LD 43 November 30鈥揇ecember 3, 2018

I'm in.

Now bring me some themes so that I may slaughter them :8ball:

I think I鈥榤 in this time

Sine the birth of my daughter I never had the time again to join a gamejam... this time it is my birthday present that I can hide for 2 Days in the Office to create a game. Very cool. Thx to my family 馃憤

Will use GameMaker2 for the first time... hope it will run like I know it from GM:Studio

It's that time again (almost)

So, it's almost that time again, LD43. Last LD I did what I said I would and created a worthy entry - We Need Space! Now, let's see what I come up with time. Here's my theme suggestions: Capture.PNG

My LDJam Game is now on Steam!

As said in the title. The game is now on steam. Thank you for all the feedback. I added everything I got to the new game.

The Theme Always Somethings

We're in! Or I am, at least. We haven't really talked about it yet, so I will reserve the "official" statement for later... but that's not why I am writing this.

It's that time again! The Theme Always Sucks, right? Speaking for myself, our entries have always been guided by the theme and I still stand behind all of them---even when a game ranked lower in the theme category than I'd hoped (You're still very dear to my heart, LD40's Spacelitch). The Theme Always Sucks, but The Theme Is What You Make Of It. That's pretty clich茅, but it's true.

My personal approach is to think of something that's ambiguous but still guides a train of thought; some kind of idiom or just a weird combination of words. This time I think I kept it pretty traditional.

See you at the slaughter!

I'm in this time around, hopefully with my normal team.

Hey all, I missed last Jam. I "Had" to go to Hawaii and be on a plane the weekend of the Jam :( haha. But I'm back this time around.

Almost certainly using Unity, and whatever tools we need depending on what kind of game we come up with.

Good luck all and lets hope for a good theme this time.

Sorry, not this time.

Hi jam lovers. This time I will probably not participate on this LD because I'm hosting to the same time my own game jam about the theme friendship on itch. I thought the LD 43 would be on the weekend of the 8. December ... well, I was wrong. But thats ok, because I will still make a game on the LD weekend. :D

And I will also play all of your LD games. So give your best. You are all awesome!

My thoughts on things (?)

The December jam

I'm sad to see the 3rd jam go! It was a perfect amount for my yearly schedule, but Mike should do what's best for him. I'll probably pick another yearly game jam to participate in, so I can get my quota of 3 jam games a year :)

The theme suggestions

There have been a lot of complaining about the theme the last couple of LD jams. I'm sure that it has been proposed before, but would it be an idea to keep the theme suggestions as they are, and also add a second theme contrived by an industry legend or something? So you can choose which one you want to work with.

My theme suggestions

  • Caught in a Capsule
  • Release the Animals
  • Unholy Playing Field

I'm in for my third Ludum Dare !

I couldn't finish a game my previous participations. I hope i will reach the end this time  Good luck everyone !

Geta Game Jam 6!!

Come and join January's upcoming Geta Game Jam!

We'll be making a game throughout the course of three days,

between January 5th and January 8th!

  • Theme voting will open tomorrow on the 14th of November!
  • Our Discord community is an open and friendly place to discuss game development :)

Interested? Check out the jam page!!

Im In

Lost track of how many Ludum Dares I've entered under however many usernames, but this'll be my second one under TimeLoad. Definitely going to be a lot of fun, but now that I'm working full-time, I don't know how I'm going to go.

I'm in!

Just another I'm in post.

These were my theme suggestions, quite happy with them.

Mandatory "I'm In post"

7th time? Wow...

Even though the first two attempts I didn't publish the game (even though both time the game was completed. Just didn't fit the deadline).

I kind of start feeling old at this point.

Will be using the same tool belt as always (Yes, I am a bit conservative).

  • Engine - Unity
  • Coding - C# via Visual Studio Community.
  • 3D Graphics - Blender
  • 2D Graphics - Krita / Paint.Net
  • Audio - erm... well... technically I intend to use BFXR and Audacity and maybe Audiotool. But seriously I only had one game which featured ANY sounds. So i don't have high hopes for audio part of the game to be fancy. Or to be at all.

Anyway, let's have tons of fun guys!

I'm in (Ludum Dare 43)

It's gonna be my first Ludum Dare, or any game jam at all.Very Excited...

So Last words - I'm in

Suggestions

My only submitted theme-suggestion is "Combatability" (which I know is a silly pun), but could make for some interesting games without being to restrictive.

I personaly think you don't have to submit three themes just for the sake of completion (if you got three good ideas it's great though).

By the way: most "theme-extending" adjectives are relatively unnecessary (like fun, good, or innovative)

LD 43 - first timer is in!

I intended to participate in the last LD but my toddler decided staying up all weekend was more important!

This year however I've negotiated a whole weekend to myself! I've a mini fridge stacked with junk food and monster in my home office - ready to jam like it's a 90s lan party.

Lone dev this time but next LD I might have a designer and sound guy on board! I'm a programmer with zero design skill so this will be very entertaining I'm sure! My only aim this time is to finish not too fussed about ranking this time.

Unity is my choice and my theme suggestions were:

  • circles of life
  • cold and dark vs warm and light mechanics
  • realities collide

Cheers.

We're in!

The three of us are in! We are all first timers.

Theme: "One of these things is not like the others"

Yet another I'm in post.

To long have I sat back and watched ludum dare take place eager to participate but never committing.

I'm finally doing it. I've got a little team together, a free weekend, and enough knowledge of unity and other programs to make something creative.

Tools my team will be using - Unity, C# - Blender - Paint.net - A piano - Various shaped and colored rocks - Lack of sleep - To much coffee

This will be our first ever jam and we couldn't be more excited!

After 5 LD jams missed I'm back.. better than ever

Hey, I wanted to share a word with you guys. 3 years ago I started learning game development. 1.5 year ago I participated in LD38 and finished my first crappy game. It was a great experience tho.

Now after few more gamejams stationary and online, working on a rpg game with a team over a year, and now working on my mobile game.. I feel like a totally different person. So I decided to participate LD43 (as I missed the previous one).

This is my tribute to myself and LD for kicking my ass over a 48h to deliver a game. Now I'm doing a JAM competition with a team! New challenges and experience to gain.

And I wanted to share my theme suggestions.. I couldn't come up with 3 ideas so only two there ;)
