I’m in
This is my first time doing this. I hope I can make something.
I will try for the first time using PlayCanvas. I don’t know how to use it, but I will know soon.
My other tools will be Pixelmator, Bfxr and a Wacom tablet.

Ahoy there, mateys! I’m Captain Nick, a 18 year old mobile/web developer and also an engineering student.
I’ve never made an actual game before, but I’ll try my best. Practice is the key to success!
As for the tools/libraries, I think I’ll be using these:
I think I’ll publish for HTML5, desktop and Android.
I’m definitely going to use free assets in my game, because I’m not good at art.
Good luck everyone, and remember, VOTE SNOWMAN!
Hello!
I am Stylianos. As the title suggests, this is my first LD.
I will be working solo and my girlfriend will help me with the art.
I hope I can meet new people and have fun during this event.
I will also try streaming for the first time so
if you have time join me here!
I will be using:
Engine: Construct 2
Art: MSPaint, GIMP
SFX: BFXR
Good luck everyone!
This time challenge : a networked multiplayer game. I know how hard networking can be but I feel I can find some balance between simplicity to implement and deepness within the gameplay.
The tools are set up :
Motivation : to the top !
Good luck and have fun everyone !
This is my first LD and I will be submitting something my family permitting. It is not always easy to find time.
Tools:
Unity
Photoshop
Blender
Sketchup
and other.
Hey!
Pretty vague title, but I have no idea if I could participate in the whole compo or not. If I do, it might be a 1-day challenge for me. Or maybe even a 1/2 day challenge. Who knows. All I know is I want to do audio for a game, thats always fun. Anyways, here are my tools of choice:
Best of luck to you all, hope to see you on the other side!
Hey Hey,
I hope this will be my third LD finishing a Game!
And I dont’t hope it will be my second LD finishing nothing
In memory of ‘Folderworld’ the game I found not enough time for the last LD…
screenshot of Folderworld:
Today a friend asked for some help with his CardGame project
so i just wrote some notes in denglish:
So I might try making a CardGame this time 😀
looking forward playing cool games!!!
Tools:
Gimp, Processing maybe , a mic, aaaand the cool new whiteboard xD
I can’t stop thinking about this! Friday please come already!
I’ll probably use unity, maya, photoshop, and audacity.
This is my first time trying to make a game for Ludum Dare, here is what I will be using:
IDE: Code::Blocks
Language: C++
Engine: SDL w/ SDL_Image & SDL_Mixer
linked to url: http://felixisdev.weebly.com/uploads/3/0/6/4/30647419/sdlbasecode.cpp
Graphics: Paint. NET
Audio: Famitracker
This will be my 11th time participating in Ludum Dare in a row. My Weekend is mostly clear and I should have plenty of time to make a game this weekend.
I’ll be using:
Construct 2
bfxr
Photoshop
abundant music
Gamejolt API (Achievements and Highscore table)
I will also be creating YouTube Videos of the Completed games, and they will be on my Youtube Channel If you would like a video of someone else playing your game with commentary then sign up here. The videos will usually include the entire game, depending on the style of game.
Last time I made 25 videos for Ludum Dare 30, you can find them on my youtube, or here on the Ludum Dare blog.

Anyone know of a good free VPS hosting that can serve some very basic throughput but with complete freedom?
For the purpose of the LD, so limited time free subscription works too.
And if this has been discussed before, can someone make some sort of sticky?

