LD 38 April 21–24, 2017

I'm in

This will be my 5th Ludum Dare! Can't wait to see what I do for this one.

I'm In!

Let's do this.

The Idea!

So, the theme is "A small world". My plan is to try and create a shoot-em-up (or shmup as the kids are calling them these days) inspired by Geometry Wars 3, Space Invaders, and Missile Command. Controls will be dual-stick - best played with a 360 controller or similar.

I'm relieved that I actually have an idea as my biggest fear was if the selected theme was "Dark/Light" because I was struggling to come up with something for that!

Thankfully I can now get a little bit of sleep before cracking on tomorrow. Good luck to all my fellow jammers!

I'm in.

This is my eighth Ludum Dare. I'm doing the compo, as always; I'm not particularly excited about the theme, but I believe I can make something that will work.

As per usual, I'm using my custom Java game engine - Alfredo - and I'll be using GIMP for graphics and BFXR for sound effects, as well as Beepbox for music.

I've started brewing a pot of coffee - this should be an exciting night.

Our First Dare!! SUPER HYPED!!

This is our first Ludum Dare. The theme isn't what we voted for but I think we managed to come up with a pretty good game concept. It will be a 2D puzzle game with a twist mechanism.

It sure will be tough but boy is it exciting!

Ain't quite big enough, is it?

Figby and Barnaby don’t get along. The trouble, is Barnaby’s got a great big gun. And it’s a small, small world.

I've got a hectic weekend ahead of me. But, not letting that stop me from participating in my first #ldjam. Most likely throwing down in GameMaker Studio 2 this time around.

We decided how the game will be!

It's being an hour since we started and we are going to do a 2D Adventure game with a lot of surprises!

I'm In!

Hey there fellow Jammers! I am officially in LD38! For this LD, I will be trying a new program for my game, Construct2, along with my standard Piskel for the art. Good luck everybody!

I'm in!

Theme looks very similar to the old Tiny World theme, so I'm gonna recycle my scrapped ideas from that one, 'cause I hadn't got the time to do those properly.

2nd Ludum Dare

And I'm back for this Ludum Dare! Truth be told, this was the 2nd to last theme I wanted chosen.... I ALMOST have no idea of what to do with this. But Ive wasted an hour brainstorming, I FINALLY have an idea, but as with the Ludum Dare 37 it may not 100% reflect the theme... but it's better than nothing. Good luck to everyone! Working with LMMS, Audacity and Game Maker Studio again~

The hour of choosing

I spent the first hour brainstorming and I came up with four ideas.

This theme was a little tough for me to choose something for but I was about to scrounge up the start of my game idea. Time to start fleshing it out.

Getting Started

So i decided to make a game about island cities.

I have created the basic map and im just trying to figure it all out :D

oh whoops

I am unprepared and sorta thought this was next week.

Will I make something? Who knows??

Time to get started!

Well we've got the broadest sense of our idea. now to start refining it. It's much less technical than my previous games but I hope to get some voice acting and decent writing.

Enemy Mockups

I am started!

This is my second Ludum Dare. I will be competing in the Jam and my small world is in one small room. No, this is not a rehash of LD37!

I'm In!

Currently working on since the start of the jam, everything seems to be going good! I think we might do pretty great this jam!

We are in

Me and my team are doing our first LD Jam. Best of luck to everyone participating!

First Ludum Dare!

Well, I wanted to do the last one but wasn’t inspired by the theme and sort of ran out of time. But I’m itching to make something now!

Also I totally thought this was going to start at 9pm PST, already down an hour :P Let’s get some brainstorming done!
