LD30August 22–25, 2014

All done and uploaded!

Well, here is my entry to LD30!

Visibility is a light-based puzzle game where you must place your lights in efficient ways in order to be able to illuminate a path to the exit. In order to place these lights, you must be in the light realm. Entering into the realm is as easy as hitting space.

This game isn’t as linked to the theme as I had hoped, but I still had fun writing it.

Sounds may not work on Mac or Linux unless you have the required codecs, as they are .wav files.

There isn’t an applet at the moment as Java (and LWJGL) is rather awkward to port to browser without your own website to upload to. Sorry about that.

Entering the Jam

2014-08-25 01_05_44-ld30marudziikWell, so it’s Jam for me.

After spending too much time on not important stuff, I somehow managed to get Twine under control, but the story needs a lot more content to be playable. It’s not going to be something really cool, but at least I managed to implement a simple inventory system and work through some of the scripts I wanted to use. There’s even a simple achievement system in place.

I’m not sure if this will be fun to play, but I did learn a bit about Twine, JavaScript and creating story-heavy games along the way, so I really want to submit it. I’m not going to use any of the relaxed rules, and will enter the Jam just because there’s more time.

Tried to compose some kind of music for my game but it went pretty awful, so I’m not sure what to do about it yet. It seems that knowing how to use a tracker software is really only a very small part of the success. 😛

Congrats to everyone finishing the Compo, and good luck to everyone participating in the Jam!

It’s all Ogre now

I can’t even think right now.

Runner 2014-08-24 18-53-01-76

I’m done. I’ve read each e-mail line five hundred times over, but it’s done.

It’s an interesting yet quite challenging game where you have to examine every e-mail, download, and URL scrupulously in order to weed out bad ones. You can’t let a malware-infested program reach one of your computers.

Anyways, I should probably link: Click here for game

I can’t think straight. Have I said that yet?

Black Box Bandit

“You are the Black Box Bandit. You travel through the Interwebs and destroy the black boxes of the Utech corporation’s computer systems.

You do so, because Utech’s firm grip on modern society is unsettling. You do so, because of Utech’s global banning of muffins, your favorite desert, which forced you to the brink of civilized society to satify your muffin cravings.

I am Jack The Muffin Man, the world-renowned human-muffin hybrid and revolutionary. And, you, my friend, are the hammer that will strike at the heart of Utech and bring forth the Muffinpocalypse.”

This was my second LD and I had a lot a lot a lot of fun so that’s good.

Thanks,

Done!… I Guess…

Wizard of the Clix - An incremental game

Wizard of the Clix – An incremental game

Wizard of The Clix has been completed!

Well, it doesn’t have any sound, music or animation yet but mechanics are finished.

I will try to spice things up a bit next 1 hour but I’m not sure I can make it on time so I will submit it anyway in 30 mins I guess.

Here is the end and Constellations is (are ?) complete !

I finally ended this jam successfully, my game is finished, with online score and social sharing.

I made my first steps with LMMS (for the music) now I know I can do something, not awesome but something that do the job.
Obviously I’m still bad as an artist (in 48h).

Hope you all will enjoy my game, check my submission

Dreamshift

I’ve completed my entry, “Dreamshift“:

Guide our exhausted hero between the real world and the dream world to solve (simple) puzzles and make it to the exit alive!

There’s only 2 levels of the game currently.  I know I still have about an hour and a half, but at the current time I don’t want to risk breaking something by trying to add a third level.  If people here think I should add more, I may expand it later after the competition.  Feedback greatly appreciated!

portmortemish

Going to sleep, but this is the furthest I’ve been in a LD and I actually have some things accomplished.  Notes for next time / review:

  1. Collision detection: this does not work like on the c64.  Lost some time thinking I could do it that way, but – no, that would be slow IF it worked, which it will not as we do not have hardware sprites.
  2. Math: I am not particularly good at math and need to review some basic things about this, though this was good practice (and I accomplished the math I set out to do.)
  3. Swankypaint works very well for doing the gfx, use it again – easy to mock up, and easy to adapt afterward better.  (Was fun when the red car showed up and I went “holy crap, that actually looks _good_”)
  4. Next time, just assume the theme will suck, take the ones you liked from the suggestion voting, put into a randomizer, and randomly pick that theme at launch. Then apply the sucktastic theme afterward.
  5. The idea of working with a sucktastic theme isn’t so bad, it’s good practice, but then – you have other things to practice.
  6. Do spend more time on this to get collision detection ideas in.
  7. You didn’t get to the Dentistry part, mostly due to the collision detection (which was mostly math issues.)

