LD 39 July 28–31, 2017

I'm in!

Should be fun. Hopefully I can cram enough SDL knowledge before Friday :stuckouttongue:

Technical Details

  • C++ and Visual Studio Community 2017
  • SDL2 with cross-platform window creation, input, and 2D Rendering
  • 2D Art with Photoshop / Pyxel Edit
  • Sound with bfxr, sfxr, possibly FL Studio for some Music
  • Releases on Windows, possibly Linux

I'm in

I am in and ready to rock n roll!

I'm out

jk, i'm in

I'm In!

Going to attempt it to participate again for this LD. Last LD my computer decided to die on me and was unable to finish.

What I will be using for the jam: Engine: Unity Graphics: Photoshop for alot, Maya if I decide to go 3D, and substance painter if the 3D concept sticks Audio: Audacity plus a ton of other random programs I have installed.

Good luck to everyone!

I'm In

For the second time in a row, I'll be making a game during this LD :)

Not sure yet if I'll have a team or do it alone, others are still undecided.

After my game is ready, I'll be streaming as much other games I can on https://www.twitch.tv/togislp like last time. I will announce my streams here and on https://twitter.com/TogisLp so if you want me to test your games, feel free to follow and join us ^^

Toolset I'll be using:

  • Unity
  • Visual Studio 2017
  • Photoshop / Paint.net / Piskel
  • bxfr / cgmusic / openMPT (if I have the time)

Good luck and have fun to everyone!

I'm in, pending life of course

I am in for this weekend, though I'm also in the middle of a release at work. Hopefully it is a quiet weekend and I can work on Ludum Dare all weekend. Anyways I will be using these tools:

  • Unity
  • Blender
  • Photoshop
  • Various proc gen music and sound tools (cgmusic :notes:, bfxr :space_invader:, etc.)

This time I want to take on a smaller scope game and polish it heavily. In the past I've gone for fully featured games (why did I attempt a city builder that one time?) and while most of the time I have finished the game, it ended up with me exhausted and the game super buggy.

And to everyone else out there: Good luck, have fun and learn a lot!

I'm in!

Wow I actually had no idea it was this close to starting. I just randomly visited the site to see when the next jam is, and lo and behold, here it is!

Huge respect for you, Mike Kasprzak!

Just wanted to say that I am extremely grateful for all the hard work you put down with this site/community and these events.
On top of that I want to say that I really appreciate the new approach with the transparency of the work on the new site and all of the "behind the scenes".
I think this is appreciated by most of us, so keep up the good work and don't forget that you are awesome!

From me, Brorawr Studios and most likely most of this community, Thank you.

Using Unity, Lightwave, Sceelix... Whatever else will help.

I'm In!

I'm in for my second Ludum Dare. I'll probably just do something in regular JS like last time, although I might decide to use Unity if I get an idea that needs it.

Unofficial LD Character

Someone mentionned making a character that represents the contest on a blog post so we can include a reference to the event (like an easter egg).

I liked the idea, so I made my own rendition. Meet the Dare Girl. dare girl.png Feel free to use, reuse, modify or derivate from the image as you need. If you do, could you tell me so I can play your game

Welcome to Ludum Dare 39!

Hi everyone, and welcome to Ludum Dare 39!

Final Round Theme Voting has started. Go over here and cast your vote:

:ballot_box: /events/ludum-dare/39/theme

For rules and other info, visit the event page:

:trophy: /events/ludum-dare/39

For those new to Ludum Dare, it's very common (almost tradition) that website goes down during the minutes leading up to the Theme Announcement, so we highly recommend you follow our Twitter account:

https://twitter.com/ludumdare

The theme will be announced when the clock at the top this page reaches zero.

Goals of Ludum Dare 39

For Ludum Dare 39 we're running a plain ordinary event here on the new website. Some folks felt last event was too rough, so I wanted to run just a simple clean event without as many hiccups. I also overdid it, pushing myself too far last time, so I need a chill-out event.

There's numerous bugs still lingering. If you see something odd, feel free to report it:

https://github.com/ludumdare/ludumdare/issues

We're trying to fix things as we find them.

Speaking of bugs, some of you may notice that when you login, it doesn't log you in. This is unfortunately due to a fix for a different bug that appears to have revealed a new problem. Oops!

If you're having problems logging in, it means your web browser is ignoring our login cookie. If you whitelist the following cookie domains, it should work.

https://api.ludumdare.com https://api.ldjam.com

I'll be doing a bit of maintenance later tonight. Right now the website is using first URL for the API, but I'll be switching it back to the 2nd. I hope that fixes things outright, but I'm pretty sure some folks will still have issues.

