I’m in!
Probably gonna use Flash. I’ve got a some of my own libraries/utils/engines that I may use as well, it all depends on the theme.

My second LD, I have no idea what I’m gonna make the game in…
But here are some certain things:
Visuals: Some art program with my trusty http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=16529
Music: Probably Sibelius… (Might throw something in with my sax :3)
Escape from programming: WoW, Guild Wars or Kingdom Of Loathing/TF 2

I did the compo once before (19), but this time I think I’ll stick with the jam. Or the peanut butter.
Hopefully can get together with a friend to make this happen! Looking forward to it!
BTW, I’m using:
-Gimp
-C++
-sfxr (cfxr actually)
…and I think that’s it!
Not sure if I’ll be able to create something fun to play, but I know I’ll have fun programming it !

Flixel/My own libraries
I don’t know if I’ll have much free time during the weekend but I will try to make my first LD entry
this is my first LD!
hope everything goes well
I’m in! As usual, I’ll be using Flash Pro to develop, this time with CS5.5. I’ll likely be using custom code, with my own sfx/audio libraries for sound and music, or maybe sfxras3. Graphics’ll be in Flash, Photoshop CS5.1, or MS Paint. Any other resources I use, I’ll post of during development/in a post-mortem.
As I leave to vote, I leave you with this.

Ludum Dare 22 party on Peaks Island, Maine!
Johnicholas got us into it, joined by Dmitri and Adam, and possibly Sarah.
So.. I’m in! Using.. something or other. Ruby/gosu or something web-based.
There, 2 posts in one.
Notch participating gave me an urge to try this. Next week-end, I’m in. Will need foods. Lots.
I’ll be using Game Maker 8.1. I know, it’s bad. But it’s the easiest from idea to game. Perfect for LD48.
I’m going to try out Unity this year. I have no experience doing any kind of 3d modeling but I’ve got access to Maya at school, and I’ve never used Unity before but I see people suggesting it everywhere for newbies, so I’m going to give it a whirl. What’s the worst that could happen?
Really I’m just here to play all of YOUR awesome games though. 😉
First try! Will do my best!
Flash
Flashdevelop
Flixel

Hi!
This is my first LD48, I will try to have fun. This is my setup:
Programing: GCC + SciTE
Graphics: GIMP
Sound: Audacity + sfxr

Hi, this will be the second time I’ve participated in Ludum Dare. My last project was a 2D platformer in pygame that was never finished. I have significant doubts that this attempt will be more successful. Firstly, it’s occurring in the middle of finals, and I may be forced to give up so that I can pass my classes. Secondly, I will be using clojure, a language that I am less experienced in than python (I have a lot of experience in common lisp, so I’m not completely new to it.)
On the other hand, I learned a lot from my first attempt about what is and is not a viable idea for a 48-hour game jam, as well as general good practices for actually completing a game in such a short time frame. So maybe I’ll be able to make something pretty cool after all. My main goal with this jam is to experiment with the capabilities of clojure for game development. Here’s what I’ll be using:
Well that’s all. Good luck to everyone else who is participating.
This will be my 8th LD competition, and I’m looking forward to it as always.
Current thoughts on this compo: Depending on the theme, I’m thinking of trying to use simple shapes where possible and keeping any modeling I do in Blender as simple as I can. This I hope should give me more time to work more on actual gameplay and non-graphic content.
Tools:
Engine: Unity3d
Audio: Audacity
Graphics: Paint .NET and The GIMP
Screen Capture: Chronolapse
3d Modeling: Blender
It’s done!
I managed to finish everything I said I would add (except for music), so I feel pretty good about calling this complete.
Apparently I can’t submit it though, presumably because I already submitted a warmup. Is it one entry per account? I thought Ludum Dare allowed you to enter as many games as you’d like.
Oh well, here is the link to the final version anyway.

First time LD for me! I’m intrigued to see if i’m able to pull anything playable and fun off within those 48 hours. But i’m confident and motivated.
I’m usually suffering from the typical indie game developers curse to come up with too large ideas and then getting entangled in long term development. LD might be a cure for that. A chance to get over my perfectionism and create something short, simple and fun.
My tools and libraries of choice will be XNA, C#, Photoshop, Audacity, SFXR, maybe Paul’s Extreme Sound Stretch and Farseer Physics if physics are involved.
I present to you…
My warmup game for Ludum Dare #22.
I had to drop some of my to-do list, but it’s a finished, working game. Whee!
Update: Fixed a few bugs. You can now play (and beat) level 6.
Greetings! I will be entering the Ludum Dare this time for the third time, and three might just be a lucky number. Good vibes all around. Also, I promise to add sound/music to my entry this time (the previous two were dead silent: not cool).
Tools I shall use:
Code: C++
Libraries: SFML 1.6
Graphics: GIMP
Sound: sfxr, Audacity, PXTone
Timelapse: Chronolapse
It’s nice to see posts from a lot of first-time participants! I look forward to seeing some very good entries. The Ludum Dare has twice been a completely awesome experience for me, and it’s always fun to make games alongside [figuratively] so many wonderful people. Best wishes to all competitors!
