Ludum Dare 37 December 9–12, 2016

I’m in for LD37!

Aren’t we supposed to make these?

Anyway, every keystroke here is one I’m not spending trying to fix my audio code, so, you can check out the code I’m going to use at https://github.com/WilliamBundy/ld37

Tools: vim, cl/gcc, Windows Batch, git, aseprite, famitracker, bfxr, visual studio, audacity, and anything else I end up using.

I’ll be streaming my development Saturday and Sunday on my twitch, too! twitch.tv/williambundy

Maybe I should mention that my new username is william-bundy on ldjam.com? Not sure how those’ll be linked, since I didn’t use my old one.

1st-Timer Here

Sorry if I messed something up.

I study Game Development, thought this might be a nice test of skill. Gonna take it easy tho and post if I manage to do something interesting.

Gonna be working on Unity, Blender, Photoshop and some Asesprite, maybe Corcotile3d. Dunno if it’s gonna be 3d or 2d yet. Not sure how much I’ll adhere to the theme as well.

okay, ruminated on the idea overnight, gunna be a game depicting Joseph Beuys’ famous I Like America and America Likes Me piece. You control Beuys, pick up and use various items in the gallery on the coyote. End goal is to hug the coyote.

I’m in!

My third Ludum Dare!

Engine: Gamemaker

Graphic: paint

Have fun!

My last projects: http://gamejolt.com/@ArmezDon/games

Let’s do this!

I haven’t participated in the Ludum Dare in a long time, but I’m really excited to be a part of it again!

Depending on the theme, I’m hoping to create a game for the Arduboy handheld game system (With a PC port too, of course!)

My tools will be:

  • Paint.NET (Free)
  • aseprite ($14.99)
  • mspaint (Included with Windows)

Good luck everybody!

Really excited to get in on my first Ludum Dare. Setting myself a goal of mediocre playable game.

Using: Unity, Blender, GIMP, Audacity

Joining LD 37

Way too close to the start but here is what I’ll be using.

chrome – debugging and running the javascript game

200 ok – the web server

notepad++ – the editor, would use atom but it keeps on freezing for some reason

inkscape and paint.net – graphics, inkscape for gui and paint.net for actual graphics

musescore, audacity, chiptone or physical instruments– music and sounds

phaser – the game library

canvg – svg gui

javascript-state-machine – might be useful

basejs – error handling, asset loading, modules and a loading screen

pencil and paper – planning and time management

some base code – will become useful for a basis of my code

also, my code will be hosted at https://github.com/aucguy/Ludum-Dare-37 and the final game will (probably) be hosted at https://aucguy.github.io/projects/LD37/view.html.