Getting this problem fixed is one of the big priorities for next time (Solution is to set up a Load Balancing server and a Comodo certificate, 'cause CloudFlare and Lets Encrypt aren't perfect enough). I totally agree having to whitelist a domain for cookies is uncool.

Keynote, hosted by Noah Ratcliff @nratcliff

Keynoting Ludum Dare 39 is Noah Ratcliff. Noah has a pretty great streak going, having submitted a game in every event since Ludum Dare 25, which was 5 years ago! Wow!

http://ludumdare.com/compo/author/fussycashew/

Definitely an expert when it comes Ludum Daring.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfDYFXjKlvw

That's it for now. Stay tuned! Go vote! It's time again for Ludum Dare!

We're In!

Me and 3 other friends are going to be participating in the Jam together. Good luck everyone!

Tools we'll be using:

-Unity

-Blender

-Audacity

I'm In

3rd LD for me - 3rd time's a charm hopefully. Hope to restrain myself on scope this time and manage something a bit more polished, maybe try to pour in a less insane amount of hours, but who knows, its so much fun its hard not to. Also hope to finish in time for the compo

Tools: * Unity or possibly Phaser, Visual Studio * Aseprite or maybe Blender if I go 3D (but that already sounds like a terrible idea for keeping down scope) * Reaper or maybe try something new for music (once again probably a bad idea), probably bfxr for sfx * SourceTree and bitbucket for source control

A Shockingly unoriginal tool collection, but there you go.

See you all on the other side.

I'm in-ish for the spinach.

I am moving into new apartment in a few hours and won't have internet, so... I don't know how this will go, but I'm gonna try to participate again. Most likely my now-standard combination of basic JS and MS Paint/GIMP. Good luck, everyone!

Let's do this, I'm in!

Took part in the last LD and ran into an issue with managing the scope of the game, but this time I'm going to go in with that in mind and make what I can! I'll be using: Unity for my engine Blender or MagicaVoxel for models (if I decide to do something with models) Photoshop for textures and/or sprites Audacity, my mic, and my wonderful vocal chords for some sound effects Gl;hf

I'm In!

Will be using Typescript and PIXI.js.

My personal goals for LD39

The jam is always a great opportunity to grow as a game dev, so I set myself some additional goals this time: 1. Get out of your comfort zone! 2. Make something weird! 3. Use an uncommon setting! (see #1 & #2) 4. Create something unsellable! (see all of the above)

As always, I'll record a lot of video footage of how I fare. Good luck, everyone!

I'm In

First timer, will see how this goes

Thinking about using HaxeFlixel or Construct. For graphics maybe Aseprite. Still searching what can I use for sound.

Let's do this!

I'm in, sorta!

I kept most of the weekends free in August to ensure I would be free to participate in my 10th Ludum Dare... I cursed the sky (not Mike because he's legit) when it was scheduled for July! I believed until recently that I would have to skip this this weekend entirely, but I learned my plans for the weekend only consume Saturday night and not Friday. So I've formulated a plan to participate this weekend... I'm losing around 16 to 18 hours of time that I would normally have in a LDJAM. To compensate I'm going to dump graphics and audio and do a console based game. Removing the need to create art, music, and worry about things like 2d collision should allow me to finish something on time. If not, I'm opening the door to submitting to the Jam instead of the Compo... regardless a game will be made!

Tools: Vanilla C# in Visual Studio with no specific frameworks at this time.

Good luck everyone!

I'm in

I have gotten better at scoping. Maybe this round I will have something to publish

2nd Time!

:flagau:This is my second Ludum Dare, I will be posing updates on my twitter! https://twitter.com/Azza292

I'll be using:

Unity, Paint.Net, and Chai Tea

Mini Golf for LowPoly Daily in Twitter

I'm in, for the first time

Very excited! I've done a few game jams on Itch.io and haven't had a chance to compete in something as huge as Ludum Dare.

I'm in

First LD, not my first jam. I'll be working with my teammate to make a game in Unity.

Does this post mean that I'm in?

Oh boy, I can't wait for this! It's my first time, so I'll be using an engine I'm familiar with: GameMaker. Gonna have lotsa fun! :D

I'm in

LD38 didn't turn out too well for me, hoping I can get something done for this one! Gonna be using Unity and hopefully be working with a few modelers/animators.

I'm in!