Ok sleeping, putting this away – may pick it up later and work on it (in particular, the dentistry part probably needs to be done.)

New World. Finish.

Hi all. I have just finished my game.

I won’t be posting my game

It’s just too incomplete, this was my very first time attempting to create a strategy game and balancing everything out is an absolute nightmare and I just couldn’t do it to where it felt like a game. It just feels like an incomplete simulator with no pleasing graphics and no sound at all. Overall I just wasn’t inspired by the theme, it was my least favorite in the final round and frankly I don’t see how it got +500 compared to every other theme that got <0, but I’ll definitely see you all next ludum dare. Good luck in the voting periods!

Salvation – Not quite done but close enough?

I’m all out of time. I was frantically trying to fix some last minute bugs and add in some balancing but no luck. I also unfortunately couldn’t add any audio to my game since I didn’t have enough time to mess around with Audio listeners. I submitted an hour early just to be on the safe side.

BUT! I am still pretty happy with my little game, even if it has balancing issues and isn’t completely done. I did it all in 30 hours, excluding sleep breaks.

splashexample SubScreen

The last few things I added were tooltips for things since it’ll be pretty hard to figure out what to build without them. I also added a front end and a splash screen. A little bit of lore in the form of an email. I only submitted a web build for now as I want to add a few fixes before messing around with a PC/Mac build.

Now that the event is all done I can spend some time fixing things :) I’m going to take a break for now though!

Good luck with the odds and ends of your submissions guys!

Finished !

I finished my first participation for the Ludum Dare, and I’m very happy with what I’ve done 😀 ! It  was a great experience, though it was exhausting. I would never have thought that I could work so much in only 48 hours.

Please try and tell me what you think of…

Here’s a little screenshot of the game :

The game has 6 levels. Your goal is to reach the end of each level by jumping on platform and switching between 2 worlds.

ZooScreenshot

Almost gave up on it this morning as yesterday ended up being kind of a write off, but I’m really glad I pushed through. It’s not the deepest but I think it’s pretty fun.

I was worried about doing the graphics because I am no good at that stuff, this was my first all-solo jam where everything had to be done myself but I think the planets and things turned out OK even if I didn’t have time to animate them.

I wanted to add more puzzle elements too, more steps to life and whatnot, but 48 hours is pretty quick.

You can play ‘Zoo Hypothesis‘ here!

No Sound This Time

Welp, I am about out of time, and have not started sounds. My plan was to just use SFXR anyway, so I guess people will just have to listen to music while playing, or enjoy the silence :)

50 mins to go! 😀

Finished (sorta)!

The game is about a yong cube named: Cubic. On one fateful day Cubic got separated from his home world. Now he has to gross several worlds to return.

Divided We Fail — Finished!

What a blast! My team has been lucky enough to have started and completed two Ludum Dare jams this year, and you can bet we’ll be in for LD31.

Divided We Fail started off as a couple of different ideas all mashed together. When we saw the theme –“connected worlds”– we knew that we wanted to try controlling two characters at once. My first thought was something along the lines of The World Ends With You, where both characters required separate actions. That was going to be way too big for one weekend though, so we settled on an infinite runner instead.

Divided We Fail screenshot

The two stages are randomly generated and speed up as you go. When the robot collects a helicopter it spawns an angry bee in the little girl’s world. Conversely, when the little girl catches a butterfly, rockets come flying towards the robot. We wanted the worlds to feel truly connected, even though they’re so different. I think it worked out.

You’ll notice that the little girl has a watering can in her hand, and that the robot is looking downwards. Originally we’d had the idea that the girl would have to water flowers as she strolled along, while the robot would be busy shooting rockets at buildings. This meant stopping for a second to perform the action, and it really felt like it ruined the pace of an infinite runner. No time to update the sprites though, so there you go!

We got a lot of grief because our last entry was too hard, so hopefully this entry scaled it back enough. Either way, enjoy!

Finished something.

Phew. After 24 hours my first idea showed to be too complex. So after some hours full of desperation, idea finding and writing the best designed software ever (/s), I finally got something that resembles a game in some way.

See entry here: Yocast

Huge thanks to the LD team. Guys, keep being cool.

