Decided to dust off some old code for turntable camera movement and click+drag interface and make something for the jam. Will probably become something more like an editor rather than a game. We’ll see.

This “piece” of the main character is able to teleport at will
Also, scrolling BG test

First time joining in Ludum Dare (I’m doing the Jam), hope to do well
I’m working solo in a project with these tools :
What I have done right now :
No Gameplay exists as of now, I’ve been mainly working on graphics the last 3 hours. The game rules have been set on paper though. It’s going to be a platformer
I’ve been wondering, how does anyone keep track of tasks ?
Good luck everyone !
Just finished pathfinding for my game. That was… well.. hard. But I did it! YAY!
Me and ROUS
Are going to be entering the jam.
Im gonna attempt to place some pixels in a pleasing pattern and bash out some code and ROUS will be providing the sound and music.
We’re using HaxePunk (WOOP!) the best game engine in the galaxy.
So if you are not hyped then ITS TIME TO GET HYPED COS ITS FUKIN LUDUM DARE MOTHERFUCKERS WUBALUBADUBDUB!!

Finally got something working.
Now I just need to add..well..everything else.
Back to work 😀

If this gif worked you would see a vampire turning into a bat and going around biting people you will have to just take my word for it.
10 hours, 3 github repos, a bunch of cursewords and a couple bottles of cola later we… kinda still have nothing. But it appears that all the major malfunctions we did not anticipate were cleared out of the way. Animation is going smoothly. A page worth of level design waits to be implemented once Szasz finishes with the tilemap. All is looking reasonably good for the next hour or two. Time for a nap maybe?

Making some sort of skill/puzzle based platformer??

I just woke up and I’m super refreshed! Gonna begin actually developing my game (it was worth sacrificing last night for sleep!)
And like always I’ll be streaming everything 😀

This is so so so bad guy… 😀 Hero Character 😀 LOL
Since this is my first LD entry and my first actual game, I decided to make simple platform game. The concept is that you play as shape-shifting tank-like entity and you transform in different forms to gain advantage against different enemies.
So far I’ve made rough look for one enemy, one player shape and some other small bits. Also made the very basic mechanics:moving around shooting,etc..

All the graphics will be changed (most likely), assuming that i will have enough time.
Good luck everyone! I’m off to get some sleep
Got my coffee, my snacks, my body and my brain ready for this. Let’s rock 😀
Hope you alle have a great time!
This is my first game jam, and I’ve been awfully excited about it. I even recruited a team of my friends to work with (doing the 72, obv). That said, now that we’re already ten hours in I realize I made two big mistakes: first, I should have spent more time getting to know Unity and C#, since knowing JavaScript doesn’t help me with UnityScript hardly at all, and second, I’ve already spent far too much time finding a concept.
I don’t want to let my team down, or waste their time. Can I still pull this out of the fire? Any ideas how?
Some preliminary soundtrack studies for the game:
The Great Magic Potion