Excited to be in for the second time! Using Unity, photoshop and potentially blender. Good luck everyone! :)

Wallpapers?

Since we switched over to the new site I've been unable to properly locate LDJAM wallpapers, does anyone know if there is an aggregation of these somewhere, or did this practice die out?

oh boy here we goooooooo

This time, maybe I should add sound...

LD39 - I AM IN

This will be my 13th LD, and this time I will be doing it in Winnipeg while I visit my Mom. Looking forward to jamming with a Slurpee in my hand.

Tools

  • Unity 2017.1 (C#)
  • PyxelEdit 0.4.4 (Pixels)
  • Bfxr (Sounds)

Looking for a simple tool for 8-bit music, any suggestions?

Paul

I feel the need to say "I'm in"

I'm in. Going to try and step up my Unity skills. Hopefully I can create a really cute game with nice looking effects. Going to go with Blender for sure, but depending on the theme, I may have to use Qubicle again.

Been a While

Last time I has a horrible time for a number of reasons. This time i'll be travelling but i'll take my laptop. Damn, it should be interesting.

Bottom line is: I'm in, hopefully there will be a game ready to play Sunday.

DDRKirby(ISQ) and friends are In!

We're at it again! Ludum Dare is upon us and boy do I feel unprepared! It's been a hectic few weeks lately but I'm taking a half-day of work on Friday and will do my best to calm myself mentally for the weekend.

This time around me and my partner-in-crime Kat will be joined by another artist who plans to help us out on the UI side! We actually are really hoping to make some sort of dialogue/narrative adventure game, trying to focus more on storytelling this time around rather than gameplay itself. It's a skill we're hoping to develop and what better time to work on it than LD? We're really inspired by games such as OneShot and want to explore that sort of medium.

As always, I'll be using some starter code which you can see here.

Tools: - Unity3D with Monodevelop as IDE, deploying to WebGL - FL Studio for music and audio - LabChirp and Freesound for any additional sfx needs - Paint Tool SAI/Photoshop/Illustrator for the artists - GIMP for any additional image processing I need to do on my end - Aseprite if we do any pixel art - Tiled and Tiled2Unity if we end up needing tilemaps

I think I'm also going to take the dive and try out Unity 2017, which was recently released. Hopefully that goes well!

My personal goals for LD39: - Make a game that tells a story! - Don't kill myself...take it easy and pace myself well! - Really focus on designing the game out beforehand, don't rush!

TODO list before LD starts: - Do a big grocery run to stock up on groceries and snacks. - Set up dropbox folder - Set up bitbucket repo and create Unity project - Make basic dialogue box script (?)

Good luck everyone, and godspeed!

I'm in

This is going to be my first Ludam Dare, I'm thinking of using Gamemaker and Piskel, I hope it's FUN!

I'm doing this.

I'm doing the Jam. This should be interesting. I'm probably terribly unprepared and getting involved on a total whim. But see, I realized something:

Even if I end up making the crappiest game that barely even functions, I'm going to learn something new while doing this.

Farewell Adobe Flash

Going to use flash for this last time since I'm ridiculously fast at making prototypes with it so it's perfect for LD. Good luck everyone! rip_flash.png

I'm in!

I am new here, this is my first Ludum Dare, and I will use TIC-80 to make my game.

I'm in :)

It's been a while since my last LD – hopefully I'll have enough time to get something up this weekend

.

.

Let's do this!

Get hyped!

I'm in!

Hello everyone, that will be my first time i participate in LD. I will use TIC-80 for the jam :)

Young but positive and certainly in!

Hey guys, last time i participated i was 12 and this time im 14 have so much more experience! Im going to be using :

  • Unity
  • MonoDevelop
  • Photoshop
  • Blender
  • Audacity
  • Google (Of course!)

Hopefully I can incorporate some new things im learning such as neural networks and genetic algorithms!

I'm in

My fifth Ludum Dare, and hopefully my third where I finish a game.

Using:

  • SDL2
  • C/C++
  • GNU Emacs
  • Virtualbox
  • Linux Mint
  • Paint.NET
  • Ableton Live

Im in

This will be the second ludum dare that I will join and since the classes at our country started at June, I will probably join the Compo.

Hopefully, the theme would be better than the previous.

I will be using:

 •Unity

 •Blender

 •Paint.net

 •Bosca Ceoil

First LD, good luck everybody.