Soo looking forward to this LD, which is going to be my sixth…ish one! I have a big item on the agenda: self-improvement! In recent LDs, although it’s always been fun and I personally felt I learned a lot, ratings have been absolutely stagnant if not regressive.
This is also my first LD without my cat – she passed away not long ago and I miss her terribly.
As always, I’ll be making a game and all its assets from scratch, alone, and probably for the Jam because of horrible time management. My tools: text editor (Coda), Pixelmator, Audacity, Logic Pro X
Targeting this stack: web browser, HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery, Three.js if 3D
And now, three public service announcements:
1) YOU CAN HAZ SOUND
Really, sound effects are not hard, and you can make them yourself if need be, you don’t even need a fancy generator website or anything. Just you and a microphone. Audacity is stupid simple to use. This will make your game literally 10x better! I made the background soundtrack and UI effects for Planet Improver with kitchen utensils and an old fan. It was a terrible game, but people thought it was atmospheric because of literally the shabbiest sound track imaginable.
2) SUPPORT MIKE (PoV) ON PATREON
Our benevolent dictator and site plumber is doing LD full time now, and he needs our help to do that. Give something back to the source for all the hours of fun, entertainment, learning, and camaraderie you experienced here. Go here and support: http://www.patreon.com/mikekasprzak
3) CONTRIBUTING FREE SOUNDTRACKS FOR YOUR JAMZ
Over the years I made quite a few tracks for Ludum Dare and other projects. I’m putting them online for anyone to use, so if you find anything you like: go ahead! ![]()
UDO’S GAME ZOO
Here’s what I did before, time to do better
So the last time I did Ludum Dare, was 29 for Beneath The Surface…
My entry was Saving Grace which explored the Seven Deadly Sins…
http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=35533
Here’s hoping the theme doesn’t end up as result of vote 4/5
The Plan: Come up with a decent enough game in the 2 day Ludum Jam… followed by polishing, fine tuning and making it super awesome beyond over 28 days to make up a quality #30daydev.
Had to jump into that delicious Wallpaper Fray with one of my own. Made from some extra animations from LD30. Click the preview image for a gallery of alternate colors.
Happy Jamming!

I’m looking forward to the next Ludum this weekend. I’d like to take the time to make an inventory of the technologies and tools that I will be using:
* MAGE2D – a little game engine I designed that allows me to focus on making a game rather than on technical details,
* SDL and OpenGL,
* code in QT Creator, graphics in GIMP.
That’s what I can think of at the moment. I’ll update in the event something else comes to mind. I will also likely be making the game with the user Vunse, and as such we will be participating in the Jam rather than the Compo.
Hello everyone. A friend and I want to join in on the fun for LD31. This is my first time, and I am very excited and nervous for the Jam.
I’ll probably be using Unity, while my friend, who is an incredibly talented artist, will use her Very Fancy Tools™ to make awesome eye candy and more.
Noob question though, if we end up succeeding and have something to submit, do we have to submit under either one of our accounts? Or should we make a sort of joint account? Or is there something already in place that allows us to submit under both of our individual accounts as a team?
Looking forward to being part of this!

So, I think it’s about time to give my engine a spin on an actual game project, and this is good opportunity to see what it can do.
IDE: Visual Studio 2013
Libraries: glfw3.lib opengl32.lib kernel32.lib user32.lib glu32.lib winmm.lib OpenAL32.lib
Tools: Most of my tools are things I wrote, so I can’t really link them, but for sound I should be using Audacity
Engine Code: I’ve included a link to my base engine code below (sorry if it’s messy, It’s my first go at an engine)
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1iX4n4OED8c-0WCxsbrsH1_7-hKqFtyBB_rz9w–a6Jo/edit?usp=sharing
Good luck to everyone competing!

how to join in the theme voting
I’m in, and extremely excited to participate for the first time….
i have been programming for a long time; probably longer than many of you have been alive. However, this will be my first real game.
Right now, I think I will use
– unity
– gimp
– bfxr
interestingly, I have absolutely ZERO experience with any of these tools! Why does have the feeling of career suicide?
anyway, I have set the bar very low for myself, if it runs and I learn something, than the weekend is a success!!!
best wishes to all.
I’ve noticed a distinct lack of creativity in snow-themed game names. Feel free to use these, if you’re awesome enough.
– Snowman’s Land
– Snowmand and Conquer
– Snow Thy Enemy
– Snow Escape
– Snow-Mo Replay
– Put on a Snow
– Snowbody’s Business
– Snow-Away Passenger
– Snowledge is Power
Further suggestions welcome. Puns will prevail, I just snow it.
