LD has always been an inspiring event for me, so count me in! Again I’d like to present a new goodie along with my “I’m in” post.
This time it’s a Javascript port of my JGame 2D game engine, jgame.js. Download it here, along with my latest game Super Pyro Runner.
My tools:
First Ludam Dare was ld29 and we just couldnt get it all done in time. Looking forward to submitting this time. Cant wait!
This will be my 5th attempt, and hopefully my first LD success story.
Tools:
I’ve just started work on a simple cross-platform game engine thing (2d graphics, collisions), which I’ll share here when I’ve finished.
Hi guys, I’ve wanted to know what your opinion on GameMakerStudio is! So please vote here: http://strawpoll.me/2310320
I will be participating for the third time, this time alone and in the solo compo!
Tools:
– Java LibGDX or JavaScript
– Pyxel edit & Pickle
– FLStudio, sfxer
Looking forward to another awesome Ludum Dare!
Hi,
When I ran Ludum Dare for the first time, I really wanted to make a complete game from scratch.
I choose Javascript because it was powerful, portable and adaptable.
After 3 participations, I’ve found lots of duplicate code in my entries. So I take some time to gather them all.
So, here it is : The “Jam Toolkit”. Feel free to try it !

Featuring :
Can’t wait next LD !
Hey Guys,
So I noticed this was on on a weekend when I’ll have some time available and I’ve enjoyed it the last two times I’m participated so I think once again I shall declare myself ‘in’ so to speak.
Not one hundred percent certain what I’m going to use this time but I’ll write here what I’m expecting at this point.
Language.
Javascript
Libraries
WebGL
gl-matrix
I may also use a game engine, we shall see I guess. If I decide to I’ll post it here.
Good luck to everyone else who’s planning on participating! Let’s try and make some awesome games.
Hello everyone!
This year I will be attempting LD for the first time. I’m an 16 year old game development enthusiast. I will be aiming to do a simple game for the Jam. I’m hoping for positive, yet critic feedback. I will be using GameMaker Studio with bfxr for sounds, Audacity for music and Paint.NET for graphics. Cya in two weeks everyone!
Tools

Aims
This will be my 6th time entering but will be only the 2nd time that I’ll actually finish (hopefully). I’ll be working mainly by myself by may get some help with music / ideas. I’m entering the Jam because of that and because I’ll probably end up needing the extra day.
What I’ll be using:
IDE: Parakeet
Compiler / Engine: Game Maker Studio
Graphics: Gimp
Sounds: sfxr
Music (what my friend will use): FL Studio
Timelapse: Chronolapse
Goal:
To spend more time working on the game and not getting sidetracked or working on ideas that are silly for a few hours that I end up scrapping.

I’m in hoping to complete a game during the compo. I’ll be aiming to make a 3D game this time and try my best to not do something like a generic FPS, boring tower defense, or flappy clone. Something original or crazy that’s simple in design. Oh, and I will definitely include a procedural system or two, regardless of whether it’s weapons, maps, enemies, or something insane.
Are you itching for some Dare? Yeah! Are you ready though? Nope!?! Then between now and the start, you’re encouraged to test your tools. We call it Warmup Weekend (but we don’t mind when you submit, be it today or next week). Make some art, import it, and draw it on screen. Make some sounds, import them, and play them on cue. If you’re using a new development tool, figure out the development cycle. Learn how to make a release too!
Bullet point summary:
If you like what you’ve done, feel free to share it.
“To achieve great things, two things are needed: a plan, and not quite enough time.”
– Leonard Bernstein
Time for another one! As always I’ll be using Javascript, typed from Notepad++, Paint.NET for pictures and Audacity for sound.
This is my second LD, and I hope to blow my previous game out of the water. (Which isn’t hard, given that my last game was Dr Pepsi, Marriage Consultant.) Coming right off the heels of GB Jam 3, where I programmed the bulk of my game in three days, I think I’m prepared for the challenge of Ludum Dare 30. Like always, I’m using Game Maker 8 and Famitracker.
I still can’t use hyperlinks for some reason, which I thought was an anti-spam measure but apparently isn’t. So I’m just going to link to the games I’ve made for game jams lately.
LD29: Dr. Pepsi, Marriage Consultant ( http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=31541 )
GBJam3: Genetic Bounce MOTO ( http://gamejolt.com/games/adventure/genetic-bounce-moto/31585/ )
Anyway, good luck to everyone involved!
I will be competing in LD 30 either the jam or compo you can watch my stream at http://www.twitch.tv/thecoder15 . Hopefully i will be able finish a game.