Hopefully this will be my first LD entry. I'll be trying to use only free software (non-propriety) tools in my quest to make a game. I'll probably be using:

Game Engine (Framework): Libgdx

3d Graphics: Blender

2d Graphics: The GIMP

Music: Ardour (A FOSS DAW)

OS: Linux

I'm In

My weekend is already pretty much shot, but the theme possibilities look great so I'm going to do what I can! No time for streaming this time around.

Good luck everyone!

Tools I Use

People seem to be really eager to pre-announce their tool belts, and I am kind of feeling left out now. So here are mine:

  • Engine: Unity3D
  • Coding: C# / Visual Studio Community 2017
  • Visuals: Blender / Krita
  • Sound: NA. (Will try BFXR for effects, but NFI what to use for background music…)

And seeing a lot of people announce they would be using their own engines, or even plain C… Makes me impressed.

I remember when I was young (sometime around 2000) me and a couple of friends tried to create a game. And I was coding it using… quick Basic. smile And I even managed to make a Fallout-like isometric map rendering with each tile having it’s “Sprite” and those were rendered in sequence to make a map. Though… at that time we didn’t know such words as “Rendering” or “Sprite”. Heck… Even the “sprites” we used for rendering were not actually images loaded from external files. Those were subroutines issuing commands to set color of specific pixels. And it was kind of tedious to make those (and adjust them if needed). And animations? We didn’t even get to those realms before the project died off.

But the most low-level tool I ever used for creating something, was probably my macro-assembler project… the “Life” simulation with glorious 320x200 resolution, 256 colors EGA graphics (Those are pretty trivial in assembler as all the video memory basically fits into one Segment - 64kb )… And it worked… Though it wasn’t epilepsy-friendly.

LD Compo? I'm In!

I am in for this weekend! My usual stack is:

  • Python
  • Pygame
  • PyCharm
  • PyTMX
  • Pyxel

Maybe this time I will finally do something useful in Unity, though.

I also intend to do some low-bitrate Twitch streaming of the dev process. Got 750 kilobits/sec to spare? I might have just the stream for you!

First Dare

Hoping to join the event, this will be my first Gamejam. I have experience with Photoshop, Krita, and Unity & C#

I’m in with new challenge

Hi all, i decide to join this LD but with new challenge. In Jam’s before I was doing some games in Android but for this LD I want to do it with JavaScript. I think it’s a good opportunity to know other language to do games

My question is, Is there any team who is going to do a game in javaScript and have a place for me or if not, any recommendation about a starting point, libraries, tools, blog posts, etc..

Thanks in advance.

Regards!!!
Juanjo

will a framework do the job?

I'm in... ?

Daaaamn I really want to participate but I have so little time this weekend...

It will be my second LD. I'm gonna try to do something, even if it's a ridiculously small browser game. Stay tuned for some javascript ascii-art weirdness !

I'm in for Ludum Dare 39!

This is my 5th time now. I’ll be going for the same tools as usual:

  • Engine: Unity
  • Graphics: Aseprite, Photoshop
  • Audio: Audacity, EnergyXT (I might not get to the point of adding audio, but I really hope I do this time)

Good luck and have fun, everyone! :grinning:

I'm in!

Long time no see, Ludum Dare. Last time was LD36 in Aug '16.

This is the first time I'm jamming alone, and depending on the theme, I'll either make a small new game, or finally finish one or several previous jam games that never got properly finished.

Main tools: - Unity (C#, MonoDevelop) - Photoshop - Maya - http://www.bfxr.net/ - http://boscaceoil.net/

Possible jam games to update / finish: 0. Baja Berserkers - to do: implement updated 3D models, make the car shoot and blow stuff up (incl. some sounds, effects, and basic enemy logic) 0. Bounty: Brawl - to do: update enemy spawning, enemy appearance (better differentiate them from the Player, and different types from each other), UI, menu and some polish 0. Shakespeare's Curse - to do: finish game logic (it was my first and only grid puzzle game, and I underestimated the increased complexity), add some sounds, music and menu

Im_in_001

This is the first time I'm going to participate in the LD.

I'm thinking about going for the Compo but I'm open to collaborating with anyone interested in making a game with me for the Jam

The stuff I know about:

  • Frameworks: Unity3D
  • Programming Languages: C#, JS
  • Visual: Pixel Art (Aseprite), Mildly Good at hand painting
  • Audio: Audacity, Beepbox

Recent Work

  • Small game I made with friends on an improvised Jam: It's Alive
  • Smaller game I'm working on my free time: Arkapongout

You can contact me through @AlbertoFdzM.

Im In...

My first ludum dare. Good luck everyone!

