LD 39 July 28–31, 2017

Bounder Games is in!

LudumDare2.png

Looks like for the first time I'll be able to join the Jam instead of the Compo, now that I'm full time indie dev! I'll be jamming with my other half and partner in our indie team, Bounder Games.

We'll be using: - «Game Engine» Unity C# - «Version Control» Git, via SourceTree & Github: https://github.com/Jiyambi/LD39 - «Base Code» The Bounder Framework - «Graphics» Inkscape, Blender, GIMP - «Music» Bosca Ceoil - «SFX» Bfxr, Audacity

All those tools are free and open source so if you're looking for something to use, check them out! <3

We'll also be streaming on our twitch channel and live tweeting on @Jiyambi and @BounderGames. Connect, join us and hang out! We love meeting new people!

I'm in for the third time!

This will be the third time I participate in LD. Hopefully I'll finish in time to submit to the compo this time. I'll be using Unity and Photoshop. Sounds are definitely not my strength, but I'll see what I can figure out using bfxr, Audacity, and just recording things with a microphone. If I decide to make a 3d game, I'll use Blender. Good luck everyone!

Ummm, where's my game? (fixed)

Looking back at my previous entry, only the comments show up. No game. What's up?

Can't wait to get started on my first Ludum Dare

I hope I'm ready for this time

This is will be my fourth Ludum Dare. First time, it was LD36. But every next LD I feel that my game became worse and worse. It just looks like I lost some motivation for every LD that I'm in. I just hope, for this time I will make a good one and get my motivation back...

I'm in like Donkey Kong...wait, what

I'm in again. I have to say, that the theme suggestions are better than ever. We've got better butchers at the slaughtering round. <3

Joining!

I've been having scope and completion issues, so what I hope to accomplish this jam is only these two things:

  • Acknowledge the time restriction, and account for it in design
  • FINISH THE DAMN GAME(, CJ)

I'll be using Love2D with the yaoui and boipushy libraries from https://github.com/SSYGEA?tab=repositories

Best of luck to all involved!

Edit: Also, I'll be using Paint.NET and Reason 7 for asset creation.

The monkey is in

Been a long time, but i'm back and ready to have some fun!

Count me in!

I'll be here, and I'll be watching you while you sleep... I mean I'm going to participate on the upcoming LD. I'll use the awesome Love2D engine, the gorgeous GIMP for graphics, and the fabulous LMMS for musics and sounds. Wish me good luck, I wish good luck for all of you! :)

Am I In?

I've been thinking wether or not I'll be able to develop a game right now, but I guess the only way to be certain is to try.
I'll be doing my n'th Ludum Dare right now. Like, 8th I think. Or maybe 9th.
My poison of choice is LÖVE2D coupled with my awesome framework built on top of it, the lib4. This LD will be different for me, as I recently started sleeping polyphasically. It means I can sleep a total of 4 hours a day and still feel well by sleeping 3 hours in the night and getting strategic naps during the daytime. Here's my E3 schedule.

My tools of choice haven't changed much, but there are some additions. - LÖVE - Vim - GIMP/Krita/Inkscape - BFXR/Audacity - i3

Like last time, I will be streaming on for the entirety of Ludum Dare.

I'm in like edgy floral prints

Probably using - Flash / Adobe Animate maybe HaXe - BFXR - Audacity - Maybe LMMS

Thinking of doing something narrative again. Hoping Round 3 themes are better than Round 2 ones. Getting exciiiiited! Have fun everyone.

I AM IN!!!

Second time! Let's do this.

A Composer’s First Game Jam (Looking for a team!)!

Hi there, everyone!

My name is John, I’m a composer and guitarist in New Jersey.  This will be my first time embarking into Ludum Dare and a game jam in general!  I’ve seen so many awesome games and content and I’d love to be part of an awesome team this time around!  I love collaborating with creative, exciting groups and can’t wait to see what comes around here!

I compose music and sound design in a variety of styles, some of my influences are Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Gustavo Santollala (The Last Of Us) and Nobuo Uematsu.  I invite you to check out some of my past work here on my reel. https://soundcloud.com/johnkiernanmusic/sets/john-kiernan-demo-reel

I hope all is well with each and every one of you and I hope to speak soon!

-John

Six strike. (ld38: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.StarAge.SkyRoad)

Every game is like a child. I kind of like the father of my clumsy kids. Time to make one more game. I'm just curious how far I can go in his hobby: make game just for fun.

my rules: Android. Portrait orientation. No violence.

my soft: Unity 2017. VS+R#. Paint.net. Audacity. GiHub+Googledoc.

I hope you find a good idea and create a great game this weekend!
