This is going to be my first time creating a game for the Ludum Dare so I’m gonna hope for the best. I’ll be writing my own engine for this so we’ll see how this goes.
The stuff I’ll be using:
• Paint.net
• Audacity
• Java ( maybe processing IDE)
• GitHub
• maybe some library’s
Best of luck to you all.

As usual, we'll be responsible for conducting the Tech Valley Game Space real-world meeting this upcoming Ludum Dare. The opening day will be start at 8 PM EST, while the rest of the days, our venue will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM. You can sign up at our Meetup at: meetup.com/TechValleyGameSpace/events/259795159
After the Ludum Dare weekend, we plan on live-streaming ourselves playing Ludum Dare games for two Sundays. Come check us out at twitch.tv/techvalleygamespace! Missed the live-stream? We also post them at youtube.com/c/techvalleygamespace.
It appears that like the last Ludum Dare, yet another local games showcase will be stealing a day from my schedule. Last time, we ended up making a Ren'py visual novel since it's much quicker and easier to prototype, so I'll probably make a similar approach this jam, but if anyone is interested what we normally would use if we had the full 72-hours is Unity and the base project we've open sourced: bitbucket.org/OmiyaGames/template-unity-project
Documentation is, I admit, lacking; but if anyone is interested in taking a look, the project implements some really cool tools:
READY!
So my family planned a vacation on Friday, the day of the jam. Going to try to do my best with my limited time.
Oh the choices... I guess let's see what the theme is, and maybe I'll plan a game while playing magic. If I have a fun idea, I might skip the other prereleases? Hmm...
This will be my second LD!
This will be my first time participating in LD.
It's been a while since I've done one of these, I think the last one I did was the ancient technology theme. For the past couple jams they would fall during finals week or something would come up that weekend. But this time I don't have anything this weekend!
Here's what I'll be using: Engine: Unity C# Art: Photoshop Music: The sounds of me crying (I would use Audacity if I can get to it)
I plan on trying to do a live stream, I don't know if I'll get to do the whole time, but I hope for a good chunk of it. Here's my twitch link if anyone wants to drop by: https://www.twitch.tv/snowcactus_ I hope to also stream me playing your games when it's judging time.
Good luck all!
We'll see how this goes.
First teamwork!
In for my second Ludum Dare. This time, my wife will join me, drawing the art. We hope to put out a good effort!
Just need some help here. I've followed the team member and he also followed me. What to do next to create and join a team? Thanks for any help!
This is the first time I m joining this great event. I hope that I will create something. I will be using GDevelop game engine, Jfxr, Piskel, Audacity and GIMP (probably).
And good luck to all.
This'll be my first time participating.
I'm planning to use: Engine - Godot, Art - GraphicsGale and Clip Studio
Here's hoping my weekend stays free so I can participate!
Been in quite a few Ludum Dare's now (even spanning back to the old site). Will be joining again this weekend hopefully! Still happy to see the countdown clock I made is up and running on the site still!
Goodluck everyone, have a lovely weekend!