I'm most likely in for ld39, also...

(personal opinion begins) ...theme democracy sucks. I keep seeing the least exciting themes swim up to finals. Feel free to disagree but I'm starting to think LD may have attracted a lot of people who don't understand LD spirit, and who are upvoting themes which will improve their chances of "winning" rather than ones which will challenge them as game designers. Worst themes fall into two categories: 1) themes which define genre or gameplay more than they should, 2) themes which are seen to often in commercial published games. Best themes are the ones which are just an idea, a word or two or a sentence not related to gameplay.

Also, did you ever had a feeling that there might be such a thing as "Ludum Dare theme mafia", groups of developers&friends who organize into upvoting themes which will suit them rather than ones which will challenge them? Call me paranoid, I would agree. Anyway, good luck everyone and have fun on this upcoming LD.

I'm in!

Yup, I guess I'll be joining my first LD jam. Using GameMaker: Studio and GIMP, FLStudio if needed for sound. Good luck to everyone who is in!

I'm in!

...or will try to. The time zone difference make attending the even a bit difficult since it start early morning Saturday my time, and I work on Sunday.

Last LD I attended (and my first one) was 34, in which I tried sinking my teeth into Unity. This time I'm going to other way and attempting to use a codeless development environment - Stencyl - in order to focus more on gameplay and less on actual coding.

I've a vague idea for what I aim to achieve, but will have to wait and see what theme get selected.

Cheers!

I'm in!

Time for my second Ludum Dare! I got 9th place in humor for the compo last time around, I'm not expecting I'll be able to repeat anything like that this time. Especially considering I'm trying a new engine this time, so I'm gonna have to learn an engine and make a game at the same time this time around.

But no matter, Ludum Dare isn't about "winning" to me, so I've no doubt this will be a great experience :)

Test

Hi again

Do you remember our LD38 game -- Protolife? It was cute and small:

VG-LD39-03.gif

We decided to complete it. Thanks for all comments and feedback -- the best motivation.

And now it is almost a full-featured game:

VG-LD39-02.gif

LD39 setup: Volcanic Giraffe Team:
  • https://ldjam.com/users/a333 :art: deviantart
  • https://ldjam.com/users/graal :musical_score: audiotool
  • https://ldjam.com/users/icxon - that's me.
So... what shoud I say? We are in! :robot:

I'm in.

Just following a tradition.

The clock is ticking...

I need to speed up if i want to finish the engine i'll be using. enginetest.gif

Let's do it!

I often end up out of town on LD weekends, but I have absolutely nothing going on this weekend, so I'm doin' it! * Unity 5/Visual Studio * Blender * MagicaVoxel * PyxelEdit * LMMS/Beepbox/Bosca Ceoil * sfxr * audition/photoshop * OBS Studio

Remember: take breaks, get some exercise, eat some apricots (if you like apricots (I do))

༼⌐■ل͟■༽ I'm in.

First time joining a Ludum Dare! This is going to be exciting! :D

For anyone interested - the toolset I'm going to use: - Game Maker Studio 2 - Aseprite - beepbox (or FamiTracker if time allows) - sfxr

The development will be livestreamed @ Twitch.tv (twitch.tv/herrdekay). I'll also try to update the devblog during LD as often as possible. Due to the unfortunate timing for Europe though (the jam will start at 3am in the morning for me), I'm probably going to be kinda short on time. We'll see how it goes!

If I'm actually able to finish my game, I'll also try to release the GMS2 source after the LDJam deadline.

Also looking forward to playing all the other entries! :D

In and ready

In and looking forward to this. My last entry was the first LD I did "just for me". I didn't try to create something that other people would enjoy, just an experience that meant something to me. This time I think I may try half and half to see how I go. I didn't push or vote much on my last jam as I was incredibly busy around that time. Hopefully get more of a chance this time. Here is my last entry - https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/genesis-planet-kit

Looking to better that one :)

Usual tools Unreal 4 Photoshop Audacity BFXR Space tea and minimal sleep breaks.

See you all in the Jam!

  • G

I'm... probably... in

So I've got some stuff to do this weekend which is going to get in the way of valuable Ludum Dare time. That said, I can't just not do it...

Who needs 48 hours anyway, by my count I've got a good... 16? Let's see what I can do...

I'm in!

First Ludum Dare! I hope it will work quite fine... :) Good luck to all of you!!

in and ready to go!

my first ludum dare game jam, and my second game jam ever!

i'm not in here to place the best, i'm here for the challenge and experience with some tight deadlines.