OK, it’s 2AM here in Czech Republic and i think my first LD game won’t get any better. And I’m too sleepy to write a blog post…

Finished my first LD!

I just submitted my game (Wraith Hunter)!  The last 48 hours have been an incredibly rewarding experience.  While it was fun to work on my game, it was just as fun to read about others’ games.  I saw many screen shots that made me drool; I can’t wait to try all the games out.

Typing in Space! At Least That’s How I Think of It

Finally! I managed to submit my first Ludum Dare entry!

It’s a typing game inspired by Z-Type. The things that troubled me in z-Type is when words overlapped each other and players don’t have the choice to prioritize targets.  I tried to eliminate those problems and I’m glad I did!

The sad thing is I didn’t accomplish a lot of features I set at the beginning. I’ve spent most of my time working on the core game mechanics and trying to learn PhaserJS.

In general, it’s a fun experience and I’m looking forward for next Ludum Dares!

I’m Out

Yeah. This was at the bottom of my priorities. I only had a few hours, and I had to work with some new mechanics. I may still post something for the jam though.

Can’t submit my entry?

Im not sure whats going on but the site won’t let me submit my game entry. It keeps telling me that I must include at least one screenshot. I included 4 screenshots but it won’t take them and it keeps saying the same thing and not letting me submit my entry. Anyone else having this problem? I need to submit now. There is only 35 mins left.

Maybe try a different browser?

Not done but made really good strides

I havent given up, but I am going to have to pass on having this done for the compo.  I am going to see how much I can get done and post the game in whatever state I have it in for the Jam deadline.  Really stoked on how far I have come in 2 days time.  Thanks for the great motivation LD!

and here is a screen shot of my progress(still needs a GUI of some sort and a lot more!)

Was a nice experience, first Ludum Dare.

Haven’t got the project done, but will definitely finish this game soon…

Ludum Dare 30 - After Life by Appocket.DE

Take from the rich, give to the poor (and I’m out)

robin_hood

Man, time flew this weekend. I added so much to the game. But it’s not enough! There’s no way I’m going to finish by the deadline, so I’m bowing out.

I added income and taxes. People’s income is based on their career. If someone doesn’t have enough money to survive (say, they are a starving artist), their relatives will help them out. If relatives can’t help them out, they could die.

At the start of the game, there are no taxes.  Here are some example stats before taxes:

before_taxes

You can have a flat income tax, a progressive income tax, or a negative income tax. After adding a negative income tax, it would look something like:

after_taxes

A negative income tax is a a progressive income tax with a basic income. So the number of rich and superrich shrink, and the number of poor disappear. Hey, it beats taking from the rich and giving to the poor the hard way. It doesn’t fix all problems though – middle class people could still be in poverty if they had several kids.

I also added some more awful, evil things you could do. You could exile all poor people from the island, for example.

But it all just wasn’t enough for a complete game.

It’s fun to watch the people interact over time and build their own personal stories. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, each person was simulated individually, and they had relationships and children.

And it was fun to try to fix poverty problems or exile people you didn’t like (you could exile all corrupt politicians for example). But there were no “win” condition, and “losing” was possible, but unlikely. You could make your own goals, but goals could be reached too easily. And there were no negative consequences for exiling an entire group of people. It needed a lot of gameplay work.

So, it was fun to work on, but I’m out. Maybe next time.

Video Game status: 100%

My game, Greener Grass, is complete and ready to play!

The idea is that you make your way up to the constantly cycling portal above your world, in search of the one universe that doesn’t entirely consist of a bottomless pit with various hazards floating above it. Unfortunately, you don’t have much luck with that.

If you’re a fan of challenging platforming madness and ice cream, then you’re in luck, because this game has plenty of challenging platforming madness. Click here to play it, and then maybe get some ice cream afterwards.

Google drive still works, too.

Make it public to web and then use the following url to access the site googledrive.com/host/[id] , where id is the id of the directory you published. You can read the id in the right infobox, if i remember correctly.

Finished!

Ah, about half an hour from the deadline, it’s finally time for me to start breathing steady again.

I’ve finished.

