LD28 December 13–16, 2013

Doing it again!

Oh man, those few months flew by like nothing.

For the moment it looks like there should be enough time on the weekend to get something going.

This time it’s going to be Unity 4.3 with the 2D tools. Hopefully I come to the point where I can produce some content, drawing, painting, perhaps even animating with Spine.

So, be ambitious in your idea and creativity, but aim for a doable prototype. We will see if I can heed my own advice. :)

First-timer is in!

Never attended Ludum Dare before, but I know it’s going to be fun!

  • Programming: GameMaker: Studio Standard
  • Graphics: GIMP
  • Music: FamiTracker
  • Sound: Bfxr and Audacity

I will likely be streaming my development process on Twitch. Here’s hoping for “corruption” as a theme.

Good luck everyone! 😉

Despite exams Sanguine is still in

BREAKING NEWS

I’m in.

So yes, this will be fun because I have exams on tuesday and thursday, but there is no way I’m going to let that ruin my 7 Ludum Dare streak.

Programming:

  • Game Maker 8

Graphics:

  • Photoshop CS6
  • Paint.NET
  • Flash Pro CS6 (Possibly)

Music & SFX:

  • Ableton Live 8
  • SFXR
  • Microphone
  • Audacity

I’m In!

I’m in for my 3rd(?) LD, I have some prior commitments this weekend so I will be working around those (as usual), but I am excited to dive into this one. I was successful at another game jam where I made Euro Buck Simulator 2, and am looking forward to keeping the streak going.

I will be using:

  • Unity
  • Photoshop
  • Pickle (maybe)
  • Blender (maybe)
  • Audacity
  • Garageband (maybe)
  • and snacks

My body is ready!

Never done something like the Ludum Dare before but I guess it will be fun 😉 .

Language: C#
IDE: Visual Studio 2010 Express
Framework: XNA 4.0
Graphics: PyxelEdit & Paint.net
Sound: bfxr

Let’s see if I can get anything done.

I’m in Finally!

Finally I get a chance to participate again!  I’m IN.

And we’re going for the no-kill challenge too.  I am in support of more games without violence as a core element!

I’m in!

First time. Looking forward to it. Never done anything like this, and only just started learning SDL this week. Finishing off a practice game now.

Using:

Language: C++

Engine: SDL and my own custom library that I’m still adding finishing touches on. It’s likely to continue changing throughout the compo too.

IDE: Xcode 5. Still have to figure out how to port this to Windows and Linux.

Sound: cfxr (mac version of bfxr) and Audacity

Graphics: Photoshop

My first time, lets rock

This is my first time in ludum dare… I will joining and this can be fun

programming >> Actionscript3

Framework >> Flashpunk

IDE >> FlashDevelop

Graphic : GIMP

Sound >> Bfxr

I hope will survive till the end

To develop or not

Hopefully no28 will be my first LD48! I’m in the middle of a small indie dev project and could use the distraction.

I’ve watched the past LDs and was always amazed of the amount of prototypes..

I’ll use Unity 3D (C#) or libgdx (Java), depending on the idea .. it already feels like a school exam, where you spent lots of the given time thinking about what to write .. 😀

Sad to miss it.

Unfortunately I can’t compete this time around. Stuff for hockey all three days will take too much time out of the weekend, not to mention that I should be studying for exams. It’s a real shame too, because the themes are looking GREAT this time. Pick something bad for this one and leave the good ones for #29?

In again

We are back in for our second time still not sure what we will be using but looking forward to it.

I’m in for the LD28 Jam

I’m planning on participating in this weekend’s LD28 – I’ll be doing the jam again as it gives me more breathing room as far as the libraries and tools I can use.  It’s been a while since I’ve had a clear weekend responsibility-wise that I wasn’t also completely burnt out from work, so I’m looking forward to having some energy and time for this.

I’ve been absorbed in learning the ins-and-outs of computer and electronic music lately and I just got a bunch of cool stuff from Native Instruments over their Thanksgiving sale, so I’m hoping to spend more time than I usually do playing with the sound for my game (or, really, playing with my new toys :))

Hardware: Macbook Pro, Wacom Tablet, iPad, MPK25 keyboard

Game Engine, Languages, & Tools:  Unity 3D Pro, C#, Xamarin Studio

Libraries & Frameworks:  Futile, Vectrocity, Spine

Graphics & Art: Corel Painter 12, Photoshop CS, Blender 2.6, Spine, Procreate iPad

Music & Audio: sfxr, Logic

Only Mildly Crazy

First jam and I’m 99.99% positive it’s going to be recklessly wild.

My motto is strictly K.I.S.S. I’m using this as an opportunity to do a few things. Practice rapid design/prototyping, learn more about Unity3D, get back to some game development after a long absence and meet some friendly souls out there.

Let’s do this.

Weapons: Unity + Photoshop

We’re in!!!!

Hi!

This will be my third Ludum and first for my teammate!!! Programmer + Artist. Perfect tandem.

We will use Unity , Flash, Photoshop or maybe Blender. For the music and sounds… Garageband maybe or bfrx or Audacity, we still don’t know.

But it will be fun for sure.

See you then!

I’m in most probably.

This will be my 5th LD! Wow! It’s hard to decide what tools I’m gonna use as it depends on the game idea I have. depending on the idea I might use some of the following software:

Adventure Game Studio
Unity
Inform 7
RPGMaker
Photoshop
Fruity Loops
BFXR
Pickle
Visual Studio
Sublime Text
Twine

That’s the official story But I’ll probably just end up using Unity + VS + PS :)

Have fun people and don’t get too caught up in the competition part, make the game you want to make rather than the one ‘that people tend to vote up’.

BTW My last LD entry I made into a mobile game after the comp. It’s called Overflow and you can find out about it here

Oh Yeah! I’m In!

Ready for my first Ludum Dare!

Good luck to everyone!

Engine: Unity3D / C#
Graphics: Photoshop
Sound: Reaper / Audition

Let’s Rock!

Nin

I’m in, and late, as usual.

As usual, I’m posting the I’m In post at the last minute, but what are you gonna do?

My usual tools- Java, Eclipse, and my own engine (which I posted last time).

The different thing this time is- I’m participating with a friend! He’ll design the game and draw the art, and I’ll code it. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? Well, I wouldn’t know, as this is gonna be my first time working with other people on a game.

Anyway, good luck to everyone! Let’s do this thing!

Back in the game

hah, back in a team again and going for the jam competition,

we’re going to work with gamemaker studio and maybe photoshop as well.

Good luck everyone!

I am in (Ludum Dare)

Since everyone is making these posts, I have decided to make one as well. I hope you enjoyed this post, but I assume everyone just scrolls past these posts. Anyway, I am in for a second time.
