Time to do cinematics!

First pic I share from my game, where you go to hell kickin' some ass!

First pic I share from my game, where you go to hell kickin' some ass!

My game is a puzzle-platformer where the player can sacrifice his/her limbs to double and triple jump.

A game which, well, relies heavily on real time reflexes, precision and, (you guessed it) text input. For short games I normally follow a strategy which helps not finish at the last minute, because this really hurts
1) Solve an interesting problem - being a coder that's often a technical thing 2) Bolt game rules on top. Anything that works 3) Put in some effort to make it look nice [I AM HERE] 4) Release 5) If any time left, and I'm not out of steam, improve and re-release.
On the coding stretch I felt that I was under-using my framework. Even with Photon, making a game in a few hours is still a challenge and I'm worried about stability. Not expecting to get this 100% right. Anyway. I'd like to add more mechanics and get closer to the jam theme but no promises.

I suddenly remembered I had a name for this game but for now, Br2112, not telling.
I don’t want to spoil the main feature, but everything is going to be much more interesting than it seems. Follow our project to see what we will do

Shouting "I just wasted an entire hour on JUNK SPARKLES!!" in frustration probably far too loud.
Oh, LD. You are some kinda special.
I used this character that i created few months ago as I would like to make my own character on that moment. So I did!
As sharing, I used a software called Vroid Studio to create this character. Any interest about the software you can check more at here(https://studio.vroid.com/).
By the way, I have done my game.
Try it now here (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/ez-game)

Do I win something? No? ok..

I made my own home, and the function of sleeping. Continue to make it tomorrow!
Well the game is progressing, still a lot to do. Here is basic gameplay. Now im going to work on models!
https://youtu.be/ve0HbsYc2IY
I'm really slow (and bad) in pixel art. :( Procedural generation of level (perlin noise), and drawing tiles has taken too many hours. All of today really :)

Got the upgrade menu mostly done:

Also added some sounds for the shooting, made the art for the enemies (as seen earlier), and got some more of the background coding done.
Still to be done: - Finish creating the menus - Add more sounds, and hopefully music too - Implement wave system - Create a better background? - Many other small things that I can't be bothered listing :p
Yeah, I've still got a lot to do, but I have got a definite design now, so at least I won't need to spend any more time working that out...
Anyway, see ya all tomorrow!
The first ending is currently in the making.

Random Ambience - Soundcloud Link
Pretty satisfied. I layered several layers of random notes on a scale together, and it works pretty well!
This is one of the splash arts from my game! :)

Use your flesh for fight, buy new attacks and kill all humans! Lets go
dontKillME.gif Please don't kill me! D:
I lost the vision of my previous project, and just couldn't see myself making it into an actually good game in time, so I switched to one of the other concepts I had in mind originally.
I am staying with the slavery theme, but it will be a quick puzzle game about building pyramids. I have the whole game clearly in my head. Now, just need to zone out and code without any speedbumbs for the next 9 hours straight. See you then!
Small but perfectly formed (well, fully playable and winnable), my Compo entry is complete:

I think I'm gonna finish it there. It's pretty late now and I need to get some sleep!

is there anything against using analytics on our jam game? this is my first jam and I would like gather some feedback for future jams
just want to be sure it's not something disliked by the community
thanks

I am creating a space travel/management game. You have to reach your home planet. But your fuel is limited and the parts of your ship are the only thing you can use to buy new fuel. But selling ship parts makes you weaker. And your life depends on a strong ship ;-) You can travel to planets, they have shops, battles, or random events. I have to work on the balancing right now, so that its not totally easy as it is at the moment.
The game is as finished as I'm going to get it. It ain't purdee, but there's a mechanic (just the one) in there!

I'm asking this because I was wondering if I should include russian voice acting.
Cool story via comics.
Splats everywhere, use ink to earn more, but beware of full exhaustion.
Die more to reduce the prices!

Gonna call it Tunnel Bug, since I made the ship you control look like a ladybug if you squint a bit. Need to add sound so I'm gonna focus on audio after dinner and then get back to finalizing everything before 2AM.

