Nice concept. I’ll follow your posts. Do you have twitter?

The Bear and The Light

I’m making a sort of puzzle game. I’ve got background tiles, movement and shapeshifting.
Next: trigger the shapeshifting with colliders.

[WIP]

I decided to make the game using Python. You will control an Alien and have to save the animals/plants from human pollution (and mutation). To do this, you shoot a substance that causes shapeshift. I’ve created a visual gameplay preview with the sprites. I hope you Enjoy!

Im in

Im in for the jam. Bought a few assets from the unity asset store $15.

I cant believe no one has done a the thing type game yet (or maybe they have). Although Im going for something less cool.

I’m in!

I know it is a bit late to be posting this but I am in! I will be using a simple and bad engine I made a while ago in Java! It can be found here: https://github.com/joshbradbury52/JNADE

Sidewalk Empire (HTC Vive game)

Capture

Hey! We’re Tomorrow Today Labs, a VR studio based out of Seattle WA & we’re just getting started on development after 30 min of talking out the basic design.

Already made a few initial decisions:

  1. We’re not into the theme, so we’ll be working on another brand new idea instead: lemonade stand in VR!
  2. Definitely making a room-scale Vive game
  3. Definitely streaming the game jam on Twitch from our studio

We’ll be making a game where the player mixes different variations of lemonade (more or less sweet, strawberries, small/med/large etc) and serves them to customers that stop by their lemonade stand every day. If we have time, we’ll incorporate management features like traditional lemonade stand e.g. weather forecasts, inventory, ice cubes melt at the end of each day etc.

First thing’s first: get the ingredient combining interactions workings!

You guys can check out the stream here, or follow us on Twitter: @TTLabsVR

I’m in!

Just woke up and forgot to post my I’m in post, so here it is :)

Code: HaxePunk + FlashDevelop

Art: Paint.net

Music: Bosca Ceoil

Sound: as3sfxr

Good luck everyone!

Sell Your Creations!

Hey everybody!

This Ludum Dare is coming up super quick and it is going to be a good one I can feel it! Everybody who participates is a champion and deserves recognition for creating such wonderful things for people to use! The rest of the world have a hard time realizing the amount of effort, work and creativity put into every game made ever,ESPECIALLY indie games. I am an indie developer myself and I love creating software for people to use for little to no charge, its just the sheer pride i take in my creations and being able to help people.

I have created an online indie game marketplace where you indie developers can go and sell your games FOR FREE!(no hosting or submission fees) I had launched the website back in January and from then had nothing but a positive experience. I do not charge the developers on my website, I encourage as many games as possible to be posted, I deal with getting the users to buy and play the games.

To Mioti Games

A user of my website, Blockout22, and I have been in the works of creating a launcher for my website, and it is currently in heavy development, but works! It is made in java and will be free forever!

If you would like to be a tester for us, Download the Launcher Here

Happy developing everybody, I can’t wait to play your games!

Friday Update

LD35Update01s

Pictured below is the tight little test factory setup for testing. Also kept my raycast range to infinity to I can quickly play test with just the mouse (no WASD)

LD35UpdateShot01

Some progress so far on the main game loop. I have my main machine state working, buttons can be presed, objects can be wrangled. Might call it a night at get back at it tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow’s plan: finish all core loops and object mechanisms, prepare grey box layout of level, and event triggers. Sunday tentative plans are for textured 3d models, sounds, a main menu, and adjustable mouse sensitivity.

Good luck, everyone!

I think I’m going to use this as an opportunity to start working on an idea I came up with a week or so ago.  Full disclosure: I did a bit of work on the game before the event: sketching up stuff, working out ideas in a little Python script, and creating a boilerplate Unity project for it.  Most of the work will have been done over the weekend, though.

Progress!

I had to start a couple of hours late, but I’m in now, and I’ve started building a game! I’m doing a platformer, and this time I’m trying to put some effort into making sure the player doesn’t feel floaty like my last game. I have doors and buttons all dynamic and rigged up, and I’m happy with how I’m going.

Tools used so far:
Unity
Photoshop
Visual Studio

Happy Luduming!

Connected nodes

Two hours is way too long to accomplish this, but I’m on 4 hours of sleep.

Plug it in

4 hours in, and I’ve got a couple of really simple models going. They feel fairly satisfying to plug in, though.

Sorry about the gif quality, apparently wordpress doesn’t like scaling animated gifs >_>

Some early plugs

LD35 – here we go!

I think this theme is one I can work (I hope!)

Tools I’ll be using:

  • Programming in Go(Lang)
  • Hosting on Google App Engine (GAE)
  • Creating a text adventure about shape shifting

Strapping on for a long weekend, here we go!

Update 1

Previous Post: First Time! Linux, C99, SDL2, OpenGL 3.2

Accomplished
– Nap!
– Setup build for 5 architectures: Linux 32 & 64 bit, Windows 32 & 64 bit, OSX 64 bit
– Tested build system with older demo project “Tiny Quest”
– Wrote static website generator in Lua for releasing binaries in ZIP files
– Generator converts folder of ZIP files into HTML file by looking for README files included in ZIP files
– Rsync script to upload generated website and future ZIP file releases to new web page at: clash.io
– Listened to Castlevania Soundtracks
– “Castlevania … with more werewolves!” 😮
– Wrote down some other ideas …

Next
– “viewer” executable for testing code for generating 3D characters\ objects

I’m in, I think!

At least going to try this again.  Hoping doing a few stream sessions over the weekend will get me through it this time.

I plan to use Visual Studio and the SFML game library in C#.  I’ll decide Compo or Jam once I get going, that’s always my strategy…

Art is done, and a prototype that is static

Hi guys!! I’m excited and my game is called “Amoebam”, where you are an amoeba. The idea is that the player shifts his shapes with different moves, attack has a different shape, movement has another shape etc.,

The above is just a rough placement of entities, but I’ve only done in the image editor. Still haven’t written code for it. I’ll be using WebGL and OpenGL 3.3 on web and desktop respectively.

See you soon guys! Have lots of work..

I need a Ludum Dare logo.

I think a ludum dare logo would be really cool to put in the loading screen, haven’t been able to find one yet though.

My profile picture 😛

Shapeshifting Puzzler

Creating the atmosphere. Still not sure if it looks very good. Used unity’s toon shader but looks like I’ll have to work it onto the textures itself.

4hrsArtStyle

I’m doing a shape-shifting maze.

System and process setup

I am setup and ready to go with my ideas on paper. I setup a timelapse script for the first time.

What do most people use for their intervals to take screenshots? One every 5 seconds, 90 seconds??? Thanks, and good luck!!
