like your cup of tea!
Ggs, everyone! Going to start playing all these other amazing looking games tomorrow!

Hey, boxey, will I publish a game today?

...still I'll do my best.
Congrats to all the compo participants, btw! Can't wait to play your games!
So, I got a headache. It hurts and I think I will cut my works.
Finished this ugly title screen and an instruction page.

I think I will not make the music and opt-out the sound rating and just finish my game like this. My head really hurts.
Everyone, stay healthy! Don't forget to take a break.
Don't be like me.
This is my third ludum dare and the second ludum dare for our team, last time we had a way to big scope and at the end everything was a horrible mess, this time we feel like our planning helped. The team has performed really well and we have been working about 14 hours a day. This has been a blast.
The end of level 1, probably need to fix the skybox...
Jumpers!!!
Now i have to get back to work, can't wait to see what you all have done!!!

3 Fun days are over ^^ and i will now sit down in a corner and cry :bed:
But no
This is how it looks and i hope you guys will take the time to try it out ^^
Hi jammers!
Running out of space? Theme of my game was more like Running out of scope and running out of time (which is kind of recurring theme for every LD). But it's done! And it works, it's procedurally generated and it has "AI"!
* Try Cartoon Tactics *, you can play it in browser.

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/cartoon-tactics
This is my third Ludum, and my first programming alone. I'm making a little 2.5D runner for PC and Android (and probably VR with cardboard).
Earth's atmosphere is increasingly saturated by space junk, so now it is very difficult to launch satellites successfully. Help SpoceX guiding their new rocket into outer space.

couldn't work on my game tommorow, have a long day of work... soooooo I Pulled a long night and got it done! Anyways I hope I caught all the bugs and didn't forget anything out in my game, you can miss things easily when deprived of sleep. I feel like I did pretty good for my first time participating in LudumDare, hope you guys enjoy it! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/critterrun
Hello!
I just wanted to say: Game is ready!! :) Please enjoy a little twist in jam theme!! :)) I wanted to create it as cheesy as possible! :) So: enjoy!
entry: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/give-me-some-space-space

I spent the better part of tonight hooking up a speed eating versus mode (in addition to single player), and polished up as much as i could. Gonna throw this on itch.io in a minute and call it a wrap 8)

Hi, this is my secound Ludum Dare. I've been working with the same team as last time and I can't wait to see the final results. Right now I'm working on the new Cleaning Robot, here is a pic;
This is it, the last 11 hours of work before the game needs to be done. Are we close? No. Have we overextended our scope? Probably. Do I think we'll finish in time? Absolutely. Being in a group where the ambition is high, and the level of procrastination is even higher, this is the only way to go about it.
Progress has been made, however. We've been at work for almost three hours, and stuff has started to appear in the game. Background music has been made, and there's other sounds being recorded as I write this, which, with a little editing will make it into the game as well.

The characters are on their way as well. As you can see in pictures above they are right now represented by emojis.
Last stretch now guys!
Working hard on a game with such a time limit is very stressful. So, I made a relaxing menu, where you can pop bubbles. Do you like the idea?
BTW, work on InGame UI continues...!
I noticed that the ludum dare site sometimes has these weird bugs... anyone know why? The cursor for typing seems to have a mind of its own.

This was my first LD, and my product was 35 seconds to arrival. Rate it! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/35-seconds-to-arrival

Hi everyone! Here is my entry for the Jam, this is my second (Almost) Solo entry as a 3d Artist learning to do some code in the free time, i'm quite satisfied with the result, the game is very simple but still has more coding than the previous one, good job and have fun everyone!
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/warehouse-madness

I tried fixing some bugs and I broke my game LOOOL.
Now the weekend has come to a close, we are proud to reveal Ice Blocked.
This Horde-Style Top Down Brawler is our 2nd LD submission but with a larger team this time around.

This is my first game jam, so I didn't know what to expect of the quality of games. But I am very impressed with a lot of these. Well done everyone.
So, my game is mainly finished (missing sound effects/music and some quality of life stuff), but while play testing I reckon that it was too difficult! Well, at least for me, someone who is terrible with manual things, sooo just need to see if I can ease thing a little bit. Meanwhile, meal time! Today's special, cheese sausage tofu ramyon!

Welcome ! Claustrophobia (Ludum Dare 42 Theme: Running out of space) is built in plain HTML5/JavaScript with a framework I am developping. This was my first Game Jam, so I hope you'll like this game. Thank you for your support.
Finished my first game for the Jam :D I'm so happy.
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/downfall-1
I got my game finished even before the compo ended, but since I didn't made the sounds my self, I have to publish it for the Jam. Here it is:

last day of the jam and we been working like crazy to have enough 3d models to fill out the space of the game. this is one of the latest ones we made.

Well not 24 hours, but it's dawn where i live atleast
My game is about fighting back an alien invasion. where you have to stay inside your shield area or you will take damage, the area shrinks slowly, so you have to defeat as many enemies as possible while keeping your shield up.
And i will try to use the last 10 hours effectively

the crunch is begin
I need some game ideas.
Engine: Unity.