(it might not help that i also joined a game jam that starts the day after ludum dare ends.)

using: * gamemaker studio 2 * bfxr (se) * aseprite / photoshop / pyxeledit (not decided)

I'm in, sorta

Not fully committed yet, but I am looking to try to make something. I am going to be building the game in Rust using glutin & gfx-rs. I plan to pull some common components and systems from my in progress game: https://github.com/agmcleod/agile_archer. Such as transforms, animation, etc.

Hi there!

I'm also doing a little something this time! My weapons of choice will be: - Pyxel Edit - sfxr - beepbox - PhaserJS

Really excited to see what everybody's gonna make. Have fun everyone! c:

Also, if I'm getting stuff done, I'll post it on my blog over at http://necodos.de

:>

HALLOOO!

Hi! I am cozyplanes, a 15yo dev who literally wants to do everything....

I will try to make a game in 72hrs this weekend, and because this is my first try, so anxious.

Hopes it will go well...

Well, see ya then!

My inventory: - Some laptop with Intel i3 processor  - Food  - Unity / C# (I hate JS, and I don't know any syntax...) - Bosca Ceoil (Bosca, Bosca!!!!!!!) :stuckout_tongue: - Thoughts (My anxiety is at high-level) :worried: - Music (NCS 24hrs live-stream in the go!)

Visit my github page for my recent projects! (full of spaghetti, though...) :spaghetti:

Or my website.

I'm IN!

Here i go again.

.GameMaker; .Photoshop; .Sfxr.

I'm in... i guess

Well... it's my first time with this account, i never finish a game, but my objective is finish something, whatever... i'm going to learn: Love2D(LUA), Gimp and GraphicGale(sprites and Art) and BoscaCeoil(Sounds and music)

The Adventures of Sam Carlisle: The Hunt for the Lost Treasure

Sam_Logo

So it has been awhile. We are working very hard on our first commercial release. That is why we would not be able to join the LD JAM this time around.

The game is set for release early October this year. We can’t wait for you guys to try it out.

Here is a picture of “the behind the scenes”.  See you soon.

Good luck!

I'm IN!

Yessss!! doing this thing again. Maybe going back to HTML5 this time... Maybe even co-op multiplayer, who knows! It all depends on the theme really. Whatever happens this will be my second game jam of the week.

I'M IN!

Yup, doing this again!

Really like the theme alternatives this time so really looking forward to it

I'm in! LD 39

Just saw this coming up yesterday, I've got a free weekend, so why not!

New site is fancy, hope I'm doing stuff right.

I am in (and will finish i hope)

Previous Ludum Dare did not go so well, this time I'm better prepared. so let's hope I can actually finish something.

This time, count me in

It's been a long time, Ludum Dare, but LD #39 is one I decided not to miss.

Taking Game Maker Studio 2 for a spin.

I'm jamming!

Hi people! This is my second Ludum Dare Jam and I'm very happy to be here again!

This time I'll be doing some pixel art with Pyxel Edit, using the #SoftMilk32 color palette created by mnrART, and FX design with cfxr sound generator.

I'll team up with my collegue @davidcollado that will use his own game engine (C++/SDL/OpenGL).

Have a good Jam and good luck! :metal::fire:

Our First LDJAM

this year I will team up with Szekeres Szabolcs in our first ever Ludum Dare, our tools will be Unity, Blender, Gimp & Krita, LF studio and FMOD studio. And maybe his brother Krisztian will join us to help out with some visual art.

Warm up

Here is a little warm up game that I created in Go in under two days, with my little friend Jolina who provided me with graphics and sound:

i am in boss

this is my first time doing ludum dare and i am really exited.......... to sleep at the end

Up the ante!

After the utter disaster that was LDJam38 for me, I've decided to take a more calm approach to the event.

While I will be participating in LD39, this time I'll do it in "jam mode". I'll still be working alone and I won't (or I don't plan to) use external materials, I think the extra time and the possibility of using already crafted art could make for a better more learning-focused experience.

Project info:

Game Engine: Unity 5.6.1 Language: C# Editor: Visual Studio 2017 Graphics: Gimp 2.8.2 Music & Sound: Audicity / Bosca Ceoil / sfxr

I hope finish this time

I don't promise nothing but if I have some idea with the winner theme my weapons will be:

  • Python3 (let's kill already Python2)
  • cx_freeze, for Windows users
  • Pyglet
  • graphics...maybe GIMP, or some pixel art editor
  • music and sound, I will see

the joys of a clean canvas