A game where you are wizard and a guard of your tower. Monsters are coming be sharp 10 hp will cause to attack monster with its deservable key on keyboard else 15 hp will be lose. After you reach your kill counter to multiple of 10 like 20,30,40 your health bar will be reset to 100.And some monsters also yields medical kit for you For health recovery. So kill monster wisely and according to your health. If monster will reached to your tower they also also sarifies them self and attack you.
My first ludum dare entry. https://ibnelaiq.itch.io/sacrifies-life-to-save
We are developing a type of horde survival game set in a fantasy universe, where the player must hire and heal his companions to survive against waves of ruthless opponents. They must manage their "life force" throughout the game and can win by exchanging some of their maximum life for permanent boosts to their soldiers (e.g. Warrior, Archer, Mage and Rogue class options), can gain some life back after a successful stage or take risks to travel to the ends of the "gladiator-like arena" to collect health power-ups. There are a variety of enemy types which have specific behaviours (much like how each soldier class type does) and may be stronger or weaker against certain damage types. The game will combine skill, tactics, preparation and careful health resource management to win, while teaching important "life" lessons (such as teamwork and a balanced composition are necessary for success in life) :)

Time hunts us down!

Good lucky guys!
Phew, it's been a fair effort but I've made my entry for this Ludum Dare! Sadly, however, I won't be able to play other people's Ludum Dare entries much as tomorrow I have to go back to thesis writing (this has been a very welcome distraction).
This has been a great opportunity for me to check my understanding of some important things - in particular this is the first project I've made using OpenGL which doesn't link with a loader/wrangler library but just loads its own functions. It's very satisfying to have removed another dependency from my project creation method! On that note, I had a little more time than I first anticipated and I added sound - and SDL_mixer has, as expected, added many dependencies which I will aim to get rid of in future. Writing my own sound mixer is a definite todo on my list now...
I hope you've all had fun - and I'd be very grateful to anyone who'll play/rate what I've done (especially as it's unlikely I'll have time to return the favour!)

Checkout the animation and see progress on my twitter!

Here's a screenshot of my game, which is a game about making a game lol. Pixel illustration is a placeholder for now.
You have 48 hours to make a game, every time allotment you make has an effort and opportunity cost. Finish a game in 48 hours while keeping your health up! Failure to do so could cost you your place in the competition and even your life!
You can assign time into Game or Life responsibilities, doing so will cause a tug of war between your health and the game development progress. Skew towards one end or the other though, and well, you'll lose in more ways than one.
Current win statement: "Congrats! You made a game in 48hours! Well done! Current lose statement (there are 2): 1- You lose! Maybe next time you can finish a game on time! 2- Well damn, you actually worked yourself to death!
Still a few things left to do, but I'm hoping to have it done in time for the compo deadline! Fingers crossed!

The little food shop is done. You can buy hotdogs, coffee, or water to feed the postman.

Rewrote the interaction and movement system because why not, I only have 8 hours to code everything else now :P

If you like it, follow me on on Twitch, I'm live right now :)
8 hours remain and I am finally done with this, pogchamp

There are only 8 hrs left and I finally have something interactive. It doesn't look like much right now, but it probably will be something good soon.
Current abilities:
Move around.
Interact with things.

Satanislas is a game mabe in 48h during the Ludum Dare 44. Its a die and retry plateformer which you can spend lives to have upgrades and restore lives by adding handicaps :)
Enjoy :id:

Today is being a good day! Now, things are looking more like a game, but there's still a lot of things to do.
I finished my game. Its a 2d shooter but I dont know whats the source code. can anybody help me?
Or, translated to Mosquito: [Bzzz bzzzzzzz bzzzzzzzzz bz bzzzzzzzz bzzz!]

Hi there! This is my first entry at Ludum Dare. I know, it looks like poo but I'm having a blast! Good luck everyone!

starting on the ui, should be finished soon. Got some level generation down, but I'll save that for you guys to see later. anyway heres my morning snapshot

Our game maps (procedurally generated at runtime!) are now populated with Cities and Characters!
How will you manipulate them to grow your Power and become the sovereign god of the land?
Artist is really proud :D

Working title "Coinbooth"
This time it was tough.
I din't really managed well the scope, but in the end something came out :)
Next time I will have to be careful in trying to do something smaller and better polished.

For a few different reasons, I won't be able to continue with LD44. Best of luck to everyone still working on games! I look forward to playing them.
I have decided that now is a good time to stop making changes to my game and focus on making sure it is packaged up properly for submission. A name would also be good!