While, in the end, the visual novel turned out to be more like a text adventure than an actual game, and I never got to dedicate any time to music or art, I still think the project just might be able to stand up on it’s own. The link to the game’s right here, if anybody’s interested. http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=6463

Here’s the first couple sentences of the blurb I wrote down on the game’s page, if someone want’s an idea of what it’s about:

“The story follows two brothers and their father throughout their lives together and apart in the near future, starting in the year 2074. In this future, all of the Earth is governed by a utopian government known only as the Empire. “

More information on the game’s page.

This was certainly a fantastic adventure, everyone. It’s been great, and I can’t wait for next time.

Just submitted my entry …

It was my first time participating and I’m happy that I created something that at least works. It showed me, that I’m not that good with Photoshop 😉

Bi-Bob Screenshot

Doesn’t look good, but it works. It was intended to be a bit longer but I hindered myself with nonsense.

In “Bi-Bob” you control one person in two different worlds. The two worlds have some similarities but big differences as well. With the character of one world, you can affect the other world and you need to do this to progress. On the way to the end two stories are told.

Give it a try, if you like.

It was fun working on it and I finally took my first steps in the 2D Area. I learned something, which is all I wanted to do with this project.

Good Night and Good Luck to everyone in the rating phase …

So… Next Time!

Yep, it turns out being busy all weekend for my first Ludum Dare was a mistake. Also, using Unity for my first one may also have been kind of a mistake since I spend probably a third of the time learning to use it.

But you know what? I had a lot of fun! So this was a bit of a wash (although I did make the submission for the hell of it), but next time I’m hoping to make a real showing!

I’ve made it! (napping never felt so good)

Hooray! My first ever Ludum Dare game and the first game I’ve really completed and shared since I was 14.

Saturday morning it all seemed entirely hopeless, so it feels pretty good to get something out there now. It may not quite be the world’s greatest game, but I can’t deny its unlikely existence.

I’m rather proud of the little teleporting animation and the sunburt boat man.

http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-30/?action=preview&uid=38469

Can’t wait to start playing the games, but it’s nearly 2am and I’ve got to be up for work in the morning.

And now, to collapse.

Finally! Love Craft!

Finally done! And now with a name: Love Craft!

I wanted to do something not related to space, since most of the entries will do that. So I thought in connect worlds metaphorically. “Everybody wants a person to share a life, to found a family, to fall in love, to marry, etc; and when this happen, one person connects its own world to the other”.

I’ve lost so much time on Behavior Trees that I couldn’t add the sounds, what is a shame. However, I kept my initial plan (first time) and I enjoyed the resulting game. It is not that fun, but I liked anyway.

I was originally supposed to change the music, but I was too lazy so I did not.  The current version is identical to the version I posted link yesterday, so I could as well submit this game as compo entry, but I didn’t have time to set up the Game Jolt page.

Anyway, now it’s finished!

Good luck everybody!

It’s the end of the compo and I just want to wish everyone good luck!  I have to watch True Blood with the gf now but I’ll be playing and voting afterwards!

I’m out!

Working with unfamiliar tools, I didn’t really expect to finish on time – was more for the experience than anything else.

Seeing some of the games produced over the weekend though, I’m very impressed. Seems LD attracts more and more talent each time.

Great job everyone, looking forward to playing your games!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, it’s done ! First LD !

Hi, I finished working on WebInterstellar !

I enjoy to share this little game with you, I hope you’ll enjoy playing it and experiment with the physic :)

Description : In WebInterstellar you are a spider which has to survive in a dangerous universe where malefic planets can kill throwing other planets on you. You can defend yourself, making web to an other planet, and then using inertia to throw your “projectile” on the ennemies. Each kill will give you more score. But your web supplies are not infinite, and if you run out of web, you’ll die, because it’s your life gauge too. There is a way to earn Web : in each solar system, there is a star in the middle. This star waits for eating planets of its own color. It’ll reward the ones who do it with Web. So, you just have to throw green planets on green stars, etc… To earn Web !

Controls :  Move the player with “zqsd” or the arrows, and make a web by clicking the left mouse button and dragging the web to a planet (try staying clicking the button when you grab a planet to make an other web, to an other planet, creating a chain of planets !)

Yipieee! Its done <3 "World Connector Club"

that was really hard work… but i finished it. Im so happy now <3

this time I focused more on the presentation, so the actual gameplay is not very complex.

its also very short… you can play through it in 2 minutes. but if you want more score you must play longer.

its a bit arcade like..

The World Connector Club is waiting for you 😉

and again the game is a bit strange…XD

Submission Hour?

