Movment is pretty much done!
I need to make smaller character sprite (this one seems awkward), but i have done movment and it has walljumping!
It is time to work on camera movment!

Excited to say that the game is starting to get somewhere. The blue guys make the game interesting...don't know yet If I want make them shootable or not tho...

Not my first LD, but the first that I'll actually have a submission. I've got a nice little infinite-runner going :D

Third time today! Luckily I save often.

I think i make everything today though!
We have liftoff! :rocket: I've completed the simulation for the gravity of planets and the controls for the ship. The white line in front of the ship displays the expected line of flight. Here is a gif showcasing it:

Leafy Paul's workspace is taking shape... I wonder if your precious plant baby will like your coffee?
I have made steady progress and have gotten the base mechanics set up and functioning!
Green tiles give you one energy point, orange tiles take two, and white ones take 1 energy point. Gif: http://i.imgur.com/whioxgq.gifv
This morning has been going well! After deciding on our game (infinite runner in a cave, where your torch is constantly running out), we've made some good progress. Player movement, torch and battery functionality are all well underway, as is a lot of the art.
We ran into some difficulties at the beginning - namely forgetting to update Unity & create a git repo, but that's all sorted now. Looking forward to spending the rest of the weekend on this!

Hozomeen consists of Pip Turner (https://twitter.com/dwarph) and Poppy Lomax (https://twitter.com/spacebabe7).
Here is the first update showing you my logo. Work in progress.

Second attempt at LDjam! LD38 was miserably failed!

Level editor works, main controls seem solid for playtesting.
Creating jetpack challenges.

First attempt to collect everything can be wasteful.

But you only have limited power for all the rooms,
so you can backtrack to redo old rooms with less power.
Too late, but game concept looks simple (for beginning it always simple, heh).
My idea is something to do with penguins…

12 hours in and I have finally agreed with myself on a concrete design. I suppose that happens when you work alone and haven't a lot of LDJam experience. :P
So, switching the power mechanics from the grid itself (in a power grid puzzle fashion) to the player itself, as a character that needs to recharge every so often or else... they lose. Just that. So time and resources are of essence, and it's also a tower defense. Because there has to be a sense of threat, and in this case it's creeps coming after your charging station. :P
A hybrid of Rymdkapsel and Pikmin, basically. And with vector graphics. More on vector graphics later!
Hi, everyone!
For this Ludum Dare we try to make a fun game with the theme. As we started to work a bit late (because our time zone) we could see some ideas from other teams and we tried to do something different...
10:00AM: Our first meeting
First of all, we start to talk about the theme and bring some ideas. After a few minutes of bad jokes and some videos from YouTube we found an interesting point to start with.

Our first inspiration for the gameplay was a little story: a not long ago, a colleague from has joined the fire prevention initiative and he talked us about the safety protocols... something like this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YL2-bO4py5M
So... we decided to make a puzzle game based on that idea and with a little inspiration from titles like Chu Chu Rocket. We started to work in the gameplay and now we have something like that:

And after a few concepts and doodles we have the first design for the character(s) who will appear in the game:

In the following hours: finish the main gameplay, model the base character and make some skins :)

I'm still tweaking the physics & controls to make sure that your character controls are super smooth :)
You try to pilot a large aerostat, fleeing something awful that tries to destroy it. Keep every system onboard up and running and make sure you never never never run out of energy, or you will, well... die, you know.

Help me making a decision :P
A or B?
