LD22 December 16–19, 2011

I’m in!

I’m also in!

I’ll be using XNA… I thought about doing something with Java and Slick2D first. But I’m not yet comfortable enough in that to finish a game in 48h so I’ll stick with XNA.

Soooo….

Code:

  • C#
Sounds:
  • sfxr
  • Music with real instruments!
Art:
  • paint.net
  • inkscape
Good luck everyone and have fun! EDIT: And here’s the obligatory link to the library I’m using. Nothing fancy, just some helper stuff for math and audio. Found on github -> https://github.com/Th3dz/Ludum-Dare-48

I’m in! Or not… Maybe?

Everyone’s got to start somewhere. Aw heck, I’m going to regret this.

If you don’t see a game from me in a couple of days assume I’ve died from frustration.

EDIT:

Tools:

Code: FlashDevelop with Flixel or Flashpunk.

Art: GIMP ^_^

Sound: BFXR

Music (if time): PXTone

Term just ended so I’ll probably have a lot of time, but I doubt I’ll be able to spend as much time on it as some…

French fag incoming!

I’m in and that’s all!

My game:

XNA + paint + my mouth => \o/

Plan: Finish.

I’m in. The entirety of the plan is: Write game, and FINISH PROJECT BEFORE END OF DEADLINE.

Tools:
Server side: emacs/jed; python; some fastcgi implementation that I worry about later.
Client side: multiple browsers (modern) and I don’t care if IE doesn’t work. _Period._ Jquery. Debug tools.
Code side: Textmate; ipython; git.
Mindmap/brainstorm side: android tablet awesome notes.
drawing side: android tablet + autodesk sketch, maybe graphx2, maybe gimp, maybe photoshop.

Now, I need to prepare some stuff, go to the store, be sure I’ve got bread or rice stuff, apples; I have beer and I should avoid that and gin; I have tea.

Topic wise: I’m fine with any. I’ve pre-thought out some ideas. Those ideas work surprizingly well with most any concept I can throw at it; so the mindmap/brainstorm bit will be … unruly.

I need to set out music for the next 2 days. Scenesat may have periods of “crap I do not want to listen to right now” and I should _avoid_ EYEHATEGOD due to the darkness (outside.) Really I may just do the whole weekend with drone and the occasional period of xpander.

Oh, and, I should update all the server side components and be sure I’m all set for that. Yep. I think I’m fairly well set for planning. I wonder how exporting that stuff from the tablet will work… should see that too.

I’m in for the jam

I might only spend a few hours a day, but I’ll see what I can get done.

I’m going to use pygame, box2d, inkscape, gimp, and bxfr.

I’ll also use my own framework, which isn’t polished yet.  This is mainly why I’m doing the Jam instead of the main compo. If possible, I’ll improve my framework before the next LD so it’ll be usable by others.

I’m In… I think

Wanted to participate for a while, but the timing always seems bad for me. Again I have full day plans both Saturday and Sunday so my time to work will be rather limited, but I figure I might as well give it a shot this time around.

What I end up using may depend on the theme, but will be some subset of C++, Flash CS5, Irrlicht, LMMS, SFXR, Photoshop and Angel2D most likely.

Hello!

Here is Functioning, an SDL-based game framework written in Standard ML:

https://github.com/robsimmons/functioning

I hereby declare my intent to use Functioning for Ludum Dare 22.

First timer

This will be the first time I participate so I’m probably gonna take it easy, I will be using my own codebase that is publicly available on Google Code

Graphics will be done in GraphicsGale and sound with BFXR and coding with Eclipse. The game will be a HTML5/JavaScript game and I will try to keep away from using any AJAX calls so that I can zip the thing for local usage! :)

Use WebSockets. WebSockets security is not implemented using domain-oriented policies! Check out socket.io (for NodeJS) and APE for some servers that already exist (though APE will fall back to other transports if WebSockets aren’t available.)

Hey I looked at your GCode project… where are the examples? The repo doesn’t contain any unit tests or examples :(

I’m in!

I only have a day and then I have to catch a flight, but I’ll give it my best shot.

I’ll be using Flixel and maybe the Box2d library.

I’m late but I’m in!

Ahoy all!

I’m glad to say I’ll be entering LD22 this weekend, this is my 2nd LD and I hope it will be as much fun as the previous one. I am already super tired but it will hopefully help me having creative ideas =)

Here are the tools I will be using :

  • Asana
  • HaXe (with FlashDevelop )
  • Bacchus 0.2.2 (personnal framework) – download here
  • Adobe Photoshop CS3
  • Propellerhead’s Reason (and possibly Records)
  • BMFont (if needed)
  • Tiled (if needed)
  • BFXR (if needed)

I have already done the mandatory junk food shopping, I have created a new Bacchus project, tested BMFont and prepared a web page ready to be filled with release notes. Now I need to clean my desktop and tune my guitar before I can take a nap.

Good luck to you all!

More details on my participation

So I will be participating in the Jam with two friends (Carduus for the graphics, Mathieu for the music).

I’ll code in AS3 with FlashDevelop (probably no framework) and I’ll make a timelapse of it.
I’ll be tweeting: http://twitter.com/#!/OIIOIIOI
I’ll be on IRC on the official chan and on the french one.
And I’ve set up a blog where I will post our progression and stuff like that: http://01101101.fr/ld48/

Can’t wait for this to start! 😀
Good luck to you all!

Also, no kittens, thank you 😉

Flyinpancake is IN.

Fate has sent me to this corner of the internet on this day.

10 Hours Before it happens.

I’m in.

I’m in!

Again! Still have never submitted an entry but made many attempts… maybe this time!

I’m in

Here we go again !!!

for this time will take a chance on a HTML5 game framework called vaca5

for the graphics as usual paper and pencil + scanner + inkscape

LD22 – I’m in. Sort of.

So after some major rewrites of the prometheus library its almost done. I say almost – and its now t miunus 9 hours and here is what does not work… Yet.

  • The XML handling system & TMX parsing system as a result.
  • The OpenAL audio system.
  • The FBO system for primitives and shaders.
  • The WINAPI interface system for windows systems.

So, looking good I guess! On the other hand, mint 11 is still rocking my world – my new PC is minus a motherboard which is shipping its way to me and needs an OS installed… On to the good  news: GIMP, Paint.Net, VMWare Player, Geany and the usual LMMS work!

Here we go!