What is “Submission Hour“? (Sorry, this is my first LD)

Just asking because I have been trying and failing to get my game uploaded to GameJolt for about 30 minutes now. :/
Does this mean I’m out of LD compo?
Every time I try to set up a new game it just puts me back on the dashboard page, with no new game profile to add distributions to.

—–Edit:
Well, I figured out the problem with uploading to GameJolt.
As I suspected I was doing something derpy, but it took me until now to figure out what it was.

I kept forgetting to set one of the fields that I thought was optional. I didn’t realize it because rather than indicating that I’d missed a required field, the form just sent me back to the dashboard. And as you can imagine the closer time got to running out the less I noticed any details. :)

As far as I know the submission hour is the Legendary 49th Hour Lurking In The Depths Of Time (LFNHLITDOT in short) that allows participant to upload their last minute fixes or deal with uploading troubles. At least that’s what I believe it is. I might have crossed the border by a bunch of seconds myself, so such hour is/would be a blessing. ^^”

Issues uploading Screenshots?

Does anybody know if there are restrictions on what the file size or dimensions a screenshot should have in order to be uploaded on a submission page? I have a few 1600×900 fullscreen shots but none of them seem to upload properly. Could it be a result of the infamous server load that happens here at the start and end of competitions?

I forget if it’s an under 2 MB thing (1MB?). I know GIFs don’t seem to work, and I heard someone was having trouble with JPGs. Try PNG.

Servers

The first night, since theme annuncied, here in Spain is really late, 2:30 am approx, i spent like 8h creating a mongodb server with php api rest to realise next day that it would take another two days to be implemented.
So, I moved to appwarp server for Unity for the first time after analyze all the other options like photon cloud, smartfoxserver etc
The demo was working, i added all the assets, and did some coding all the day until now, barely sleeped, the project got corrupted in a physics online loop in the editor and i was in pain, lucky me i recovered the files this morning and now the only part left is to finish some online mechanics and scores ,etc
Hud is done, also character motor and cool rendering with mirroringimage fx.

All done!

I’ve finished my submission, Translation Points.

comp2

I had some last minute deployment issues that ate into my testing time, but I think its at least reasonably polished. Reasonably.

I’ll see if I can get together a post mortem later.

Post before sleep…

I made it!

Finally after two days of hard work, my game is done. Well there are lots of things that I’d like to have implemented, but time’s up!

Now if you excuse me, I really need some sleep, tomorrow I have plenty of games to test :)

Beginning The Game!
Oh joy!

I tried to make the game a puzzle-platformer, but I think it turned more into a platformer than that.  Either way, enjoy my 48-hours work to create a game with no storyline!  It turned out to be a very simple game, though a lot more can be added to it really easily.

Below expectations =( The last hour was just smashing workable stuff into the code, had no courage to risk at all, and building the poor level =( .. Even the debug colors are still there.. But hey, I made it, my first Ludum Dare entry =)

Beautiful!

Postmortem of my First game ever!

Things I regret:

This being my first game.

This being my first ludum dare.

Forgetting to eat on the first day.

Almost quitting 3 times.

Not sleeping at all! -Lies, I past out on the chair for 20 mins.

Things I don’t regret:

Not sleeping at all! -Lies, I past out on the chair for 20 mins.

So without further delay, I hereby present to you, the cause of this day’s pains and troubles, my first game, my first LD entry, DISCONNECTED WORLDS!

And I’m done!

My first Ludum Dare game is finished, and I’m surprisingly happy with the results. I’m very new to the Unity enginge, but it is serving me well.

It’s funny how I’ve been thinking about the maps, wanting to make them almost all the way through the competition, but I didn’t feel ready to create them until the last few hours. I hope you will enjoy the game as much as I did making it!

Looks like this website is missing some JS escape things (not really my division). The code creates this amazing button 😀

DISPARATE all done and ready to rock!

First Ludum Dare complete!  WOOHOO!  Still didn’t have the whole 48 hours for this but did the best with what I had.  I did have a single player mode in but had to yank that out at the last minute.

Hope you all enjoy!

And…submitted

DINO BOLT is over here if you want to give it a whirl. As usual, time just evaporates. Even for a simple game I just ran out of time. I’m pretty happy with the overall package and level of polish though.

Oh hey it’s the deadline I should stop

That was me 30 minutes ago. Anyway now the game is submitted. What a relief. Here’s the link for the game if anyone’s interested.

