Hey all. I’m new to the whole game development shtick. I’m more of a hobbyist graphics guy and occasional audio man (see me at @PRUnreleased on Twitter for more).
I’m taking part in Ludum Dare to see how I well I can teach myself game dev. I don’t profess to be great at anything in this area of work but I hope if you watch my stream you can bear with me and possibly interact with me to teach me more!
Game Creator Tool: I will be using Stencyl to create my game, as it should teach me in a simple way how to put code together. Raw code scares me, a lot haha.
Graphics: Photoshop will be used for any graphics work.
Audio: Audacity and possibly sfxr and cgmusic for audio. Tempted to use GSXCC to change MIDIs to NES like music, or MIDI2WAV Converter to load soundfonts into its player to make midis sound like Mega Drive games or whatever else depending on soundfonts available.

I will be livestreaming my progress at : http://www.twitch.tv/prunreleasedlive
So I hope I can learn something from this. Totally a complete newbie when it comes to this but i love to challenge myself!
No matter what, make a game, even if it’s terrible, it’s still a great experience.
