Hello fellow kids how ya doing ?!
Slowly getting older and being hit by it during a gamejam is funny.
Last time I slept on the floor with plenty of strangers in a place far away from home. Working from 9am to 2am, eating fastfood all weekend, it was all ez back then... I think I'll probably just die if I do that now.
Yes our bones might hurt. Yes maybe we need more sleep. Yes healthy, comfort food is now a necessity. But we're here still rocking right :D ?
Anyway look at this flan pâtissier I made yesterday

Hope the best for everyone don't push yourself too hard !
We got lots of the models in place!
Here's a sneak peek 👀
Keep an eye out for * Fast-Food Dimensions * ! Maybe you can guess the gimmick from the name?

I think I made the game too simple this time xD
I found myself comparing every idea of mine with my past entry from 2022 that just fits the theme better.

I give up. I have very little experience in creating games on Unity. The main problem is that I can't decide on an idea. I come up with a game, an hour later I don't like it anymore, and then I have to start all over again. It's very tiring. Besides, I still have little experience with Unity. Until the next jam, I will practice coming up with more ideas and learn Unity better. The second reason I won't be trying is that things are happening in my personal life again. I'll be waiting for your games.

It's awesome working on Ludum Dare again! This time I'm going to try Godot for real. I've grown accustomed to writing my own engines in js and this is a bit of a new thing for me. This also gives me an opportunity to up my art a bit since animations are much more viable in a ready made engine. So without further ado... I present Chrystal the pug!

We lost the first hours in Sweden to get some good sleep and quite some time to figuring out what to do. Hopefully I'll be able to put in some mechanics in the next few hours to be able to put some more focus into content after that. Happy coding everyone!
It’s only the first day and my team already did so many important bits!! They are awesome, I’m the luckiest person in the world
Our working process. Welcome our cute and scary characters!

Hola! I am happy to report that we did not abandon the game jam right after the theme was announced, as has happened to me many times before :(
Overnight, we came up with a concept for what we would do, set up the infrastructure, and now, fueled by tea and coffee, we have begun designing and developing.
Code word: gnomes. Stay tuned for updates!
Sketch of the pitch attached.

But look how happy the spiders seem!
So far our team has only had 3 fist fights, 1 divorce, 2 band members leaving for creative differences and only 1 restraining order! things are looking good for us!
While we are only doing the LUDUM DARE EXTRA, we are excited that weve made as much progress as we have so far!
Hopefully well keep you all updated with our game as it slowly develops from a small local disaster to a national disaster!
Doing alright so far. I've got four levels done, some sound effects, and a couple of obstacles, such as these conveyor belts:

I've also tidied up the placeholder UI. There's still a bit of animation and juice missing (I'd like to add a hopping animation rather than the rabbit just warping to the next tile), but that's a Sunday problem.
I'm gonna take a quick break for Mega Metagross Raid Day in Pokemon Go, get some fresh air and exercise. When I get back I intend to spend the rest of the day thinking up and implementing as many obstacles and mechanics as possible, and then Sunday should be a matter of cranking out levels and adding polish and juice.
After 10+ ludum dares. I give up on this one. I have 0 ideas, and have too many things on my mind, and less time. Didn't want it to be this way, but I don't want to force myself. Of course, I might get a eureka moment later, but for now I'd say that I'm out. Good luck everyone!

Not sure I'll have time to make much this week-end, but this is already kind-of fun to play with.