All in all I think I’m fairly satisfied, though the game idea was a bit too grand to fully complete in 2 days. I was able to get the main game mechanics working, but I didn’t have enough time to draw more variations in the art or add any music/sound, so the game is a bit bland right now. There also isn’t a tutorial and the game is confusing as hell. Oh well. I did add a readme but who reads those these days.

For anyone that has no idea what this game is, it’s a “befriend people cause you’re a penguin that wants to become a pharaoh” game. You basically shove fish down people’s throats hoping they’ll like you. However it’s significantly harder to befriend someone that’s already popular, so you have to climb your way up.

I actually like the game quite a bit, though currently it’s not very player friendly. I’ll probably rework it a bit and release it later with a bunch of other stuff added. Also clean up the code. Oh god the code.

Friendly Baubles Post-Mortem

Whew! Well, done. Just by a nose.

Things I wanted to do but didn’t have time for:

  • More sprite graphics for the various characters (had to slap ugly coloring on repeated ones, to make them distinguishable)
  • Snazzy title screen and/or win graphic
  • More variety of paths in the worlds – currently there’s just world 0, world 1, and the other three worlds’ “friends” all travel the same paths from world 1.

Things I’m proud of accomplishing:

  • Learned a facility with CreateJS
  • A little background music (even if it’s just something I threw together in a few minutes’ recording time)
  • Somewhat sophisticated path-traveling (that I didn’t get to take much advantage of)
  • The few graphics I managed to get finished.
  • Fixed some broken understandings of how prototyping works in JavaScript.

Hopefully I can be much faster next time, now that I’m more comfortable with the tools.

I need to get more familiar with Inkscape’s oddities and quirks, or start using a better replacement. Using it on a Mac instead of Linux also cost me the ability to make some slightly nicer-looking fudged graphics for the end there (using Color Filters instead of wholesale replacing all fill colors on various objects would’ve been nice).

There are some minor quirks with how my version of CreateJS is working. Hopefully I’ll remember and adjust my design accordingly for next time.

Anyway, I did what I set out to, and I had fun doing it. It was a good way to force me to learn the tech better, so hopefully I’ll leverage that to make more games just for fun. :)

My creation is called GalactiTrader. You can play/rate it here.

I even managed to make a little tutorial video for how to play it:

Good gaming everyone!

First Ludum Dare in the Bag!

Whew!  What a weekend.  I started at 9 pm EST Friday evening and didn’t sleep until around 12:30 PM Saturday afternoon.  I tried to sleep Friday night, but my brain was in work mode, so I gave in and worked through the night.  So after 6 hours of sleep Saturday afternoon, I worked pretty much non stop until now, just before 9 pm Sunday evening.  Yeah, I just made a game in 48 hours, only sleeping 6 of those 48 hours.  I’m going to sleep like a rock tonight!

This was my first Ludum Dare comp, so I wasn’t sure what to expect or how it would go.  Besides being extremely tired, I had a great weekend.  It might be my lack of sleep delirium, but I feel my game is pretty fun.  I’d post a screenshot, but unfortunately it looks like I’m not able to (maybe because this is my first post).  I’m too tired to worry about it now.

Anyway, the inspiration of this game was Quill18’s entry from the last LD, Drill18.  I enjoyed his entry and thought “how cool would it be to be able to mine all kinds of different planets?”  It just so happens that the theme “Connected Worlds” fit that perfectly.  I took the idea and ran with it and the result is, to me at least, a ton of fun!  I hope you will try it out and please let me know what you think.  I’m open to constructive criticism!  I don’t do much game development, so I’ve still got a lot to learn.

Thanks for reading and thanks for playing my game!

Not ideal finish

So I was like an hour or two short to add some actual levels other than tutorial. Thats’s a shame, but then I’m still glad I made something that works. Check it out, will you?

ingame2

Now I’m going to bed. Tomorrow will be better.

Tags: finished, not really

Still some bits to add, like sound effects a scoring system and one more effect, so I’ll take another crack at it tomorrow, but here’s what I’ve got so far. It’s a side-scrolling shooter, WASD or cursors to move, Ctrl or LMB to shoot.

Symbiosis is a stealth game inspired by Brothers-Tale of Two Sons. You control two little bots at the same time. I ran out of time to create more levels so unfortunately only 5 levels…