Making me get off my train...

Still got so much to do with so little time :(
Hi everybody i have finished my game. You can play here:https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/$145299

https://twitter.com/AntVelm

(move!move!i was tortured by the network speed)
I finish my frist game!
(my school use cut the power at night, this means 11 minute left!)

(lastnight,i just pressed the blog push button, and i run out the power, how close!)

You'll be... fine.
Finally getting the mood right on this Sunday afternoon. Keep jamming y'all!
Jodi-- Artist, Gif maker, Actually the Dunwich Horror
First enemy =3
P.S. hate long configs...

Characters made and animated. Just putting it into Unity!

Our first gif :v:

Functionality is done! To be honest I'm pretty satisfied with the result, especially since this is my first game project I'm doing from scratch. Hopefully will be able to integrate sfxs in time.

All the mechanics are ready, now we just need to update or levels and enemy pools and work on the UI and HUD!
These were two tense and stressful days...And I loved every minute of it! It was so much fun, and I most definitely plan on doing it again.

got items and all in place, fixed lots of glitching. the first few fights (out of 8) feel pretty fun.
now for some lunch.
Everything seems fine, I hope I'll make two more levels and intro on time!

Man it was hard. :sleepy: I wanted to take part in azure bootcamp AND ludum dare. But finally I did it!

I submit - no more energy for now!
Hi here we are! We've done something interesting to our game now, that is the basic UI and two more figures that presents the main character's death and life-gaining. Get some food and keep going on!
![NemB2NF01H577XLHI/em]%LXQO.gif](http:///raw/1c2/c1/z/20f44.gif)
Putting a lot of love into the scenery. :)

left One day and 7 hours.

One Days and 07 hours Left
Can you survival this time?
After a slight change in direction and a level rebuild it is still buggy as hell and I'm okay with that
This game is about getting yourself hurt and getting some of that insurance money!
I'm using an assets pack from the Unity Asset Store so not taking credit for that ;)

It's cheap. It only costs Y̸̢̢͇̘̬̥̹̤̩̗̻̝̟̬̋̌̈́̀̋̀͗̑͐̀̀̓́͝O̵̧̢̘̯͖̯̰̯͎͊̅̓̉̾̈́̂͐̏̀̾ͅU̶̞̞̗̥̪͋̀͒̒͊̿̃͆̾̆͘Ṟ̴̞̳͇̈́̔̄̃̑̈́̒̆̔̑̚͘ ̷̩̤̲̣͓̞̖̫̘͈̻̗̺͇͊̾͂̾S̶̲͎͔̩̰͌̽́̆̽̏̉̃͒̿͗̚Ó̸̧̧̬̳̼̲̠͓̬̼̙͇̫͖Ų̴̨̹̲̮̦̲̣̙̟͍̈͋̚ͅĻ̸̡̣̦͉͍͓̞̗̙̘̟̖̃̓̈́́́̍̕

Breaking News! Devs under the effect of much coffee creates game about a political bastard.

I've always wanted to make a tower defense, and i finally did it!
It was an awesome jam. Pretty Happy i'm done! Good luck everyone still working, I need some rest now!

https://raphaelquem.itch.io/blood-tied https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/blood-tied-td
I'm in a bit of a pickle time-wise, so I'll be submitting to the jam. Still have music-loop, menu, credits, tutorial and other stuff to do.
I just finished my game ! It is about killing your character to gain more money, allowing you to buy more items to find new ways to kill yourself ! :D If you want to try it, here is the link : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/immortals-game

Main menu:

The game itself:

Roughly, the game is about a ghost stealing life from tombs.

It sure took me a while, but I'd say it was worth it. You can buy upgrades and convert Heart SHards you find during mining into full hearts. Only thing that's missing is a way to actually win the game... and maybe some more obstacles so it's not too boring

:) Not participating in the compo but will jam until the end!
The concept is about a grim reaper who desperately needs life to pay down his mortgage

Environmental game design does not spark joy in me.
Nearly done placing all these assets though!

Tilemap completely gone insane. Rollback to previous commits doesn't work at all. I don't think I can finish it this time.

I'm creating a new Unity project to import everything from scratch. Fingers crossed.
Don't worry about it.
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT!
