I’m In
I’ll try.
I’ll try.
I’m in as a test for Super Play, my SNES inspired game engine: http://www.superplay.info
So, my final project for a class is to create a game prototype. Of course, that means I’m in. Plus I have the added desire of making it my final project for a class? Added motivation right there.
This time around, I’ll be messing around with either Unity or pure html5, javascript, and css3.
NO MORE GAMEMAKER STUFF FROM ME 😛 (at least for awhile)
And, no, I’m not procrastinating. 😀

I’m In this time . .
I’ve tried this before and never ended up getting anywhere with what i was doing. . . hopefully i don’t have the same effect this time
>> Engine: Gamemaker: Studio
>> Sound: Bfxr
>> Graphics: Paint.net
Don’t know about anything else. the themes are interesting enough!
Since I participated in LD 4 times already, but never managed to get something finished (mostly because something got in my way and partly because I was just too uncreative) I am slightly demotivated. However, after taking a look at the 1st theme voting round, which features some royal-class stuff, I decided to kick my demotivation into the a.. and give it another try!
In order to make something useful, I will be using the following tools:
Cheers.
So the Ludum Dare time is getting ever closer, and it’s about time i think of a warmup (we don’t want to repeat last years startup, do we? http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2013/08/23/a-not-so-good-update-post/ ). But instead of making a short simple game, why not use this time to work harder on a project i have been doing for a while, and build a more limited version of it? It will be a bit bigger than usual warmup games are, and i might not even finish it in time, but let’s give it a shot. If it fails, at least it will be good for lols :D.
If you couldn’t tell by that little “Posted By” tag, my names @Jarwain.
Haven’t done a Ludum Dare before, but I’d consider myself to be a decent game developer. Haven’t had the time to do it before; I’ve always been walled in by schoolwork. But now, all I have to work on are College Apps, internship requests, and a project a few friends and I are working on (its very Spaaacey).
Since its a wonderful Winter Wonderland, and finals are dead and gone, I figure might as well do this Ludum Dare
So here’s the Obligatory I’m doing this Ludum Dare, Guys! post thing that people do. Sometimes. The Draft saved at 1:33:37 am so that must be a good sign!
I look forward to doing this with you guys!
Before I forget, here’s what I might end up using. I’m still trying to decide whether or not I want to do this in C++ or in Java (if y’all feel like persuading me, post a comment! It couldn’t hurt, and without external opinion I’m going to be frozen in this state of indecision!)
» var Language = Java || C++
» var IDE = Language == Java ? “eclipse” : Language == C++ ? “Visual Studio” : “Sublime Text 3”;
» Libraries: #include <LibGDX> || #include <SFML>
» Music: as3SFXR || pSycle || Self Recorded Piano || bfxr
» Graphics: MSPaint || Hexels || Adobe Fireworks (I find it easier to work with than Photoshop)
If I figure out some resolution, I’ll probably post about it here. And around the time I realize what I’m going to do, I’ll probably start working on a basic framework to make life easy. I’ll be sure to post that for you guys. :3
So, this is my 3rd time LD participation, and first time Jam. I’ll work with Mr. CrystalHawk, an aspiring art guy from Sweden. There’s 8 hours difference between us, and this is the first time for me (possibly for him too) to work with someone who has this much time difference. So we have to be smart to smoothly streamline our work. So far, our Warmup game went pretty well. We’ve spotted a couple of issues beforehand so that we won’t stumble on them in the real event.
Anyway, onto the tools we’re going to use…
Here’s a couple of ideas and tips we came up:
.gitignore):Temp
Library
*.sln
*.csproj
*.userprefs
First, I thought we can ignore *.meta files… I was wrong. *.meta is important.
Anyway, that’s it for now. We’re excited to Join!
Of course, I couldn’t pass this opportunity. Ludum Dare is here again and my hands are itchy for some sloppy programming! This is my 3rd time in the compo and it’s getting better each time! Hopefully this time around I’ll be able to get some decent sleep inbetween some maniacal programming sessions.
I did a warmup game to see if my brain is still working. It seems so, because I was able to complete it in less than 5 hours. If you are a fan of mysteries it is up your league, check it out here: The Box.
Let’s see the tools that I will be using this time around:
Ok, that’s all for now. See you!

Hello there,
This time will be my first ! I’ll use HTML 5 with LimeJS framework ( https://github.com/digitalfruit/limejs )
Can’t wait to do it \o/
See ya 😉
Hi!
Second LD for me! Hope i learnt from my last LD’s errors!
I will try using Unity this time…
See ya coding!
This will be first ludum dare
I will be using: Construct 2 and Gimp.
Hope it will be fun
Good luck guys!
This will be my third Ludum Dare, and this time I’m probably going to challenge myself more. My game for my last ludum dare was insanely simple and low stress compared to my first ludum dare with my second LD being done nearly 7 hours earlier than my first one.
I’ve also been working on a little Javascript library, so I’ll probably use Javascript this time around, and the usual GIMP 2 or Paint.NET for making amateur art.
I’m pretty giddy for the ol’ Dare this time. The last Jam was my first and I acquired a real taste for it. My shifts work out a whole load better this time, as last time I was on night shift and didn’t have much time to make something. Then in the following weeks I was sooo burned out I didn’t even take part in the social aspect, which is kind of the point? Y’know?
Last time I found myself reusing primitives similar to what I’d written for my framework, only in straight C, so this time I’ve decided to simply use my framework so that I can spend more time flirting with gameplay. I can imagine it it’ll help tweak the framework to a more usable state.
I’m hoping we get a fun theme and can’t wait to chip in with the community this time around.
Tools: C (gcc), Lua, SDL, lime (my framework) and the GIMP for graphics.
For my second entry, I’m in! I’ll be using Java again, but this time I’m going to using LibGDX instead of Slick. I might try to keep it simple and make a small puzzle game this time.
I’m in for the second time in the Jam competition. The last time, I did well and I was happy to have finished something. Last time, I used Monogame and c# to made my game. This time, I will use unity.
Tools: Unity 3D
Language: C#
Plugin: 2D Toolkit
My first objective is to have fun, my second objective is to finish my game and my third objective is to beat my last game.
Good luck to everyone
Using my new framework to make a simple choose-your-own-adventure in haxe/openfl.
Edit: Awww, no love for the uhfster.
Just not as myself
Managed to push more people to participate from my City this time and am participating as part of the team of 4
Soo more details here then http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2013/12/07/we-are-in-51/
