That is all i got so far …
Well… this is all for today…

Behold!
Put the kids to bed
Blank stare at screen and eat snacks
Room with obstacles

Hopefully sleep will bring more ideas (and less haiku)
Wanted to be legit for the compo so here’s my stream. Watch it if you want or don’t if you don’t.
Hello there! This is my first Game Jam, going solo with Game Maker: Studio! Not sure how well I’ll do, especially with the theme being One Room… a myriad of things comes to mind, but which is the best one?
Does anyone know how to include image to post? Can’t figure it out(
I’ve spent the last two hours drinking hot cocoa+milk and brainstorming my thoughts about “One Room” out on three pages of paper and I think I’ve got enough now to safely go for my first sleep of the weekend.
Without going into too much detail at this stage, my concept revolves around the idea that the player exists in a single room, which is literally the entire the universe of the game. I have some plans for late-game interaction with other players in different rooms (or universes, if you like), and don’t worry, it’s all consensual so no worries about other players wrecking anything in your universe.
Now it’s time to sleep and tomorrow I’ll start writing some code. Also, have this music for now

I’ve decided to start making something, I might drop out before I’m done though.
The idea is to have a MTG / yugioh esque card game, but the battles take place in an undertale-style arena-box-thing with the attacking player controlling the player and the attack patterns determined by the type of monster that was attacked. This arena would be the “one room”. Or maybe the room the card game is taking place in, it’s a tentative link either way. I’ve got a deck builder finished at least.
While we might lose one of our two programmers for most of the first day, we’re looking to achieve something in the 72 hour jam.
Tools:
Let’s see how this goes!
Best of luck to everyone.
Good luck everybody, and remember this is not a competition(it is, but it’s better not to think that way), have fun! I enjoy being part of such lovely community)
Tools:
-Unity
-PyxelEdit
-Garageband
5 AM here. It’s my fist LD, first gamejam at all but I’ll try my best. Gool luck, guys!
Oh yeah – unity3d dev
I have been wanting to do LD for a while now, but I never felt my skills were good enough. This time I think it will be good, so I will make the best damn game with one room there is (disclaimer: This statement was made before any ideas or code went down)

Just woke up got some ideas and i am ready to go!
This will be my second jam, and i am hoping for better results this time
My idea for the game will be connected to space, but it should go very well with the theme. My only concern is that i might be making something too complicated for my skill level.
Wish me luck!
I will be using mainly gamemaker and maybe some other tools for graphics and sound.
I will also be streaming, but don’t expect anything too fancy, just a chill stream with some calm music for morning programming.

Finally i wish everyone good luck and good time!
This won’t be my first game Jam but it will be my first go at Ludum Dare.
I will be using RPG Maker VX ACE along with various sprite packs I have purchased the rights to.
I have a rough idea of what I’m going to but that may change with the theme.
Here’s hoping I make something at least half way playable.
This’ll be my first Ludum Dare, and I hope it turns out well…
Programs I’ll be using:
GameMaker or Unity (I’m gonna flip a coin)
Paint.NET
Audacity
GLHF Everyone!
this will be my first LD ill be using unity(js), blender, and probably Photoshop and maybe other programs as needed. like i said this is my first time doing this so i hope im doing it right (do i just submit it when I finish the game or what?)
First time in ludum dare, i’m just a beginner doing it just for fun
This is my first Ludum dare and it was suggested that I make a post like this.
I will be using:
-Gamemaker Studio 1.4
-Gimp, for graphics
-Audacity probably.
Excited to see what comes from all your lovely brilliant minds.
